I would like to ask whether in your experience the state of regens in FM24 has improved compared with FM23. This would greatly help me decide whether or not to buy the game.
Before I elaborate, let me preface this by saying that I used GenieScout to check CA, PA, mental attributes and hidden attributes, current attributes and potential attributes of every single existing newgen. So please don't tell me things like
scout young players on national teams / improve scouting etc.
Messi wasn't just born as Messi
Now, as I like to create teams with a strong academy and a strong B team, finding good regens is absolutely crucial for my careers. They don't have to come straightly from the youth ranks, but they have to be somewhere in the world.
Since the situation was appalling, I did extensive testing on FM23 by using GenieScout. I've had three careers, 15 years each, followed personally.
Then I did three more careers, 20 years each, but on vacation (because I have a job and am not immortal)
For each career, the game generated, worldwide, an average of only two players (2) with:
PA 180+
Good personality
no bad mental trait/hidden trait (pressure, imp matches, consistency, low injury prone
no weird attribute spread and /or situational flaw (centre back with low jumping and/or bravery, midfielder with no passing and so on)
oddly, one of these two is always a striker.
Now, I know 180 is Mo Salah level CA, but
Salah is actually overrated
we are talking of 2 players over a span of 15-20 years in the whole game. Do you know the amount of Salah like players in Serie A in the 90s and the 2000s?
Plus, I know this has been a well known issue for a while. To me it's actually a first. In my experience:
FM11-12 too many good regens (high NYR, indulgent developement)
FM 14: seemed ok, but I didn't play long enough to draw conclusion
FM15 less good regens, but since we have lower NYR it was exactly what I expected
FM19, FM21. even less, but in an acceptable amount. The attribute spreads started to be alarming though
FM23 the lost pit of talent. Absymal mental traits, worse personality, impossibly low hidden stats. Attributes spreads like a fart. And low PA.
So, if you're using some Scouting Tools I really need to know the state of regen in FM24. I'd really appreciate your contribution.
And no, I don't want to resort using the editor I don't want to spend money on a game I'm not sure about, let alone spending on an optional.

I already wrote a wall of text but, all right, I'll sum it up My test were on FM23, the question is about F24 Are you using genie scout? In your experience are FM24 regen better compared to FM23 I find amusing for a Moderator to be off topic.
