  1. I too find the Analyst Report most useful. In addition to the heat map the pass map can be quite useful to identify your opponent's main playmaker. I find the heatmap very useful in addition to the Scout Report that goes into your Inbox to identify where there will be gaps in your opponent's set up. For example, you can identify if they play a defensive full back or a offensive wingback. You might identify a gap between their defensive line and midfield or you can see which of their CMs is likely to make forward runs.

With information like that I then like to determine where I'll play my playmaker, on which side of my midfield I'll use a Mezzala, if I play a inverted winger on support or a winger on attack etc.

  2. I think your settings for "Play Through The Middle" and "Narrow" could actually be hurting your chances of seeing through balls centrally, as the centre of the pitch becomes very congested with those settings.

Additionally, you are pressing high and you are Man Utd, so teams will be pinned back in their own half more. This means there's less space to exploit in general. If you're keen to see more defence splitting passes then consider dropping your line of engagement and play more in transition.

One thing I'd look at are the traits for your playmaker (does Fernandes have Plays Through Balls/Tries Killer Passes), as well as his PIs. For example I'd set Fernandes to 'Take More Risks' if that isn't already part of the AP-A instructions. You could also set a Team Instruction for Take More Risks. If I recall correctly then risk taking has a strong influence on the frequency of through passes.

I thought I did. I clicked where it says «Hall of Fame» under the FM-button. (The drop-down where you can save the game etc). And it shows probably the leaderboard-names. For me it looks like they are swapped with the real names.

But where do I find the in-game manager standings?

Yeah, sounds like you're in the right place. I see two options though, one for Leaderboard and another for 'Hall of Fame'. If you don't then there might be a bug or an issue with a custom skin?

  4. As soon as Galatasaray played the ball wide PSV was pressing very aggressively with all ten outfield players on one side of the pitch. To stimulate this in game, maybe add Opposition Instructions to the opponent's wide players to Always Press. There were also one or two Galatasaray midfielders that PSV seemed to target, as soon as they received the ball the press was even more aggressive, which again is something an OI could recreate.

    Overall Table

We did what we could and we easily won both games as we scored four and were dominant both times, unfortunately for us this wasn't enough as UdD won both of their matches as well,to add insult to injury,UdD were give two extra points which is why the gap was five points in the overall table,Alianza Lima were also give one extra point but that didn't matter in the end as we were still twenty points ahead of them.Imagine what would of happened if we just used a 4-2-3-1 in the Apertura stage! The Juan Aurich match also saw the return of Dewson who had been out for six weeks, nice to see him get a hat-trick in the last match of the season.

Just the two games in December as we will be facing UdD in the Champions Playoff, the result will be over two legs and is usually the winner of the Apertura and winner of the Clausura  so it is another opportunity to get some more silverware. The only downside is that we have failed to get even a point against them this season so it will be a tough ask.

What did they get the bonus points for?

  6. I don't have an answer for you, but I personally do find it much more rewarding when you gain an insight from doing some analysis (like you're already doing) and to then successfully pull off a change to exploit or counter an opponent.

What I'd suggest is to mostly go with your own tactics based on your team's strengths, and only tweak one or two things initially if you feel those changes would be particularly effective against an upcoming opponent.

I also try to make the change early on in the week so that the team has the entire week during training sessions to prepare.

Can someone explain me why my 190+cm defenders can't aerial and my oponents scores a lot of goals with a header even 171 cm striker with 5 aerial.

Some other things go into winning headers in addition to Heading and Jumping Reach or Height. For example, attributes like Strength and Bravery, and maybe things like Positioning as well?

  8. I'm such a one club man that I don't know the answer to this. When you moved from Fribourg to Luzern, was there an option to select their contract offer but start after the season ends? That way you could've tried to lead Fribourg to promotion and then make the step up to Luzern

If that's not an option then I feel it's something for SI to look at, I think it's quite common for a coach to have an agreement in place to join after the season

Yep - I do it for 2 reasons. Once they are accomplished I do also like them to play on both sides, so I end up with a lot of D (LR), M (C) or D (LR), DM (C) too.

    1. It means that I can work on more ball playing abilities through their schedules as the likes of CWB is very physical heavy and it then allows me to teach more offensive minded traits, which I like to bring back to my defensive players.

    2. It gives consistency, even if they aren't a great finisher - I feel like a WB and a MEZ have a very similar job, just in different parts of the pitch. I like wider players who can score goals as this gives me different options to use the space so I have no issues with a LB-cum-MC who isn't the strongest finisher.

I'm actually training Mewies as a SV(a) at the moment because that's quite a 'mental heavy' schedule and that'll give him the best base, should he have a really high PA.

EDIT: I also really like IWBs, so, from an offensive viewpoint - I’m not too worried about pace. Defensively, we do play relatively high but are compact so it’s not too hard for him to be covered in a turnover of possession in the transitional phase. He’s only 15 though so I’m hoping for some ‘natural’ physical growth.

I like your approach to training young players in multiple positions.

As far as you're aware, does learning a new position use some of a player's available ability? If so that would make me think twice about versatility over attributes

    March 2030: Worries?

Alex has settled in ok - scoring 12 goals in 25(5) games in the league at an average of 7.09. However, there are two things I'm concerned at:

His 'Days to gain nationality' tell me that he's been in the country 273 days yet can't even speak basic English and his inability to connect with Ejza (who is Pro) tells me that his Professionalism is low, too. He's in the Core Social Group but there are two things that are worrying me.

Is this a negative just because these are two teammates whose personalities manages to conflict; or had Daniel been mentoring Alex?

It's a brilliant way of connecting the dots and find out more about one's personality, very clever sir
