This trait can be trained in FM Touch but it seems not for all players. The available traits to train seem to depend on the player role.

Which staff members' scouting knowledge impact the scouting range? Only the Chief Scout's? Or Chief Scout and DoF (as suggested by their grouping under "Recruitment" in the staff search filter)? Or a combination of all staff members' scouting knowledge? Related question: does the scouting knowledge of the HoYD or of further staff members affect the Youth Intake? For instance, would it be disadvantageous (in view of youth intake) to have for an Italian side a French HoYD with only scouting knowledge in France? Or is it not a problem eg if other staff members (eg Chief Scout) have scouting knowledge in Italy?

Which staff members have an impact on the training of first team players? Only AM? Or AM, HoYD and myself (as suggested by their grouping under "Coaching" in the staff search filters)? Or do the coaching attributes of further staff members also impact training? Is a different set of staff members in charge of training Reserve or U21/U19 players? It would be very useful to know this to be able to select appropriate staff members. As training is quite different in Touch and PC versions, it could not find any info on this anywhere else. Perhaps to be addressed in a quick tip in game.

If, after having signed the new HoYD and the bug occured, I sign a new DoF, it get fixed. I guess again that this is because in the intermediate step in which the old DoF is sacked the new HoYD overwrites him as HoYD. Hence, when I said in my original post that the issue did not occur the first time I changed HoYD, it may be wrong as I did then also change the DoF, which may have fixed the bug without me noticing it. Therefore, as a workaround, IF we are anyway replacing the HoYD and the DoF, it seems that the DoF should be the last to be replaced. But, for example in the save I have uploaded, I may have no wish to change my DoF. It would be great if you already confirm that if I sign Fages as HoYD it is actually him who will be in charge of youth intake despite DoF Bakero being then named instead of him in the Development Centre. -
The following problem which I had already in FM23 Touch (Arcade) persists in FM24 Touch: When I hire a new HoYD, he gets mentioned as such in the Staff Tab but in the Development Centre Tab it is now the name of the DoF that is indicated as the one who provides the reports in this tab and is in charge of reserves training etc. I guess the problem is that when there is a change of HoYD, there is internally an intermediate step in which the former HoYD gets sacked and the DoF takes over his role in the absence of an HoYD. When the new is signed, there is a bug in that he does not overwrite the DoF's name in the fields relevant for the Development Centre. If it were only cosmetic I wouldn't bother too much, but I am not sure now how is now actually in charge of youth intake. Would be great if this could be clarified, before the bug is actually fixed (which I asssume will take some time). P.S. In my current save, I did not have this problem the first time I hired a new HoYD, only at the second change. Last year, I noticed the problem when changing assistance manager. Again it was the DoF would was indicated e.g. in emails that should have come from the AM.
