The news item generates immediately after the cup tie, so the closest save is just before the match is played and you will have to play the match and probably require a similar result.

Sorry, I probably wasn't clear enough. I agree that is the intention of the advice, but under the Rhys Wilson, the advice suggests that he should be given a run-out, when actually he's the main goalkeeper and has started 10 matches in a row.

Save from 2nd August, where Newtown have already agreed contract with Matras. Work permit fails on 3rd and they pull out. Then three Polish teams bid for him on 5th. These are not visible as other interested clubs when I offer him a new contract.

If you need another example, I am getting the same issue on my Swansea University save. I set a recruitment focus to loan only and only one from eleven returned players is available for loan (and they are not interested in joining me anyway; whilst another player whom is not loan listed is interested in a loan, but his club wants 100% wage contribution and my board allows 0%). This suggests that the problem is widespread amongst bottom leagues at least.

[Unable to turn off exclude own players in scouting screen]

I have a variation of the problem in that the 'Exclude' button has disappeared from the player search screen, regardless of whether or not I have a custom search selected.

Example of custom search where the 'Exclude' option reappears, I created this custom search when I noticed that exclude had disappeared from my original one and I wanted to evaluate my existing squad against these criteria before looking at new players:

Hi,

I have uploaded two saves, they are not the same as my screenshots as my save was a few days before and so it selects a different opponent and I had to run it a few times before it gave me a similar team, which is then repeated every time when you save immediately before the draw:

That first news item is wrong again and is corrected in the second one. The cup draw news item must be reversing the reputations of the opponent, thinking few stars are good and many stars are bad. As if to prove this, I won 4-1 having been 4-0 up after 20 minutes!

I actually realised when reporting another issue, that the reason on the player screen is wrong also, because the red card symbol in the pop-up appears whenever there is a ban and does not denote a red card alongside the points infringement, as I first thought. Here is another screenshot from where there is only a points infringement ban:
