  1. Brill with the discounts I could get through work it actually worked out £20 cheaper than the eBuyer one so glad I had another little look around this morning! thanks again
  2. If it was your money and your budget? Which would you choose mate? Is the processor the only real difference between them? What about graphics and the makes - is there much difference between Lenovo and ASUS? I have a voucher I can use for curry’s so the price difference will end up being negligible. really appreciate the help
  3. Thanks Kev. I am going to buy today and will be getting the one on ebuyer most likely. Just had another quick look around though and come up with the below… how would they compare in your opinion? im swayed towards either the ebuyer laptop above or the curry’s one , but would love your advice/opinion please https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9611342?clickPR=plp:2:9 https://www.currys.co.uk/products/lenovo-ideapad-3-16-laptop-amd-ryzen-7-512-gb-ssd-blue-10250686.
  4. That is brill - thanks. I have actually got a £25 voucher for Argos so I think I might give it a few days and cross my fingers that it comes back into stock!
  5. Thanks for the quick reply Kev. I've never had an AMD processor and my knowledge isn't the best to be able to understand the technical info when I try and compare. How would this processor stack up against the 12th gen processors in the links I sent please?
  6. Hi all, Looking for some advice - after a new laptop for FM24. Won't be used for anything else really except maybe the old film on Netflix when travelling something like that. Play in 2D classic - never been a fan of 3d, like to have quite a few leagues loaded up to make journeyman saves possible, budget is up to £650 maximum. Would the two laptops below be any good please? And could you recommend anything else in the price range? https://www.currys.co.uk/products/hp-envy-x360-15.6-refurbished-2-in-1-laptop-intel-core-i5-512-gb-ssd-silver-very-good-condition-10247389.html https://www.currys.co.uk/products/asus-vivobook-16-x1605za-16-laptop-intel-core-i7-512-gb-ssd-silver-10251394.html Noticed also Amazon Prime Day coming up - anyone ever managed to get a good laptop for FM on offer through that? Cheers
  7. Thanks for that. How does the one you have recommended compare with the laptop you recommended to Soulfusion, link below: https://www.box.co.uk/82S900YQUK-Lenovo-IdeaPad-Gaming-3-Intel-Core-i5-8G_4415151.html is the small price difference worth any potential performance improvements? Thanks in advance
  8. How have you been getting on with this so far please? Games running quickly? do you play in 2d or 3d? And how many leagues loaded?
  9. Need some advice from the experts - is this laptop any good for FM23 please?I play in 2D - so the graphics capabilities don't need to be fantastic. I want to be able to run games with the major countries loaded and maybe 2/3 obscure leagues to make saves fun (say 8/9 countries maximum). Would this laptop run a game of that size at a good, enjoyable speed please? https://ao.com/product/x1500eabq2502w-asus-vivobook-15-laptop-black-95674-251.aspxThanks
  10. I’ve never been able to get this to work, especially in a 4-2-4, I think they get in each others way! My instant thought would be to try it in a diamond, with your most creative midfielder in an attacking midfield AP role just behind them. Let one of the AFs roam from his position and have the other set up as default, so they try and do different things to find space for your AP.
  11. Thanks for the reply. The laptop I am running now and have been for probably 6/7 years or more has Intel (R) HD Graphics - and runs 2D just fine for what I need it for. I’m guessing this is the older, non graphics card option to what the potential new laptop has - Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics ? I am more concerned about speed / quality of play than I am having the best graphics.
  12. Hi all, I have been looking for a new laptop for FM23, with a max budget of 550. I play in 2D, and would like to be able to run games with a good amount of leagues to be able to do journeyman saves (major European leagues plus 1/2 obscure European leagues for smaller clubs). I’ve looked through all of the suggested specs for fm on the various blogs, and then come across the laptop below for what seems a price that is too good to be true? Am I missing something here and should I avoid this? https://ao.com/product/x1500eabq2182w-asus-vivobook-15-laptop-black-95384-251.aspx If I should avoid it, could anyone make a recommendation for a good laptop in my price range? Thanks. (Based in UK)
