  1. 5 subs from 12 in 3 stoppages + 1 in extra time was the only one I set for each of the competitions.
  2. Hi again. I'm creating a set of Continental club competitions and in advanced rules and am getting the below message pop up when I try testing the rules. Not quite sure what this means, but a quick Google had someone asking the same thing and were given the answer of changing a setting to Custom Competition, though it didn't specify what setting that was. So a - is this how you fix it, and b - which setting would this be? (c - if it's not, how to you stop it?) Thanks for reading.
  3. Hi all, I am currently creating a big dumb database where the worlds Champions League's are replaced by 339 tournaments (one for each Olympic event) and came across an issue. That issue has since been sorted (thank you @rusty217), but before that happened, in a vain attempt to sort the issue, I rejigged the English football pyramid to try and suit the 339 tournament database. It's seems a bit of a waste to just leave it dormant, so if you fancy a weird database to play, feel free to give this a go. The league is split into 9 tiers. Tier 1 20 Divisions of 3 with teams playing each other 8 times. The top team in each group go through to a Championship Round - 2 groups of 10, play each other once, top 2 in each group play the Semi-Finals. 2nd in each group go to 10 play-off groups of 2, where you play each other four times. Losers of these play-offs go to 5 play-off groups of 2 (these play-offs were supposed to provide qualification to a continental competition, now they just give teams something to do after Christmas). Bottom in each group is relegated to Tier 2 and basically has no second half of the season unless still in a cup competition. Tier 2 & 3 Same as above but the top teams also get promoted. Tier 4 Same as above, but with the 10 play-off groups of 2, it is the winners that go through to the 5 further play-off groups. Tier 5 & 6 Same as Tiers 1-4 but no 2nd place play-off groups. Tier 7 20 groups of 20, top team in each group is promoted to Tier 6. Bottom 3 relegated to Tier 8. Tier 8 Same as Tier 7 but 3 teams promoted from each group & bottom 2 teams relegated. Tier 9 20 groups of 10, top 2 teams promoted from each group. Featured 151 Under 18 teams. Cups FA Cup - Tiers 1 & 2 only Carabao Cup - Tiers 3 & 4 only Bristol Street Motors Cup - Tiers 5 & 6 only olympiceng.fmf
  4. It seems to be working! I tested it for a couple of seasons on the game and everything was running correctly. HOORAY! Thank you so much for your help. Now to try and do the big scenario!
  5. Yeah no problem. I've probably screwed something up haha. Sometimes it says 4 teams found on the pop up and every now and then it says 5 teams, which is weird? testy.fmf
  6. I did, but it didn't seem to help. Did you save what you did to the test file I put on here? If yes, would it be cool to pop it on here too and I'll see if I've missed anything?
  7. I'm still getting that the test Europa League is missing 2 teams? Would I be right in thinking that was to do with there being not enough teams from England in 2024?
  8. Thank you for that. I'll have a tinker when I get from work and hopefully I can crack on with my big dumb plan haha.
  9. I switched to advanced for it and basically copied how you did your Coupe de Napoleon when you posted it. Though I am still struggling with getting different teams in the other tournament. I'm running a test European set of tournaments using the Champions League & Europa League where the Champions League has a 90 team group stage (just to test if we get the 1st & 2nd tier teams) for England, Germany & Spain which seems to be working fine, and the Europa League which is a 6 team tournament using the next 2 2nd Tier sides in each country (just to test if that works). I've tried Sort Teams by Division (ascending) on both the Qualified Teams section and then tried on the Stage => Teams section, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm probably picking the wrong Sort By section, but would you be happy to check the file (have attached)? testy.fmf
  10. This is going to seem like an obvious question, but how would one do this? I've look but I can't see which would be the way to do it? Also, how do you make it show under the Continents competitions and not the countries? Apologies for all the questions!
  11. Ah awesome! I'll give it a go, fingers crossed.
  12. While this is also useful, I did mean multiple Continental Competitions. So, as an example, if I was to setup a Champions League and a Europa League doing this, would different clubs be picked for each or would I need to specify the league positions for the ones I need in each?
  13. Thank you for this. If I set up multiple competitions will it still bring up different clubs for each one via this method or would I need to set them finishing in a specific position in the league?
  14. I'm making 339 custom continental competitions haha. Basically one for every Olympic event, using teams from each country that made the final (for race events) or tournament (knockout events). I couldn't work out how to add more than 20 teams per country so I started doing a weird convoluted way where I amend each countries system and so the winners of each tournament would qualify. For the more than 20 teams per country thing, I believe you said you can do it through Advanced on my previous post. What do you need to do for this as I am stumped (never really used advanced).
  15. I also would want the Continental competitions to recognize the winners of the new competitions, would you not only be able to do that by merging the files?
  16. I only merged the files because I am creating new competitions in both and from previous experience that screws up one of them when not merged as the IDs are duplicated.
  17. This has all been done on basic editor. I am currently running a project where I split the English leagues into 9 tiers, the final tier having 200 teams (49 normal, 151 Under-18 sides from the top tiers). When testing this on it's own, it works fine. The next thing I did was then change the US system also, merging the database files before setting anything new up in order for the English competitions to show on that one before I create any new tournaments for the US. Now when running a test (using both databases), the English leagues are now not showing due to the numbers not matches in Tier 9. I haven't amended any teams or divisions in England on this database, only USA & Canada. Does anyone know what's going on? The only thing I can think of is I moved the Welsh teams to Wales on the English database (the whole thing has a lot of teams qualifying for Continental competitions and I wanted them to take some of the available Welsh spots) but would have figured those changes would have carried over when merging the files?
  18. Thank you, I'll give that a go. I'm not sure though, as the US top tier has 29 teams, but it cut them off at 20.
  19. Hi all. I'm hoping a simple one for you here. I'm trying to put together a set of Continental Club competitions based on the Olympics (one competition for each event using the teams who played in the finals of the events). The first test, I ran 27-odd competitions, however it seemed to stop running teams for countries once the Top 20 clubs were used and instead replaced them with the same team over and over again (USA had 32 teams, England 22 and Russia 21 - Juventus ended up replacing them in like 7 tournaments). The main question is, is there a way of using more than 20 teams from 1 nation in Continental Club competitions?
