I experienced the same problem. Playing also the Console version on PC. At the end of my first season with Bayer Leverkusen I got the message 'game could not be saved', but I was able to continue with an older save. At the end of my second season again 'game could not be saved' but this time my save files disappeared forever. Very disappointing. I have no idea what could be the reason for this issue, the free space on my harddrive is more than enough.
