  1. Update to those who were unable to download it through steam: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qyghyy3emzw34oc/American Premier League Version 1.0.fmf?dl=0 Copy to your editor_data folder.
  2. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1565774567 This is a playable American Premier League file that replaces MLS and all its Byzantine rules and regulations with 4 Leagues and also 2 cup competitions American Premier League 24 teams playing a 34 game season, one game against each other team in the league (23 games), and then splits into a Top 12 group and Bottom 12 group, where you play against each other team in your group once more (for a 34 game total schedule). 3 Down to the.. American First Division 20 teams, 3 up to the American Premier League, 3 down to the.. American Second Division 20 Teams, 3 up to the Americna first division. American Academy challenge: for 20 academy teams No promotion/relegation Cups: The American Open Cup Competed for by all 64 league teams. The US Super Cup featuring the American Premier League Champion versus the American Open Cup Champion Reserve/Youth Competitions. I've run several tests and it looks to be running fine. There are a home grown players rule but it should be minimal enough that it shouldn't be a huge issue. Let me know if you're running into any issues.
  3. Just to follow up on this, I had the same issue, and I disconnected and reconnected the controller and it worked fine. I couldn't find an option to disable the controller in steam big picture
  4. There is also this one over on FMScout/Steam Workshop): (edit: I should make it clear that I'm the creator of the project :D)) http://www.fmscout.com/a-american-fantasy-premier-league-fm17.html A 22 Team American Premier League, featuring all 22 MLS teams playing in 2017. (Los Angeles FC and Miami FC are not in this release as APL Teams, as there is not enough info going forward to make them)A 22 team American First Division.A 20 Team American League TwoMoney is reasonable (prize money, and TV money in the higher division, but mostly game based money and crowd money in the lower leagues), and there are foreign player limits in all divisions.
  5. Not 100% sure this belongs here, or in the Bugs forum. When I was creating my American Premier League mod, I tested it and everything seemed to work well, so I went ahead and published it. However, a user contacted me and pointed out that under certain circumstances, the game would not generate fixtures for season two and beyond. I was able to fix the issue, but the problem was, I could not figure out how to update the mod on Steam to fix this error, everything I tried (saving it, save as, etcetera) did not work, the publish to steam workshop button was greyed out. I ended up having to mark the mod deprecated on Steam and hiding it, and having to upload the new mod seperately (losing the audience I had already built up.) Is there any way to update mods when errors are found or updates are needed?
  6. Wkdsoul: Cool. Let me know and I'll update everything, and of course credit you. (I'm working a couple things myself)
  7. Link: http://s000.tinyupload.com/index.php?file_id=92098750495037537884 Also available on Steam Workshop: Description: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=554739585 This is a first release of the American Premier League file. This is designed to allow folks to play American teams without the salary cap management and general pain that MLS rules create. Sixty Four teams are in this first release: 20 MLS teams in the American Premier League (B teams not allowed) 20 NASL/USL teams in the American Championship 24 NASL/USL teams (including B teams) in the American Challenge Division. Prize Money and TV money in the top two leagues, life in the Challenge Division offers limited prize money and results based money (more if you win, but a little bit even if you lose). Also included is a 64 team US Open Cup, featuring all 64 league teams. This file will be updated with changes (I hope to add a fourth division, and expand the Cup competition.) Comments and suggestions are always encouraged.
  8. same thing with the three goalies on the roster, and fixing that removed the message (NHL)
  9. Bring Back Continue Game Timeout, please. Also, when you are at the screen and hit submit team when you have players that need to be assigned a bumber, it would be good to have something popping up that says "You need to assign one or more players a number to continue"
  10. 4shared and other such sites try to trick you into downloading their adware to get files, there will be a link on the page. Otherwise, get it from steam.
  11. Final Release Notes for the APL Mod: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=352227448 Non-Steam Link (Note: File is still FMF) http://www.4shared.com/file/S2KdRv5mce/American_Premier_League_10_Ful.html This is a "Fantasy America" mod that replaces the byzantine and complicated MLS contract setup with a more "standard", 3 league, 64 team system with promotion and relegation. 20 Team Premier League. Due to ongoing health issues, I'm not sure if I can work on this further, so I decided to get this out for everyone to enjoy
  12. So, Version 0.2 is undergoing final testing now, will be hopefully released on time (work was delayed somewhat by some ongoing health issues I'm having). Any one playing this, and have suggestions?

  14. (I'm testing the 0.1.5 version now, which will add: Squad Size Limits (30 for the top two divisions, 25 for challenge division) and max foreign player limits (20/15/10) to keep it from being an all-foreigners league). 0.1 has been tested several 10+ year sims
  15. I tried something for FM13 where I divided England into 10 regional leagues, where the top two teams in each league entered a "second stage" which would decide the national champions and the UEFA qualifying spots. This did not work as intended, as the UEFA spots were being allocated based on performance in the regional leagues (points) not the national leagues. Is it possible for such a setup in FM14, and if so, how would I do it....
