why do my players stand there like melons not making a tackle while players run through them like there not there and score? yes sometimes they might run after the runner but still don't even bother to get a tackle in even when in a good position to, frustrating to look at

Im managing Stockport in the Championship and i don't have an U/23 team only U'18's, is it possible for me to get an U/23's?

I've played 3.5 seasons now and with a lower league side and everytime i have had a "golden generation" is this a bug?

what am i missing here?
i got promoted in my first season from the Vanarama League up to League 2 and in pre-season there is a good free agent who i wanted to sign he wanted so much in wages over 5k in fact, talks break down, he then goes and signs for a team in the Vanarama League for just over 1k when i was offering him more plus future incentives, also the club he went to are not on his favourite list or any personnel.

I keep pressing the continue button to exit the game, but it won't.

i really really like the recruitment meetings (but they could be made better by them asking you if you have any targets/players you'd like to bring in)
the match engine is much better than last year for sure
dislikes
wanting to talk to an individial ALL boxes are ticked so you have to untick all apart from the one or two you want to chat to
the short and long passes indicator in the dugout (please remove this) it serves no purpose
team talk screen is awful, the players are all over the screen
im not a fan of the dark skin, preffered last years
when lower league teams offer you nothing for (a youth player) but you throw in a little percentage of next sale and they always withdraw, why? he's still free0 -
It's like im still playing FM 20 to honest.
But i do like the recruitment meeting, the team sheets before the match (very tidy and easy on the eye) and the better match engine.

25th of March 2020 in Hungary and im supposed to be playing the 2nd leg in the cup, yet most of my team are still away on international duty. So i have to play alot of greyed out players?

Say i just do a European journeyman, and choose most of these lesser leagues:
Finland, Austria, Bulgaria, Belarus, Norway, Romania, Hungary, Greece, Iceland, Bulgaria and Slovenia should i keep the 5 bigger leagues loaded up to? if so what detail?

It's one thing to overachieve in the first and second seasons as a club who originally were supposed to not get relegated but in my third season i was told i was to qualify for the Champions League (at the time i thought it was the Europa League and i thought that in itself was gonna be hard) however i finish 4th by a single point, we qualify for Champions League football something the board had no right in asking for as we didn't even qualify for the Europa League any of the previous 2 seasons. Still all that and im in a sack race of all things? Where is the common sense in this game?

Does it have to be done manually EVERY season or is there a way to have my scouts to remember what competitions and current and potential ability and ages i want unless otherwise instructed? It's a pain having to do it every season.

In my backroom team advice i am getting coaching team improvements for U/18's manager when i already have one and also much much better than the ones being advised. Is this a bug?
Lol wait i think i just solved it after just posting this. he is not recognised as a manager more of a data analyst maybe that's the reason.

Do you see the difference compared to your setup? First, you now have variety on the flanks. But not only that. On the left, the combo of an attacking FB and IW/IF on support duty creates the so-called natural overlap, with the DLP providing defensive cover for the fullback (along with his playmaking duties). On the right, only the AMR has been changed from the IF on attack into a winger on attack. This way, you have one role on each flank that primarily looks to provide width up front and deliver crosses into the box for those attacking from central areas.
So that was the first part of my tactical advice. Tomorrow, I'll come to discuss other aspects (because there is pretty much).

I've managed to get a Vanarama team into the Premier League but i'm still seeing this message "player X believes your stature in the game isn't big enough to match his own" why? what do i have to do? I'm studying a Continental Pro license and my club a 2 and a half star national reputation club, and where in the Premier League, what more can i do?
