  1. February 2021 The month started perfect with a 4-0 victory over Istra. But then came the top game and once more, we lost to Dinamo! They went in front early in the game. Livaja scored the equalizer from the spot after an hour, but ten minutes before the end, the guests stroke back and scored the 1-2 winner. After that defeat we had some problems. Against Slaven Belupo and Osijek we just get draws - thanks to midfielder Jani Atanasov who scored all three goals. Against Rijeka we had the luck on our side, when Čuić scored the very late winner. Against Hrvatski Dragovoljac Zagreb i decided to bring Ljubičić into the starting eleven. And he thanked it with two goals!
  2. January 2021 After two wins in the test games, we coming back to strong form in league. First we got a draw against HNK Gorica, where the guests equalized with ten men. But against Lokomotive and Sibenik it went better. We won with 2-0 and 3-0 and once again didn't conceded a goal. Still three points before Dinamo, but Zagreb has one game less.
  3. December 2020 Did we get the curve after the horrible november? Well, we've made it to part. Started with an usual loss in the Europa League against Betis Sevilla. Then at home against Slaven Belupo we finally scored goals - and no less than four! That gave us a little moral boost, that we managed to get a point in the last EL-Game against Frankfurt! The draws against Rijeka and especially against Hrvatski Dragovoljac Zagreb let us fall back into old patterns. A wild game we had in the second cup round. Facing with Osijek allready a tough opponent. Leading by 2-0 we managed to let the guests come back to the game. But in extra-time it was a clear business. We scored three more goals and made it with a 5-2 win to the next round. Still in pole position for the title, but Dinamo is getting closer and closer. And now the most important message for this year: The preview for the youth intake. Unfortunately no golden generation, but a good group of players. And the best: some nice prospects in positions we're in need. Plenty of wingers, a defensive midfielder who could go far, a promising full back and hot prospect from Kosovo! So, that we need new talents to develop shows this table. We just produced seven players, who are playing in the Prva Liga - Dinamo Zagreb has 27! Much work to do in the coming years!
  4. November 2020 By far the worst month since we arrived in Split. It started well with another win against Sibenik, but then things turned around. In Braga we couldn't score and lost 0-1. And also in the league we suddenly became harmless infront of the goal. No goals in Istra and then we badly lost to Dinamo. So we wanted to rehabilitate with a win in the Europa League. Against Braga we were on the right track, leading 1-0 till six minutes before the end. Then the portuguese increased the speed and scored two goals in the last five minutes of the game. So after four games with no points were allready out of the Europa League. And with that bad mood, we weren't also able for three points in Osijek. So just one win through this month, probably we were playing on a high run at the beginning of the season - or is it just a little knick? We're still on top, but Dinamo is chasing us and gets closer.
  5. October 2020 Well, i just noticed, that i withheld you the last qualification round for the Europa League in the previous post. But doesn't matter, with BATE Borrisow we had as less problems as with AEK Diamantakos becoming our international scorer with four goals in four matches - greek power! In the league we lost the first points with a draw against Rijeka. The first round in the cup - well nothing to talk about. I rotateted and gave some young players a chance. Unfortunately they didn't paid back the trust and we had to go to penalties to win. Back in league business we secured two 1-0 wins against NK Lokomotive and HNK Gorica. And in europe, as i said, we try to give our best. In Sevilla we did pretty good and lost just 1-2 seeing Mlakar scoring late his first goal this season. At home against Frankfurt Livaja made it from the spot before half-time to 1-2. But we weren't able to turn things around in the second half-time seeing the germans scoring the definetly winner in extra time. That leads us the the last place with no points after two games. We're allready doing our own things at the top of the table. But we benefit from a horrible start from our rivals in Zagreb. In another table Dinamo is still infront of us. They produced by far the most croatian national players in their club. We're following with a big gap on place two. Hopefully we can change this in the near future!
  6. September 2020 Well, could it become better than in August? Yes, it could! In the league we still didn't concide any goal after six games. And we've got a good balance in our scoring players. Livaja, Diamantakos and Dolček all scored twice in september. In the qualification for Europa League we surprisingly had a bit problems at home against Glentoran. In a tight game we won 1-0. But then in Greece i allready thought that we won't have great chances against AEK, luckly the team had another opinion. After the greeks went in front, we gave them five goals and won 5-1! That allready means the first qualification for Europa League in this save. But there i'm not expect much. We're the weakest team in the group and just try to give our best.
