  1. 2022/23 Season Preview There was a lot of transfer activity this summer and we are now second favorites for the title according to the media. Our board has also raised expectations to a top 3 finish, which is fair and is what I expect too. There is still a gap to LISCR which can be seen in the odds and the fact that 7 of the Media Dream Eleven are their players. We have one player in exciting new signing Bismark Duah, which I will showcase in a bit. Transfers A massive 13 players in as we get a $5k p/m raise in wage budget and release a bunch of players in the summer. It looks like I purposefully raided LISCR but I promise it was not intentional . It goes to show how strong their squad is though that they still have the best players around and could afford a bunch of good talent to move to their rivals. Time will tell if it was a good move. We have not necessarily improved the quality of the first XI by much, but we do have a much better squad that will help us navigate through the season. I will highlight the signings that will feature more in the first XI. Good young versatile defender, not excellent at RB but better than what we had and what was available. Another good young defender from LISCR, will replace Festu Blapoh who we lost to LPRC Oilers. Probably our best signing. Didnt think I would be able to find someone anywhere near Dennis Teah, but then to find someone at this level 11 years younger was amazing business. Only downside is that he could be injury prone... We struggled with quality down the left last season and this young Ghanaian looks like he could well do the trick. Best left-back in the league. I like him for his versatility and he is another decent young player. I regret this one. Yes, he will probably start for us but way too old and I could have used the foreign spot in a better way. LISCR let me have this guy on loan with no wage contribution - thank you very much! Assistant Best XI Dont necessarily agree with him. Koon and Bility can drop back to the DLP role and give us better options in center mid and Nyanfore renewed his contract and is still a better option than Karly up front, although it is good to have a strong young option up front on the bench, the back-up strikers last season were terrible. Initial Fixtures A light first month fixture wise but we start the league with tricky away legs before hosting recently relegated Sandi FC in the LFA Cup.
  2. September 2022 Our league season only starts in November but our Confederations Cup campaign has already started and ended. We got very unlucky in the draw, having to face a very strong ASEC Mimosas side. I thought we did very well in both games, which were even but where their superior quality meant they converted their chances. Now the focus is on continuing to build the squad for the league season.
  3. 2021/22 West Africa Review CAF Champions League It was a disappointing season for West African teams as none of them managed to qualify for the Group Stages, with a handful of teams falling at the last hurdle to get there. Horoya AC of Guinea lost to Algeria's ES Setif, AS SONIDEP of Niger lost to Egypt's Al Ahly, ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast lost to Tunisia's ES Tunis, Salitas FC of Burkina Faso lost to Morocco's Raja Casablanca. These were all respectable losses but the biggest shock came as Nigeria's Enyimba Aba lost to unfancied Djibouti side AS Arta. The Final of the Champions League was an all South Africa affair, as Sundowns beat Kaizer Chiefs on penalties to win their second ever title. CAF Confederations Cup With a lot of teams losing in the CAF Champions League and dropping to the CAF Confederations Cup there was a decent presence in the Group Stage, with 5 teams from the region represented. Hearts of Oak and Salitas FC managed to get through their groups, but Casa Sports, Horoya AC and Enyimba Aba bid farewell at this stage. At the knockout stage, overachievers Salitas FC could not get past eventual winners CS Sfax, who also knocked out Hearts of Oak. West African League Rankings I am not sure when this resets, but no movements in the leagues, with the Nigerian League still the highest ranked in the region and 13th most reputable in the Continent and the Liberian league the lowest and 69th in the continent. League Champions We have first time champions in Burkina Faso, Togo and Cape Verde, making 3 clubs ineligible to Kojo going forward. There are a lot of clubs who have not won before finishing close to first place so that list is bound to grow over time. The furthest seems to be in The Gambia where Samger finished 9th. Interestingly in only 2 of the 15 countries the record champions won the title, with Enyimba Aba and Horoya AC extending the records.
