1. @Neil Brock In the past, Sports Interactive gave access to the latest Beta as I have previously had access to it for FM2013-15. I noticed with the introduction of FM2016 and now with FM2017 the only access to the beta is to purchase the game and gain access a few weeks earlier (sort of like NBA 2k17 Prelude). Will there be a way to gain access to the FM2017 Beta outside of purchasing the final product, similar to the FM2013-15 program? Regards
2. It has been a long time since I played FM2015 and I know 2016 is due soon, however I have a question regarding starting a new career in which I start as an unemployed manager and therefore did the go on holiday and I'm at the stage in which I'm interviewing and have been looking at doing a Youth to Gold method mentioned on the FM Stories website. The board has set these philosophies and would love to create a system based on this going forward is there any guides, advice or suggestions on how to go about creating a tactic on the following; I would in future look to change to suit the organisation I'm managing. Regards
3. Expanded Depth Charts Instead of just have the top 3 players per position, have the entire roster (First Team, Reserves and Youth Teams) showing and depending on your chosen formation would recommend the best players to keep as First Team, Reserves and Youth Team squads. Staff Roles and Duties The best way to understand this is to look at my post (this is linked in my signature) and vote (with explanation your decision) it would work similar to the Player Roles and Duties already implemented in which certain attributes are highlighted, and to add onto this I have seen people suggest training courses this way you can mold staff to learn/improve the specific attributes depending on the role and duties they have in your club. Movement Arrows When creating tactics (whether 'classic' or 'wizard') you should be able to include movement arrows, under the old tactic method you had the yellow arrows for runs with ball (Never, Sometimes, Always) but if you want certain positions to operate whether it be Normal (no arrow), Outside, Inside, Backwards, Channels, Forwards these arrows should be a different color than the yellow used for runs with ball and can be shown on the wizard also. Team Rating per Attributes Currently you have General, All Positions, Goalkeepers, Defenders, Midfielders, Attackers this helps when you need to recruit you can see where you are lacking and recruit in those areas, however some of the attributes don't match the player attributes word for word and with no guide that tells us what player attributes match Leadership as an example can we get either a help guide for these or have the team attributes match the player attributes so we can recruit good leaders by searching leadership. 4. True it doesn't need coding, however with the player roles and duties when you select a specific role and duties the attributes are highlighted, so you know what to look for when searching for a player. So by expanding this for staff would be useful however if SI don't want to code this feature in then they should produce a guide/hints and tips that would advise what to look for if you are after a specific staff member. 6. @furiousuk, The reason what I referred to it as a 4-4-2 theory was when you look at the crib sheet it really only covers the positions in a 4-4-2; Goalkeepers (GK) Wide-Defenders (DL/R a.k.a. FB) Central Defenders (DC) Wide-Midfielders (ML/R) Central Midfielders (MCd, MCa) Strikers (FCd, FCa) When reading the guide they do explain MCd and MCa however never explains what to do if the central midfield contains 1, 3, 4, 5, etc. in the midfield; they also cover the FCd, FCa and they actually talk about what to do when the strikers contain 1, 3, and 4 up front. What I'm really want to do was to use the 4-4-2 theory in the crib sheet and apply it to formations/positions that fall outside these positions; Wide-Sweepers (SWL/R) Sweepers (SW) Wide-Defensive Midfielders (WBL/R) Defensive Midfielders (DMC) - I know this is the MCd however what do you do if you have MC's as well. Attcking Midfielders (AMC) - I know this is the MCa however what do you do if you have MC's as well, and you have the numbers up front for FCd and FCa. Wide-Attacking Midfielders (AML/R) Wide-Strikers (STL/R) - When using FM Genie Scout '12 this appears in the '4-2-4 Attacking' formation. If you would like to see some examples of some FM Genie Scout formations that contain these positions listed above, please let me know. 7. I posted this as post #1641 in which I still use the old TT&F '09 by FM-Britain and it appears to have been overlooked I hoping someone can advise on how I should us the crib sheet information which was based off of a 4-4-2 (DC, FB, MCd, MCa, ML/R, FCd and FCa) they do explain groups of 3 for the forwards, however they don't for midfielders and defenders. Can someone who used the TT&F '09 Material explain a basic setup/advice for groups of 3 for; Defenders (DC) 3x Central Defenders, or 2x Central Defenders w/ 1x Sweeper Midfielders (MCd, MCa) 3x Central Midfielders, 2x Central Midfielders w/ 1x Defensive Midfielder, 2x Central Midfielders w/ 1x Attacking Midfielder, 1x Central Midfielder w/ 2x Defensive Midfielders, 1x Central Midfielder w/ 2x Attacking Midfielders, 1x Central Midfielder w/ 1x Defensive Midfeilder and 1x Attacking Midfeilder Outside of these the TT&F doesn't explain these positions such as Wing Backs and Attacking Wingers can these be explained also in relation to how they fit into the 4-4-2 theory used by FM-Britain. 