  7. August 2020 What a pre-season. We played against a bunch of slovenian teams and except the game against Maribor we won all with 2-1. Happy to see Ljubičić scoring twice in his first starter for the senior squad. In the league we showed a stabil defensive with not conceding a single goal in the first three games. In the starting one, we smashed our dalmatian rivals Sibenik with 4-0. At home against Istra it was Livaja, whos playing as left winger, who scored the only goal. In the first qualification round for the Europa League we faced armenian side Artsakh FC, which wasn't a hard step for us. Best thing came at the end. In the first face off of the season we beat Dinamo Zagred through a goal from Kačaniklić. Didn't reckon on such a start, but quite happy with it. Not that that table is really reliable, but i like to see where Zagreb stands after the first three games!
  8. The Beginning - Summer 2020 Facilities and youth coaching looks good. But hopefully we can improve it in future. The Squad A first look at the squad gives me confidence. We allready have a bunch of young croatian players which will be key players. But let's look a bit closer on the positions. Goalkeepers Three really good choices in goal. On option is the former croatian national keeper Danijel Subasic. After more than ten years in Monaco he came back home to this season. He would be the experienced option. Lovre Kalinic is probably the best option, but he's just on loan from Aston Villa and will go back after the season. And then there is Josip Posavec, who definitely would be the option for the future. Defenders Here we will allready have a problem after the first season. Our best defender, Nikola Katic is also just on loan and will leave back to Scotland. With Josip Elez, Kristian Dimitrov and Stefan Simic we have three other options, but as i play with 2 CDs i like to have an 4th option here. Next problem is on the right back. With Gergö Lovrencsics we just have on option here and the hungarian is actually on the offensive wing at home. Left side looks better. With Dario Melnjak and David Colina there are to players on league level. Midfield On the defensive part will play Josip Vukovic. Infront of him we have with Filip Krovinovic, Mario Cuic, Jani Atanasov and Marco Fossati several options. Wings On the right side former swedish international Alexander Kacaniklic will be the first option. His replacement will be Samuel Eduok. The nigerian i like, because he can play all three positions in the front row. Left side we have with Marko Livaja our best player. Ivan Dolcek will get also the minutes. Attack Here we have Dimitris Diamantakos and Jan Mlakar. Sadly no croatian player (Livaja could also start here), but i will try to integrate a youth player also. Youth A quick look at the U19 and there is a massive bunch of potential. For the attack spot i will have an eye on Marin Ljubicic. Rokas Pukstas could become soon an option in midfield and Toni Silic i will definetly integrate in the goal-team next season. I will start with the actual HoYD. His abilities looks ok, but probably i will have to replace him soon, because he's allready 65 years old.
  9. Freshly back from holidays inspired me for an new adventure (the Davids/Willem-Save is on a break) We landed in Split, a football enthusiastic city. Let's see, if we can challenge our big rival and serial champion Dinamo Zagreb. Despite as further challenge and the fact that Croatia is a country full of gems, this will be a youth only save. I will play as my alter ego here. And basically, because it's an youth only save, there are some restrictions 1. I do not sign any players from other clubs. Only exception is Hajduk II, because they act as an stand-alone club and i don't have access to it. The rest i focus on the players, which are coming through the intake. 2. Keep an eye on the finances. Hajduk is not a rich club, so that means, that i probably have to sell some star players in the future - but just for the right amount. 3. Trying to build several players for the croatian national team. Aim is, that some of our intakes will be key players for the kockasti in the future. So, let's start this adventure!
  10. probably because he wanted to go to man city. they also made an offer, but our DoF rejected because it was not even close as high as augsburg. but generally i think i never had so many snubbed contracts from players like in fm21. sometime it‘s just frustrating.