  4. 2021/22 Season Review Awards Squad by Appearances Best Eleven A great first season in charge where we met expectations in the league and got a bonus LFA Cup to end the season in style. We are still a way away from the top two teams, especially LISCR who have a much stronger squad than the rest of the league. Our team had some very good players like Dennis Teah and Rufus Nyanfore who made it into the league's team of the season, but it was very unbalanced and lacked depth, which exposed us at times. Top Performers Our top scorer and by far best player, at 37 I am not sure if I want to renew his contract, but there just isn't a lot of players that have his quality in the league so it may be worth having him around for one more season. Our other oldie up front was also superb, with not as many goals as Nyanfore but expected as he was playing as DLF. I have already renewed his contract so he will be with us next season. Was just solid and reliable this year and helped us play from the back very effectively. Just cant get him to sign a new contract so it may be a big loss for next season. Finances This is a nice change from Brazil. Despite the lower figures comparably we are not leaking money, quite the contrary we made a $150k profit last season which bodes well for the future. We are way over budget but with a lot of players expected to leave over the summer and the promise by the board of a higher wage budget I am not too concerned. Progress
  5. May 2022 A great month as we secure third place and win the first trophy in Kojo's career. LPRC Oilers edged us out in the league game in what was an even game but they could not handle us in the first 30 minutes of the LFA Cup Final and we made the most of it. They got one back in the second half but never really threatened to get close. A huge win as it not only gives us a trophy but also gets us into the CAF Confederation Cup next season!
  6. April 2022 We are back in form in what was a good month. We are still fighting with Watanga for fourth place as LISCR and LPRC Oilers are out of reach. In the FA Cup we got lucky again as we were drawn against Mighty Blue Angels in the Semi Final, with LPRC Oilers playing Invincible Eleven in the other Semi-Final. The home leg win puts us pretty much in the final, which is great to get to in the first year at the club. Next Fixtures We finish the league with a couple of very difficult fixtures. Third place might be defined on the last day against Watanga so its a good thing we can rest players in the FA Cup two days before that.
  7. Thanks! Yes, part of the fun will be playing in countries I have very little knowledge of!
  8. March 2022 We continue to struggle in the league and now have competition for 3rd place, which is as high as we will finish. The game against LISCR was always going to be a tough one but losing to Nimba Kwado was particularly disappointing. The FA Cup has been a nice distraction as we beat second tier side Muscat comfortably and got very lucky in the Quarter Final draw by getting another second tier side in Junior Professionals whilst LISCR and LPRC Oilers were drawn against each other. The Quarters are played over two legs, we should have won the away tie by more but taking a win to the home leg is not bad. Improvements Got my first improvement approved by the board, they didnt agree to improve youth recruitment though. Next Fixtures We are getting toward the business end of the season and I am hoping we can pick up our early season form again and finish strongly as well get through the Semi Finals of the FA Cup.
  9. January/February January was a poor month that put a serious dent in our title challenge, it is difficult seeing LISCR and LPRC Oilers dropping too many points and I dont think we can beat them yet. February was the proper mid-season break and also the mid-season transfer window, which was quite busy. Transfers 7 players in and 3 out. I may be in a bit of trouble with the board as two outgoing transfers fell through on deadline day and we are now over the wage budget. We did manage to strengthen the team quite well though. We also signed a few players for the summer already to replace some of our stars that are refusing to sign contracts. My feeling is this will be a very different side next season, hopefully for the better. Squad player for now but looks promising. Experienced Ghanaian DLP, lets me play Koon further up the field. Solid, if unspectacular option in midfield Another Ghanaian brought in anticipation of one of our centre backs leaving in the summer. Completes the Ghanaian trio, very old but much better than having a 17 year old with silver stars. Next Fixtures If we have any hope of winning the title we have to beat LISCR in our next game. We also travel so second division side Muscat in the Last 16 of the Liberian FA Cup, which the board expects us to reach the final.
  10. December 2021 A very good month other than the draw against Sandi FC, where we absolutely dominated but just could not find a way through. At the moment it is us LPRC Oilers and LISCR fighting for the title and I dont see anyone else challenging. The only concern I have is that some of our crucial players do not want to renew their contracts, which will put us in a spot of bother next season. Next Fixtures A massive game against LPRC Oilers before a mid-season break. The game will be crucial to determine our chances to win the title.