9. nick1408, I tested something in FM just to see what would happen to Melbourne Victory over a long period of time (2011-2028) here are some screens I did from Genie Scout; 2011 2028 During this time the clubs reputation decline and with this the league also declined from a rating of 5th for the Hyundai A-League/6th for the Finals Series to 18th for the Hyundai A-League/19th for the Final Series, also during this time the board changed hands only three times (1x takeover and 1x promotion within) and the facilities had downgraded during this time. It took the club a total of 16 years before they had the funds to upgrade the facilities and all it did was return them to the same 2010 standard, but the quality of the youth recruitment had improved. In relation to parent and feeder clubs all of the clubs Melbourne Victory had on their books were feeders and these consisted on 1x Australian club, 1x New Zealand club (I activated the ANZSCO Agreement), 1x English club and 1x Brazilian club, yet they never recruited from the English, New Zealand and Brazilian clubs so they were wasting funds with yearly fees (can't tell if they recruited from the Australian club or not). Back to your recruiting a decent feeder this could be a reason why as SI might have done something to Australia to stop it from improving and obtaining better club ties. Hopefully in the future editions of FM, SI change the way Australia operates so the country improves rather than standing still and falling in the competition ratings so playing just within Australia is a useful exercise. On a side note with the ANZSCO Agreement activated New Zealand (despite not be activated during this time, but with Genie Scout) I can confirm that some of the Semi Professional and Amateur clubs were as good as some of the poor professional sides within Australia this proves that SI have done something to the Australia setup that prevents us improving over time.
Regards --- To vote and provide feedback on my general discussion topic to introduce Staff Roles and Duties into FM Series please click on my provided link to do so http://bit.ly/u8WoDS
10. Before anyone says anything I understand the problem the FM-Britain crew have had with SI a few years back, however the website/forum still have some activity I hope someone can assist with this which I actually posted in their forum; Link: http://forums.fm-britain.co.uk/topic/8514-ttf-framework-questions/page__pid__153016#entry153016 Regards --- To vote and provide feedback on my general discussion topic to introduce Staff Roles and Duties into FM Series please click on my provided link to do so http://bit.ly/u8WoDS
11. I have never had a club cancel construction project/s before, so I'm uncertain what will happen once more funds are available whether the projects will start again or whether you need to reactivate them. You may need to speak with someone with a little more experience when this occurs or maybe someone from SI who knows the coding behind the infrastructure upgrades. Hopefully once you get additional funds the projects continue from where they left off. Update #1 I was searching for something on Google regarding the cancellation of facility upgrades and I came across an article on the FMFormation website about someone who has taken a side from the lowest english division to the premiership in 6 years and I believe in his story it all relates to excess funds the club is willing to spend. When the side announced the facility upgrade they will advise on the total cost of the upgrade now in his case with the League, Lower Divisional Cups, National Cups and European Cups he is earning large prize money every year so they is always extra funds that gets spent every couple of years for upgrades/expansion. In relation to the Hyundai A-League there isn't a lot of prize money so you would have to rely on the winnings from the Asian Champions League and potential FIFA Club World Cup, because of the low prize money in the Hyundai A-League this could also explain why the reputation doesn't increase as no one expands/grows their club as they don't want to go into debt. If you somehow get a sugar daddy chairman then you might get the upgrades you are after however I don't see a lot of clubs changing hands in the A-League. 