  11. Holiday-Break here for now. Maybe i will continue with this afterwards.
  12. The Pitbull-Stories European Championship 2028 Can England finally win some silverware? We went with big expectations into the tournament, after the excellent qualification round. In the group we faced Portugal, Russia and Scotland. And thats the squad, Davids called up for Spain. A mix of experienced and young players. Most famous players who didn't made it into the squad and were dropped are Marcus Rashford and Reece James, which both lost their place in the club. European Championship - Group C After a furious start game, where we smashed Portugal with 4-0, we suddenly and oddly get some problems. Against Russia nothing wanted to work and we had luck with an late equalizer from Sancho. Same thing against Scotland, were we weren't able to score. In the end it was enough for the first place in the group and lead us to a game against Ukraine. Scotland also made it through the group and Portugal as one of the best 3rd ranked teams. Second-Round The game against Ukraine was must win for England. Trent Alexander-Arnold brought us infront after 17 minutes, as he scored from the spot. Harry Kane made it to 2-0 after 78 minutes and lead us to the quarter final. There we face Sweden, which surprisingly beat the Netherlands. Quarter-Final Against Sweden Mason Mount had his game of the tournament. He scored after 13 minutes and then raised up the score before the break as he scored from the spot. In the second half Mason Greenwood made it to 3-0 minutes before the end. So we're going to the semifinals, where we face Germany. Semi-Final How's the saying? A game last 90 minutes and in the end Germany wins? Yes, that's unfortunately once more true. We made a bad start, Moukoko scored after 9 minutes the opener for Germany. Raheem Sterling equalized minutes before the break. In the second half it was a game, that could tip on both sides. But in the end the germans had the luck on their side. Benjamin Pasang scored in the 89th minute the late winner and destroyed our hopes of the final. In the other semifinal Spain won after penalties against Croatia. In the final, Germany was again winning through a late winner (96th minute!)
  13. The Pitbull-Stories April - May 2028 Crunchtime in Eredivisie and we started with a blunder! At home against Utrecht we just get a point and that very late. Fofana scored the equalizer in the 91st minute. Against the already relegated Almere we then didn't had any problems. On 23rd April it was time for the topgame. We had a big lost, because Fofana missed the most important game due to a pulled groin. The guests took the lead early in the game and we were just able to equalize. That meant, Feyenoord is still two points ahead of us. So we need to win the last two game and hope, that Feyenoord will lost some points. In the end we did our job, but also Feyenoord did theirs, so we missed the championship just because of two points. But in the end, we had it in our own hand and didn't do our job against Utrecht and in the direct game at home against Feyenoord. Brillant season, but in the end it's just a dissapointment, because we missed the championship so close! The good results of the team are reflected in several awards. Lorenza Pirola wins "Player of the Season"-Award. Raimond Dekker is awarded as "Youngster of the Season". Pontus Dahlberg was the best goalkeeper this year (with brillant 21 clean sheets!)
  14. The Pitbull-Stories February - March 2028 So we're continuing again with wining by getting three points against Groningen and Alkmaar. In the quarter final of the KNVB beker Jake Larsson secured our way into the semifinal with four goals over Vitesse! Then two draws followed against Breda and in the Europa League against Fiorentina. Unfortunately the schedule wasn't on our side, because between the two games against the italians we had the important top game in the league against Ajax. There we bounded all our power and won it with 2-1! That leaded to the case, that we couldn't start with our best eleven in Fiorentina, lost 1-3 and failed to take revenge. In Emmen we then added another three points in the league. In March it was Ajax's time for revenge. In the semifinal of the cup, they beat us with 2-4 after extra-time. In Eredivisie on the other hand we could continue our wining strike with victories over Heerenveen, Venlo and Nijmegen. But then our euphoria get a hard blow by a nasty training-injury from our midfielder Raimond Dekker. A broken lower leg and he will be out for 5 - 7 months. That's hard. And not even three days later, with Etienne Amenyido the next player faced an ugly injury in training. A broken ankle for the german and he's also ruled out for several months. Looks like our trainings are a bit rough at the moment. Table Eredivisie A close fight for the championship this season and we're right in the middle! We have the hardest rest programm with the key game against Feyenoord and facing PSV on the last day.