  11. November 2021 The gulf in quality in the Liberian top flight is huge. You have a handful of Professional clubs, a couple of Semi-Professional ones and some Amateurs all in the same league. No surprise that the games against the amateurs were easy as we are professional ourselves. Against LISCR though it was clear there is a gap between us and the top two sides as they dominated us and 3-1 was flattering on our side. Transfers The registration window closed at the end of October and it was not enough time for us to bring a lot of players in. Massaquoi Boimah the only signing but a valuable addition in midfield. Next Fixtures December is a busy month with some good challenges against Mighty Barrolle, Invincible Eleven, Nimba United and Watanga, who are all professional sides. Think it will be telling as to how well we will do in the league this year.
  12. Monrovia Club Breweries Monrovia Club Breweries is a Liberian club from the capital city of Monrovia. They were founded in 1990 as the football club representing Monrovia Breweries, the largest beer producers in Liberia, which are owned by the Diageo group. I have had their signature Club Beer so nice to have a link to the club . There is not much information on the club other than them finishing third place in the top flight three times, most recently in 2017. They have also won the Liberian FA Cup on two occasions, in 2017 and 2020. They also seem to have beaten JS Kabylie from Algeria in the Confederations Cup 3-0 at home once, but were beaten 4-0 in the return leg. They play their games at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Monrovia, a 25,000 seater stadium that I presume is government owned as quite a few of the larger Monrovia clubs play there, including bug boy LISCR and LPRC Oilers. Strongest XI The squad is very unbalanced with a few standout players mixed in with a lot of very average ones. It is clear strengthening the midfield will be a top priority. Top Rated Players Is in the Media's First XI for the League and certainly looks like a solid player for this level that still has a few good years ahead of him. Also in the Media's First XI - great technical skills but is getting on a bit. Our other Striker and another oldie, our strike partnership will be a combined 71 years old! Finances Losses were wiped out with the $84k sponsorship we have, which is the 4th highest in the league. We have a bit of wage budget left to strengthen the squad but not much. Initial Fixtures We have just over a month before our league campaign begins, which gives us a decent amount if time to see if we can improve the squad and for the players to get somewhat familiar with my formation. We are predicted to be 3rd by the league so I would like to finish at least the best of the rest as the top two sides look to be a lot better than us. I also though it might be good to show the tactic I will use for this save, it is the same 4-1-2-1-2 I used in the Brazil States save, that plays a patient passing game and has served me very well. I do also have a tactic to close out games but it essentially just changes some of the more adventurous roles and gets us pressing less. I'll report back at the end of November with hopefully some sort of initial success
  13. Great end to the season, 4th place followed by the Europa League title! Will be good for you as I think you will be top seed in the CL next season, right?
  14. Chapter 1 - Liberia Liberia is a country in West Africa bordered by Sierra Leone and Guinea to the North and Ivory Coast to the East. The official language of the country is English but there are over 20 local languages spoken. There are around 5 million inhabitants in Liberia with the capital Monrovia the largest city with just over 1 million inhabitants. Monrovia is the only large city in the country with the next biggest city being Gbarnga with 56 thousand inhabitants. Unlike other West African countries Liberia was not colonized by European countries. Instead it began as a project in the 19th century by the American Colonization Society, which believed black people would have a better chance at prosperity in Africa than in the US. Between 1822 and 1861 just under 20 thousand people relocated from the US and Caribbean to Liberia. An Americo-Liberian culture quickly developed and independence was declared in 1847, which was only recognized by the US 15 years later. Liberia is therefore the first African country to have claimed independence and oldest modern republic in Africa. Americo-Liberians did not integrate well with the local tribes and held disproportionate power and control for over a century. This resulted in a military coup in 1980 in which the then president was killed, and began two decades of instability in the country. Two Civilian Wars followed, killing 250 thousand people and shrinking the size of the population by 8%. A peace agreement was signed in 2003 which led to democratic elections ever since. The current president is George Weah, former World Player of the Year and Milan and PSG striker. Liberia is mostly covered by tropical rainforests which cover the rolling hills all the way across the north of the country, where the highest point of the country Mount Wuteve is at 1,440 meters. The civil war left Liberias economy in disarray and despite growth in the last 20 years it has been hindered by poor infrastructure, a small domestic market and little trade agreements with other countries. Rubber and Timber are the countries biggest exports, with mining being explored since the end of the civil war. Although tourism in Liberia is very unexplored, the country does have beautiful and is a great destination for surfing, with some hard core surfers travelling from all over the world to surf in Robertsport. Football in Liberia There has not been a lot of footballing success in Liberia outside of George Weah, with the national team starting to compete in qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations in 1967 but only making the Finals in 1996 and 2002, failing to get past the group stage both times. A national league was first created in Liberia in 1956, although little is know about the competition until 1963, when Invincible Eleven won the title. They are the most succesful club in Liberia with 13 league titles alongside Mighty Barolle. In the history of the Liberian First League there has only been one winner outside of the capital Monrovia, when Nimba United won the title in 2015. More recently LPRC Oilers and LISCR have been the most dominant sides along the now defunct Barrack Young Controllers. Both of these alongside Mighty Barolle are the highest reputation clubs in the country and the only three that start the save with a manager. This give Kojo a clean slate and an opportunity to get a job at a better side in Liberia from the off, which he will gladly take in the beginning of the journey.
