I don't know how I missed that but in the game release clause of Ozan Kabak set as expiring in 31/7/2021. This is not right. The release clause will only be valid after 2020/21 season according to reports.  Transfermarkt, bulinews, sportbild

 

 

I'd also like to thank you for considering all messages, suggessions and discussions during beta period. We clearly see the improvement in the full release. Great work in such a limited period. The number of players you've newly created is also worth mentioning.

I wish SI implements a platform where everyone or selected large group of people can contribute, comment or make suggestions for all database in an organized way before you start working on database or even during the game, without any commitment. This would be quite helpful especially where the number of researchers are very limited like Germany as it is impossible to know every detail of each player, especially in lower leagues. As being assistant researcher sounds like serious commitment, a system working similar to this topic but in a organized and simpler way would make the research process much easier. Life is today so much simple with crowdsourcing.

Once again (I do hate repeating myself) you need to look at current ability as well and especially age. It's all based off of variables and calculations which I don't need to go over. A higher PA for De Ligt is logical compared to Upemaceno.  Current CA, age are main factors. I still firmly believe De LIgt can be the best defender in the world, but the Italian HRs have given him a set PA. He was still a minus potential when he left my DB.

A striker that is over the hill can have a higher PA than Lewandowski, it doesn't matter as he won't accomplish this anymore.  There's not even much impact to it either, although I believe there is something that might trigger towards a non-player career but this is also over my head. I'm not hear to discuss game mechanics - I'm here to check data issues and do something about it if I (or we) believe it's wrong and this is not the case. So it's a waste of everyone's time to keep going over this. So now really we need to move forward.

Fair enough, thanks for the explanation. Please don't get me wrong, my point is not entirely Upamecano vs De Ligt. I can show more cases where players in Italy or some other countries have inflated PA compared to Germany. But I agree this is not something to focus on now but it's better to keep in mind in the future of the research. I honestly think your perception of potential is much better then other researchers though. Their ratings seem a bit inflated to me.

I still believe Ozan Kabak needs a higher PA rating but I can accept you are OK with 150. Let's keep moving forward with more obvious issues.

 De Ligt is much younger than Dayot and is currently better on top of that - so he has a higher PA curve. This is simple maths.

I never mentioned Ozan Kabak as overrated if you read my messages again. I only suggested some changes in his current attribute distribution.

I offered overall downgrade to Schalke player but I specifically mentioned Ozan Kabak to have high potential. All the downgrade suggestions were purely on their attributes in the game, without comparing any other leagues or players. Comparing with other leagues changed my perspective a bit, since I see some cases that show players in Germany have lower rating than similar players in other countries. 

Complaining potential attributes, I simply say there are not 105 U23 central defenders in the world who deserve and is percieved with better potential than Ozan Kabak. Simple maths. Pointing out Upamecano is to support my overall opinion on potentials being lower. This is just something you might want to consider sometime. 

Please note that I am just stating the issues I see as problematic and my suggestions accordingly. It is up to you to consider but I am now having the feeling that you've got a bit frustrated with this topic being so active.

Just have been able to check potential abilities and will comment better by comparing with other players.

There are 105 central defenders under age of 23 with PA more than 151. Ozan Kabak is counted as one of most promising defenders in the world according to every article I see and my observations, so having 105 players with better potential seems a bit incorrect to me. 

In my opinion, attribute valuations of Germany is a bit conservative compared to other leagues in overall, especially in potential. For example, expectations from Upamecano (PA 172) is not so much below Matthijs De Ligt (PA 185) in real life. This is perhaps the most difficult part of researching, creating the similar standart for different research teams but I still wanted to point it out.

Most of the issues with staff are already mentioned, so I'll keep my focus on player attributes.

I believe a downgrade to Schalke 04 players will be appropriate to reflect the current conditions. I could not check the hidden attributes but most players can get a decrease in consistency and important matches. I'll write my opinions on most of the first team players but it's up to you to decide. You know better how these attributes can effect the game. It will be hard to present statistical or visual evidences to back me up but I'll highlight the critical explanations in bold, and most critical players underlined.

• Ahmed Kutucu: He did not meet the expectations yet, so a downgrade to both his current and potential abilities would be appropriate.

• Bastian Oczipka: He played several games as central defender last season, not so promising but you can increase DC rating to competent or at least unconvincing. He almost never playes as AML, so you can decrease AML rating. Also he is now 31 and can be downgraded physically and upgrade mentally.

Corners (+1), Crossing (-2), Tackling (+2), Determination (+2), Leadership (+3), Positioning (+2), Pace (-2), Strength (-1)

• Benito Raman: His natural position should be AML, so it would be better switching ratings of right and left. His ST rating should be decreased as well. His performance on the other hand is pretty inconsistent, so I will suggest the critical ones.

Acceleration (-2), Pace (-1), Passing (+2), Vision (+2)

• Benjamin Stambouli: He does not get much minutes and his main duty is to be leader to the team. Could be downgraded technically a bit, he is not an elite defender now.

