It's the predicted thing football manager does when you go into settings. So it recommends low. but it plays like garbage. Stuttering and just really poor. 

 

Which is why I thought I'd mention. See whether it's just me seeing FM majorly reduce performance across versions

Appreciate that. But just wondered if anyone has experience that difference between versions themselves. Helps me maybe understand if it's just FM requirements driving the graphics performance drop or something else (like maybe a hardware issue)

If you've played FM21 or 22, the performance should be broadly similar based on my own experience of playing FM23.

I've seen a massive performance drop from FM22 to FM23. 3 star graphic performance on FM22 to 1 star on FM23. (macbook pro i7 2019 with 16gb ram).

Not sure if thats just the situation now or whether FM23 isn't picking up the dedicated GPU in the MBP.

Anyone compared FM22 to FM23 on their macbook Pros (specifically intel versions).

Have a 2019 i7 16gb macbook pro and my graphic performance has gone from three stars in FM22 to one star in FM23. Quite a drop and wondering whether its something thats an issue with the game as can't imagine the requirements have jumped that much?

@frank_flores i've not had issues for a long time now. 

What I did find is that I think FM is obviously a resource hog (rightly so with how much is going on), so it's using everything on mac in terms of resource. When plugged in to charge, I think it was causing a chip to overheat (a charging chip) and so my mac decided it wouldn't charge and would then introduce the process to try slow the machine down.

Switching the port it was charging stopped the conflict.

But all good nowadays

Just out of curiosity how is this going for you @alejodelau?

I've been fine with my 2019 i7 macbook pro (on 12.01) up until this week. Then it's crashed a few times on me. On investigation, it seems I'm having issues (more so than normal with an intel mac) with thermal throttling, which has kicked in a process (in activity monitor) called kernel_task. This is a system process which basically throttles the cpu to help get the thermals under control. But I think it's not enough so the game literally locks up and I've had to quit.

Still not 100% sure on it all, whether perhaps something else on the mac is amiss or its just about thermals. I've updated to 12.1 today and will keep an eye on whether it's got any better for me.

Else I'm going to take mine to a genius bar, perhaps for a service and see whether anything else is happening to cause it all.

Then it's just about justifying to myself that i must have an M1 Mac and it's time to upgrade ha

Where the country is listed on both sides, means I've seen the deadline day feature on a youtube playthrough. For all others, I created a database with a custom start date, a week or so before the deadline day, then took charge of the club noted and went forward to see if take part in deadline day was offered.

Green means yes, red means no. If anyone thinks I'm wrong then let me know. Happy to amend.

Hope that helps some. Even with the custom database this took some time so forgive me, won't be doing all the other countries!

May be for first division only and I can't work out from your message if you've had a transfer deadline Day while in the top division. If you haven't maybe give it time.

I've seen a few comments in some threads that it is something that can be changed in the advanced options of the pregame editor.

But no explanation as to how to do it. Be interested to see if this is actually possible.

2. have SI confirmed whether this is static for a save or it can change (for build a nation saves)