12. The competition star rating looks like it hasn't increased in the 3 years, this could be the main reason as trying to get a feeder club if their competition reputation is better than ours will be a stumbling block. Now in FM11 Melbourne Victory is a National Club in FM12 did Melbourne Victory start as a National and you increased it to Continental or did they start as a Continental Club? If they haven't increased this to can be a stumbling block. Far call regarding not wanting to use a 3rd party product (Free Version contains advertising) I only use it when I first take over a club to work out the clubs best formation is, the rest is all me. Hopefully the Board allows the increased infrastructure (Training, Youth and Acadamy) as this might get the competiton and reputation to increase. All the best and can't wait for your next major update. 13. I think the following help in working out why the board can't find a feeder club; What is the star rating of the Hyundai A-League (Regular Season) and the Hyundai Final Series? What is the Clubs Reputation? What is the Boards Reputation? If any of these are low then this could be the reason behind the board coming back with nothing, you may need FM Genie Scout 12 if you can't work out the Boards Reputation. The only other option would be to look for a new position with a higher reputation club since you are not getting what you want. This might be a stupid question however does FM12 let you choose your own feeder/parent clubs? 14. Nick1408, I'm unsure where I read this (it was a FM fan site though) however you would want to find a feeder club that has better training facilities. If you are using a 3rd party program like Genie Scout (free version is fine for your purpose) you will get this report, don't worry about the Finances & Kit and Tactics as this is no importance; In this case; For senior players the club must have training facilities better than "Good (13)" For youth players the club must have training facilities better than "Average (10)" This way you know the quality of the training will be more effective than yours and then when the player returns they should be in better shape than when they left. If you are not using Genie Scout then only go into an agreement with a club that has the same description or better than your current setup. In relation to the work permit conundrum, I believe that you would want to look at the Agreements in the editor or through the game itself as Australia doesn't appear to have a working relationship in the game like the EU, EEA or Cotonou Agreements. In this case you might need to look into other methods of research regarding Treaties of Australia whether these bypass work permit laws I'm unsure about, if you do find something then get SI to add them into the game, but I do know that last time I looked at Australia as a profile when it comes to languages they have us as 100% English speaking, but if you go to the Bureau of Statistics website you can find out what the percentage of English speaking is around 80% with the remaining 20% being Greek, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Chinese, Vietnamese, etc. However I hope the finding a feeder club useful. I just found this on the Australian Immigration website; Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations (ANZSCO) ANZSCO is a system developed to collect, publish and analyse occupation statistics across government agencies, and is being introduced by the department as the new standard to capture occupation information in all visa, settlement and citizenship programs. ANZSCO will also be used within skilled visa programs, where it is a requirement for visa eligibility, as the standard by which a visa applicant's skills to undertake a specific occupation in Australia are assessed. This agreement has a classification field for "Footballers", it was previously known as Australian Standard Classification of Occupation (ASCO) this agreement allows Australian/New Zealand Citizens (hense the name change) to work in each others country without the need of a Work Permit approval (however they are still classified as an international/visa player). 15. You are correct that your current staff can do all of these suggested roles, however the reason this was suggested is in a way the same theory behind the creation of player roles and duties, the above in the opening post were suggestions by the late SFraser on how he played the game, but he never quoted the attributes he used for each type of person. However when you play the game do you rely of a specific staff member for your scouting reports and physio reports (everyone makes suggestions, but you only take the word of a specific staff member)? If you do then he is your head scout/physio. In relation to the creation it is an extra layer to the game however if they are making this game a simulation then the evolution of staff would be to create these as if you are involved in actual football then you do recruit heads of the X department and that person would make suggestions regarding the hiring and firing of people doing/not doing their jobs.
