I know a little about the advanced editor having experimented with it on previous versions of FM. I am expanding the Canadian Premier League for FM24 and the league stage works how I want it to. The playoff structure works too but the assignment of teams does not despite me having experimented with various rules. Simply put I am looking for the correct combination of draw and seeding rules for a playoff stage with rounds 0, 1, 2 such that: round 0: 3rd vs 6th, 4th vs 5th round 1: 1st vs 4/5, 2nd vs 3/6 round 2: final Thanks for any help offered

The main difference I'm aware of is that if they're a "separate" club in the DB with just a reserve affiliation, the user can choose them to manage, but if they're created through their parent team, they're greyed out and managed through the parent club's overall structure.
