  1. Could be on for a record here. Last three matches have been double figure scorelines. I know their teams aren't the best.

    I'm using the 5.4.1 FireAndWater 4321 as my base. I'm still trying to find good tweaks for consistent away performances.

    Currently playing with match to match small tweaks like cross type, work into box, switching player positions. As a few posts have eluded to it may be hard to switch entire formations between home/away due to cohesion.

    Also OIs, playing with these, too. I'm Man Utd and England so I'll be quitting both and taking jobs at smaller clubs to really understand what does and doesn't work.

    As a pointer this tactic in another save has got Sheff Utd to 2nd place first and second season. 2nd season was by goal difference to Liverpool (91pts). Lys Mousset was deadly.

    this one has less PIs

    this is the most updated version...both work great, i'm currently using the first one.

    please do try other tactics from Knap though, with correct players and situation, you'll get good results...this tactic feels more universal as i've tried it with top teams and poor teams

    @RDF Tactics

    I've noticed that the right and left backs don't have the same PIs. Any reason for that?

    Left back has sit narrower and RB doesn't. Just want to know if it's an oversight.

    I used the Float cross version you were playing with a while back and came second with Sheff Utd first season and then came second again in the second season on GD with 91 pts to Liverpool!

    Is float crosses best for lesser teams/when crossing is not a strong stat for your wingers wing backs?

    Final question, for "hard" away games, or just away games in general, do you still adjust width, get stuck in, switch to cautious, lower DL? All depending on opposition?

    Amazing work!

    I followed your thread when you use the 4-1-3-1-1 Tequila Sunrise formation and noted with interest your tweaks for away games, home games, hard, easy etc. Mainly involving tight marking, get stuck in, width and d-line.

    I used that to good effect with Milan. I am now using Fire and Water in my third season and wanted to know how you approach the big away game with this tactic.

    I've implemented a similar approach but I've noticed the tempo is much higher in F@W, as well as width etc.

    any further points for getting the best out of away games against tough teams?