  15. The Pitbull-Stories January 2028 Transfers Out Two big sales that hurts us! Ivic is leaving to Genk for close to 20 millions. And then again the chinese bought one of our most importants players in winter (that's allready the third time). Casap is going to Guangzhou. The romanian was over the years our key player in midfield. Don't know how we should intercept this lost. In Not that much. With Kipré a strong and experienced defensive player and with Gordon another player for the offensive. Pretty much of a mixed month. In the cup we had trouble against De Graafshap, scoring the winning goal in extra time. In the league we lost then to Sparta, before smashing Almelo with 4-1. The goalless draw in Enschede was then also not the result we expected. We lost the second place to Ajax.
  16. The Pitbull-Stories In November was time for the last two games in the Euro-Qualification. We made some changes in the team. Ben Chilwell and Marcus Rashford weren't called up, because they don't play that much in their teams. First call up since i took over for Real Madrid leftback James Justin. We started with a home game against Northern Ireland, which we won easily with 4-0. Sancho, Bellingham, Jones and an own goal where at the end on the score-board. For the last game we travelled to Croatia, our biggest rival in the group. But they also couldn't stop us from the 8th win in the 8th game. Skipp and two goals from Greenwood lead us to a 3-1 win and the direct qualification for the Euro 2028 in Spain. A brillant campaign with 8 wins and the maximum points. We showed the best performances in the whole qualification. Inn the overall table we're on the first place, so the expectations for the tournament are quite big.
  17. The Pitbull-Stories November - December 2027 November was close to a brillant month. We started with a 3-0 home victory against Genk, that kept our chances for the KO-Round in the Champions League alive. In the League we could celebrate two 2-0 victories over Twente and Utrecht. Marquinhos Cipriano, Macrae, Fofana and Koumetio could write themselves on the scoreboard. The second last game in Champions League was a crucial one. In Rome we lost tight 1-2 after a horrible start. In Alkmaar then Fofana scored a late winner for another three points. In December we started with a draw against Breda, before getting three important points in Eindhoven against PSV! Our last home game in the Champions League we unfortunately couldn't deny successfully. Leverkusen was too strong that evening and beat us 0-2. With 9 points we now have to continue in Europa League. But we still showed an overall good performance in our first CL-Season! The last four games on national side we were able to win all. That leads us to the second place at the winter break! Table Eredivisie Table Champions League Now we face Fiorentina in the Europa League. Maybe it's time for a revenge?
  18. The Pitbull-Stories September - October 2027 Not much personal switches. Harry Kane couldn't play in September due to injury. For him Dwight McNeil was called up and could made his debut. In Kosova we didn't had any problems. Kane-replacement DLC with two goals. And in the second half James and Jones raised to 4-0. A bit tighter was the game in Northern Ireland. The hosts went in front, but we could turn things in the second half-time. In October Kane was back from injury, but because he wasn't in shape yet, i called up Graham Betteridge-Edge, an uprising striker from Chelsea, for him. For the english press reacted immediately and Kane personally called me. In the end everything was for nothing, because DLC get injured and Kane replaced him So after the little trouble, we smashed Azerbaijan 7-0 and Kane scored from the spot. Also Betteridge-Edge scored on his debut. So two games left and we lead the group unbeaten. Euros, we are coming!
  19. The Pitbull-Stories September - October 2027 First Champions League game, first win! Lazio we can beat with 1-0 at home. Italian striker Cutrone with the goal against his landsmen. But then we crashed 2-5 in Leverkusen. Again was Cutrone scoring for us. In Eredivisie we win against Almere and Heerenveen, but loss again in Feyenoord. They get me sleepless nights... Ocotber started with a thrilled 4-4 away in Ajax! Against Emmen we scored again four goals, but lucky our opponents just once found the net. In Genk we get another three points in the CL due to a late goal from Fofana. The month ended with two wins in the league. Table Eredivisie Table Champions League Better than we expected!
