  1. I've played Championship manager/Football manager since before the millenium. I skipped FM23 and was pretty happy about it. I think FM24 is the best stage the game has ever been. I'm looking forward to FM25. However, there's one thing that have bugged me immensely with FM24. It seems to me, that it's easier than it has ever been before. It seems to me, that I can basically get away with everything, as long as there's good familiarity with the tactics and my popularity. If that's so, I do get that you want new players to get in, but on the flipside, that can also mitigate against player retention. You've been vocal about, wanting to get as close to the real manager experience, but still streamline it enough so everyone can get aboard. I think FM is currently a tad too arcadic. It's not fun particular for me, to hit a certain threshold with any team, and then it's a guarantee a cruise from there on, no matter what I do. It feels like that right now and it makes it harder for me to get back, because it doesn't feel like an achievement and the authenticity is diminished. I suggest if you both want to reach wider, while still maintaining to be an authentic simulator (you're still a niche afterall), is perhaps to make two modes. One is the Football manager experience that is more streamlined, and another mode that emphasis even harder on the authenticity and realism aspect. That way you can have your cake and eat it too. Maybe have toggles so you can have it streamlined, but also sprinkle it with a more gritty nature? Anyway, I think FM24 on one hand, is the best version of Football Manager ever... but ironically, it's also the hardest one for me to get back to, because of the reasons above.
  2. I know this is a huge undertaking. This is more of a novelty, but I do think it expanse the replay ability of FM immensely, and you’ve had some of the most loyal fans and costumers throughout time, whether a version has been lackluster in features or game changing, year after year people purchase the newest edition. I’m happy as a costumer, that I’ve been playing your games since the other side of the millennial. I’m really content by the fact, that you’ve stayed the same, you haven’t indulged in the present times egregious business practices, and when you’re not satisfied with the content like in FM23 and you’re transparent about it, it’s a relief to experience. I often fantasies well, what about a gamemode where you start at the inception of Championship Manager? What about instead of newgens, it’s actually real players that emerges. And you experience how the game changes over the span of the years. Changes to substitutes, inflation, price-pool, substitutes, the increasing influence of agents, changes in style of play and tactics, the introduction of VAR, Brexit all these things that impact the game throughout time. Maybe have some sort of a slider, whereas when players retire, they would most likely follow their career path as a manager. Ofc. based on probability and circumstances, but perhaps the slider would indicate that it really tries to make it occur, and on the other specter of the slider, to make it completely random. I personally think that would be absolutely amazing. I don’t know how lean or how you distribute ressources in your dev team… but if it’s a subject that’s too much to chew upon, perhaps you can at least give modders more tools to undergo something like this. I’m sure there’s a modder out there, that would take the opportunity if it’s there and work meticulously at it. Perhaps get in contact with said modder, and integrate it into the game at a later version? Personally I would love something like this, and I’m almost sure it would be well received. I wish you luck on the transition to a new engine in FM24! Hopefully the game will be better as a result. Honestly I don’t care on how it looks, I just want the engine to be as intricate as possible. And it could be nice to see the stadiums transforms in various ways, when you expand the stadium, and perhaps get real stadiums in the game. I once had a player getting cancer, I think it was back in 2013 or something. Never seen it since. I’m always amazed when you find extremely low probabilities no matter how absurd it is. It means you care about the product. Well, enough rambling from me! I wish whomever is reading this: A very good day! - Bagger
