  1. Brimsdown 2027-2028: we lose in the playoffs. Lost in each cup in our first game on PK's. Brimsdown 2028-2029: We do the double!: We clinched promotion from Eastern Counties League Division 1 South (level 10) with 4 games to go, then we won the Eastern Counties Cup. Our grounds, Wormley Sports club, which we share with Wormley Rovers and Buckhurst Hill, were being expanded during the season, so we played in a rented ground, The Royal Agricultural College, in front of a little more than a dozen fans at each home game. I think we can expect a few more fans as we see what Level 9 has to offer.
  2. Brimsdown season one (or parts thereof) I took over with the team in 16th place, having earned 9 points from 11 games. There was no staff, and barely enough players to have 5 subs. I did not work any miracles with the team, we did not even make the playoffs, but I did earn 43 points in 27 games. And I was not responsible for any cups. They brought me in right after the previous manager lost back to back in both cups. On to season two with Brimsdown, my first full season with them.
  3. The answer is 28. My Selston team, full of players recruited by other teams, players who turned down those offers to stay with Selston, went 28 games without a win. And I was fired. And so I reintroduce myself as manager of Brimsdown. Home kit is green. Away kit is green. We wear green and are known as the Limers. (For any Marble League fans, my team is the Green Ducks).
  4. Selston - Season 3 - still in level 9, United Counties League Premier Division North Another embarrassing season where we failed to bring it all together. In our final 15 games we only lost twice, but we only won five. I won Manager of the Month in February with 5 wins and a draw, but every other month was bad. I ended up signing three or four rejects from Petersborough Sports, but they were not able to put it all together in level nine. Season 4 will be delayed a bit due to some travel plans, but I am going to stick with them as long as they are willing to keep me around.
  5. Selston Season Two: A very frustrating season all around. The league was mediocre (the difference between 3rd place and 11th place was 6 points), but we failed to make anything of our season, including the cups. The first half of the season was full of underperformance, but in this case it was not a player or two who were causing the trouble, instead it was a coach. As soon as I got rid of him our season turned around, but we were in the bottom the table at that moment. Then as things started running smoothly, my backup keeper, who signed to be a backup keeper, left because he was upset that I was using him as a backup keeper...and of course a game or two later, my main keeper got injured, so we were forced to play kids in goal. And in that same game, one of my leading scorers went down - both players were injured for about six weeks. So, each time we saw a bit of light, something else happened. On to season three.
  6. I held off on committing to the team until I knew that I could make it through the first season. We bounced around mid-table too long, dropping too many points, so we ended up losing the league by one point. In our second game against Bourne Town, we took the lead in the 80th minute, just to give it away and have to settle for the tie on an 87th minute goal from 25 yards out. We won't even talk about the cups.
  7. Restarting at Hackney Wick. I have decided to start over with the updated database. I failed in three straight seasons of being promoted out of level 9 with Saffron Dynamo, each season falling just short, so now it is time for me to impress the 7 season ticket holders of Hackney Wick... So my score resets to zero.
  8. Won promotion by finishing third (lower right corner) in my first season, and did nothing at all in the cups. On to level 9!
