  1. Or perhaps the game shouldn't have been released with such a bug, especially given it hasn't been present in previous FMs? Not to mention it was first reported during EA.
  2. Yes, because they haven't bothered to fix it in the latest patch. Given this relates directly to the database, which is the fundamental aspect of the game, it should've been a priority...
  3. Yeah this is bad enough, but I haven't worked out yet if the regens are only taking the UIDs of players that have retired without history retention or not. And if not, how does that impact, say, Manuel Neuer when he retires and a regen gets his ID? How does the game keep his stats/history and will the regen have elements of the old player in their bio? Someone has reported a bug whereby one of their regens declared for a NT that isn't in their nationalities, is it possible the regen declared for a nation that belonged to the previous player that had the UID? Idk, but it all sounds borked to me...
  4. They really need to fix regens assuming UIDs of pre-existing players in the database. I've abandoned my season-long save - which I had the intention of keeping up for a while - because I just can't trust that this isn't going to completely screw the database. Pretty shocking oversight.
  5. I wonder if this has anything to do with ID sharing. Is this youth player a regen by any chance? There seems to be a bug at the moment whereby regens are sometimes assigned the same ID as players that already exist in the DB: I wonder if it's possible that the regen is basing his NT choice off of the nationality of a player he shares an ID with.
  6. I wonder if they're recycling IDs to reduce db size and improve processing speed between days. Nevertheless, this has the potential to be a pretty nasty bug and worst of all, any pre-existing saves will likely need to be restarted once a fix is finally rolled out. Almost feels like it isn't worth investing time into a proper manager career, which is a travesty for a 'fully released' game...
  7. How do the implications of this bug extend beyond player pictures? If regens assume IDs of players that are still active in a save, how do the two players remain separate entities? It's bad enough seeing player faces assigned to regens, but I'm concerned how this will effect the stability of a mid to long-term save. From where I'm standing, this has the potential to be an incredibly game-breaking bug and should be at the top of the priority list, yet it has been entirely glossed over in SI's most recent apology: .