Tacking (-2), Dribbling (-2), Leadership (+4), Strength (-1), Stamina (-2)

• Mark Uth: He started pretty convincing and his last season on loan was not bad either. His role is more like second striker, or deep lying forward and he is pretty good. He never plays on right or left, so decreasing his winger ratings might be good. His passing and vision could be upgraded.

Finishing (-2), Passing (+2), Off the Ball (-2), Vision (+2), Decisions (+1), Anticipation (+1), Acceleration (-1), Pace (-1), Strength (+2)

• Matija Nastasic: He does not perform for a while, so we might expect a downgrade, especially in mental.

• Nabil Bentaleb: He is performing pretty bad for a while. Techical atributes are generally fine but mental attributes needs downgrade.

• Omar Mascarell: He is the captain and leader of the team and one of good performers.

• Ozan Kabak: I am not sure his potential ability but should be pretty high. He is good, young and always a transfer target of big teams (esp. Liverpool). He is good as ball playing defender, so the attributes should reflect that. He is better in attacking moves rather then defending and also talented in front of goal and heading. He tries successful long passes and dribbles.

• Rabbi Matondo: Another inconsistent player but his attributes are very low compared to his talent.

• Salif Sané: Our best performing defender with leader character. Rather a solid defender instead of ball player. Fifth player last season in aerial challenges won. He should be upgraded mentally.

Dribbling (-2), Heading (+3), Technique (-2), Bravery (+1), Decisions (+2), Determination (+3), Leadership (+6), Positioning (+2), Work Rate (+3), Pace (-2)

• Steven Skryzbski: He did not have much time to evaluate completely but his mental attributes are very high in the game. Can be downgraded.

Aggression (-4), Determination (-4), Flair (-2), Off the Ball (-2), Work Rate (-2)

• Suat Serdar: He suffers from injuries a lot, this should be reflected. However, he is one of the best players around the team and well reflected in the game. Some minor improvements may be needed. He scored most of our goals last season and should be better as attacker. He is not a pacey player as reflected in the game.

I appreciate your work and effort. It's not an easy task and I know you all are doing your best.

On the other hand, I couldn't stop myself from extending the analysis to whole division  

According to my study, only %45 of the selected players have been revised and positioning distorts the results a bit. If we exclude positioning changes, the figure will be much lower. By only including players with age of 21 or older to eliminate possible random attribute allocations, the reliability of the outcome seemed pretty high to me.

I enjoyed doing this and will try to update with full release. I am sure the outcome will be much better and well distributed among teams (see Dortmund and Hertha). I hope you can spend some time on young players as well.

If I can spare more time, I'll try to look players individually to make suggessions.

I hate to say this but I am really disappointed with overall quality of the job in FM21.

The table below shows some of Schalke players in FM21 compared to 20.4 database in FM20. I am sorry but it is unacceptable not seeing a single change in attributes and I suspect this is the case for most of the players in Germany. Young players on the other hand assigned completely random I guess in both games since their attributes are totally different. 

It just won't work pointing every single player out here and telling what their attributes should be.

• I would suggest an upgrade to Bozdogan's stamina which I believe very low for a fit Bundesliga player which started playing regularly. Other attributes seem fair to me.
• Thiaw's current attributes seem fair but his potential might be a bit higher.

Edited: I suppose most of the attributes are not given for these players since what I see is very different from @Super Saiyajin Karn3ol.

• Oczipka played several games as central defender last season, I don't know his current DC rating but unconvincingly prefer playing left of three-man grouping might be a relevant addition. Also Schalke plays with three defender most of the time with Nastasic on the left and Kabak on the right. These kind of playing preference might be added to these players.
• Weston McKennie starts the game with fixed deal with Juventus but it's not the case. Juventus have option to buy and obliged to activate this option if player is involved in 60 percent of the games.

I've been spending some time on fantasy draft to make it better serve our needs as it offers seriously limited choices currently.

 

So far I've managed to:

✔️ Change overall color scheme.

✔️ Revamp pick screen which now includes custom view options to add all available information. (See image)

✔️ Increase squad budget limit options.

✔️ Increase options in number of matches between two teams.

 

I've failed to change the items below, and will appreciate any contribution.

❌ Adding Create Fantasy Draft option to the game menu. (See image)

I've added codes below to \menus\game.xml. It is shown in the list but does nothing when clicked. "nFdG" information is retrieved from intro panel.xml

I really enjoy playing fantasy draft mode with my friends but it would enjoy more with some tweaks. 

I managed to increase squad budget limit in FM19, not tried in 20 but probably it will be similar. Now I want to take a step further on such tweaks but have no idea how they can be made:

• Creating new AI managers or editing the existing ones, including their preferences etc.
• Having more options on custom pool (Such as French Players based in England). Now it only works as OR operator, but instead I want to add AND operator like in player search.

Is there any chance to make those changes via panels or anything else?
