[How to play 'slimmed down' FM2022 on iMac?]

@Desmond Richardson so there is no option to play the 'tactics and transfers' version this year?

I'm aware there is no Touch version of the game anymore but the Xbox version that is mentioned as the slimmed down version is only for Windows.  If I play on an iMac do I have to play the full version?

I don't know if this is just something in FM Touch but if you look in the transfer clauses section of your transfer tab, occasionally some clauses are available to actively buy out.

I literally came in for 2 days in one job, it was a win by 5 goals or relegated to an inactive league job so I won the game 2-1 iirc but got sacked immediately after confirmation of being relegated.

What I tend to do is take the compensation amount and bid that for the player (if it's a small club, I will add a bit to it) 99/100 it is accepted.

Once I start winning things, I like to rip my team apart and start again. I run an Ajax system so I can manage this without too much fall out.

Much like @XaW I have a player who is simlar to yours in my current team but like his report says, he is fringe/squad player (ability-wise) but because of my formation and tactics he fits perfectly and produces.  Don't take your scouts reports as gospel, you need to make sure each play you sign has/or will have the skill-set you need. If someone offered me the money you offered for your player, I would snap their hands off.

To be honest, his attributes don’t scream to me top player, especially for that amount of money. He might make a serviceable rotation player or an advanced forward bit in my opinion you’ve over paid there.

Kept getting non stop transfer offers from Hertha. Was a fantastic talent. A home grown kid with potential up the wazoo. But he threw a tantrum and was unsettled as they made him their "Top Target".  They made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I let him go. 

 

As big and offer as that is, it’s in $ so less than first appears (probably about £260m), far bigger than any AI offer I’ve ever seen though.

There was a whole raft of them, Jonas Lunden too. Was it Sindre Loe Bing who could play everywhere? Alexander Farenaud too. Tommy Svindal Larsen and Lasee Olsen we’re amazing as were Pavel Brozek and Fernando Cavenaghi

I think that might be your issue, I’d step off a little and sit a little deeper and hit on the counter attack to begin with.

In reality, this is one of the biggest jumps in class because of many things. How did you go up? Did you scrape promotion or cruise up? I’d think about making your team difficult to break down and keep the ball well to begin with and then as the players become more comfortable in the league try and become more expansive

I have flagged this in the last few versions of FM touch - after a few years (usually about 6+) pretty much every Bundesliga team gains worldwide reputation.

Yes - I recently played as Rennes and bought Riann Brewster, who not only went on to gain French nationality but became eligible to play for France too.

I've managed a fair few nations this time round and one of the things I have seen is that it is impossible to get a play to commit to an international call up to the country I am managing and I don't know if it is a bug or not.  At the minute I am playing as Nigeria and even those newgens who have Nigeria as their main nationality are rejecting call ups; also players who are in the 28-31 bracket who have never been near their national team at any point are rejecting call ups even though we're currently 15th in the world rankings.  Has anyone else noticed this or am I just getting lost in the minutae?