  20. The Pitbull-Stories July - August 2027 After pre-season we started on first of august with an away game in Groningen. Leftback García gave us an early lead and in the second half Misidjan made the first win perfect. The there was a three week break in the league and we had to battle for the first champions league qualification. And the way to the competition was hard. In the third qualification round we faced FC Porto. In Portugal we managed to get a draw by Schoonbrood scoring in the first half. In the re-game everything looked bad, because we were 0-1 behind by a goal from Hlozek at the break. But then in the second half, the team came back different. Scoring three goals secured us the way into the Playoffs. There we were drawn again to a big-opponent by facing Shakthar Donezk. And that was a tight leg. The home-game we won with 1-0 by a goal from Rogério. In Ukraine we went again in front by a goal from Cutrone. The ukrainians managed to get back, but that was all and with an 1-1 we qualificated for the Champions League! And because we set all the power to this, in the league we couldn't continue wining. Against Sparta Rotterdam and Venlo we just get draws. Table Eredivisie In the CL-Groupstage draw we were drawn to a balanced group. Lets see, what's possible! The Schoonbrood-talks Our promising youngster was chased by City in August. But their offer was just laughable and our DoF rejected thankfully. That made Schoonbrood mad and he requested a transfer. In the end it was FC Augsburg who stepped in and made an offer worth of 53 millions! Nice value and our DoF accepted. Would have been much money for us and also a big loss. But in the end, Schoonbrood rejected the germans and will stay in Willem.
  21. thanks! Misidjan unfortunately stagnate in his process and i don't think he will get the curve anymore. But Schoonbrood and Dekker developping really good and Fofana we don't even need to talk about
  22. The Pitbull-Stories Season 2027/28 Transfers Out Nothing surprisingly. Many loans out, biggest sale is the one from Leverbe. Also Lord left us. But mostly we could kept the team together. In Also not many transfers, just some positions we needed an upgrade. And that we have in goal with Pontus Dahlberg. A very professional player with a bit international experience. Probably the best keeper, we had so far. With Marquinhos Cipriano we bought another left wingback. The brazilian joins us from Coritiba, but has already had several stations in Europe like in Donezk, Sion, Belgrad or Lüttich. The other big arrival is Nemanja Maksimovic. The serbian comes with the routine of close to 100 games for his country. The last two years he played in Marseille on loan and joins us for free, after he left Real Madrid, which payed around 50 millions for the midfielders in 2023! So our new signings maybe are older and experienced, but i think this will be a good mix with our young prospects. And that's how the squad looks like for this season.
  23. The Pitbull-Stories In June was time for the big game against Croatia and a friendly in Russia. Compared to the last call-up i didn't made any changes. According to the motto "never change a winning team". And at home we showed no problems against Croatia. Jadon Sancho scored after 18 and 24 minutes and lead us with 2-0 in front. In the second half it was oldie Harry Kane who put the lid on with the 3-0. In Russia gave some substitutes a chance to shine - and russia suddenly was 0-2 up. Thanks to Greenwood, who scored two goals in the second half, we didn't lost. On the track to Euro 2028 in Spain!
  24. The Pitbull-Stories End of Season-Review Schoonbrood is our topscorer! Goalkeepers Dakovic did a good job, stepping in after Benítez left us in winter. But now we need an upgrade in this position. Defenders With Pirola and Koumetio we have now a good and young couple in centre back. Nuhu und Tabizde became backups, Leverbe is on the way out. On the right side Calabresi is still delivering. Mabiala is talented, but doesn't impress me and has a poor fitness. Owusu is still here, but has had his best years already. Maybe he stays one more year, because we can use him at both sides. Left side we have with García now finally a good option to be competitive with Köhn. Dekker and Lauper were used as midfielder. Especially the homegrown-youngster had a good first season in the first squad. Midfielders As always was Casap our anchor in central midfield. And as always he delivered! Ghion also with a passable first season for us. On the offensive midfield no way led past Ivic. Ildefonso couldn't catch up and Maher will leave us, because his wage is way too high for his abilities. Left wing did Schoonbrood a brillant season. His backup Larsson was also dangerous infront of the goal. Right wing we are with Fofana and Rogério very good staffed. Svenssons time will going to be over. Forwards Cutrone is good, but 9 goals arent that much. Same for Novata. Heitor looks like a good player, but as a central forward he don't fit that much and on the right wing he hasn't got a chance against Fofana and Rogério. Amenyido i will also try to sell and Kahvic will leave us for free after he couldn't impress us and didn't score a goal! Finally a big budget!