  15. West Africa is made up by the 15 (or16) westernmost countries in Africa, with a total area of 5,114,162km2 and population of over 349 million. It was home to large empires such as the Gao and Mali empires before colonization by the French, English and Portuguese. In 1957 the first West African country declared independence and the list was completed in 1974. The climate is heavily influenced by the Sahara to the north of its semi-arid region and the more tropical climate at Atlantic coast to the South. Whilst the official language in most of these countries is French, English or Portuguese, there are thousands of local languages originating from the local tribes. All 15 countries are part of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), established in 1975. The large trade bloc provides not only economic and trading agreements, but also political and security ones. The United Nations also includes Mauritania as part of West Africa, but as they are culturally more predominantly Arab and left ECOWAS in 1999 I decided to not include them in the save. You could also call this the ECOWAS challenge then Why West Africa? West Africa is a region that I personally know part of, having been to Guinea, Liberia, Ghana and Togo for work, which included living in Ghana for 3 years. I really enjoyed my time in Ghana and followed football when I lived there, which was passionately supported by the people despite the chaotic organization. I have wanted to do a West Africa save since I saw @DaveTheEditor's Around the Globe database but thought I would not have the stamina to do it right after a long Brazil save. After that was cut short though and realizing that the 15 countries run better on my laptop than the massive Brazil file I decided to have a go. The Challenge Similar to my State Challenge the idea here is to win the national title of the 15 countries in West Africa. Here however I will strictly follow the rule of only doing it with clubs that have never won the national title before. I did enjoy hopping around in Brazil but always enjoyed it more when I spent more than just 6 months at a club. This means this save will be long, but I am OK with that considering the variety of leagues included. Just like the Brazil State challenge there will be an order to how I will attempt this, beginning with the lowest reputation league until the highest reputation league. This will be dynamic, which means that if a reputation in a league increases and surpasses another they will swap order in the save. I will have all 15 countries loaded at once so will not have to add/remove countries. One exception is that Ghana will always be the last country in the save, it is the spiritual home of the save and I may also attempt to win the Champions League with a club from the country if I still have the stamina for it. The Manager Kojo Danquah is a 20 year old Ghanaian bron in Yendi with no badges or experience. The name was inspired by two things. In Ghana people have a name given to them depending on the day of the week they are born. Kojo is one of the variants for those born on a Monday. Danquah is a second name in Ghana from Akan origin meaning "Everlasting". Since Kojo will be very old by the end of this save I thought the name was appropriate The Beginning The LFA-Cellcom First Division League in Liberia is ranked 69th out of 83 leagues in Africa, sandwiched between the Gambian Second Division and the D1 in Mauritania. Very excited to start in the first country I visited in West Africa! I will go a little bit into Liberia and football there before we attempt to join our first club.
  16. Thank you guys, really appreciate the feedback! I was thinking that I would just do one of the challenges in the CSE Forum as my next save, but realized that part of my enjoyment in this save was being able to showcase a little bit about each State and the football history there. I do think I need a break from Brazil and South America though - I do want to attempt this save again at some point, but probably need a couple of saves in between to re-ignite my spark for it. I have an idea in a different continent, somewhere I also have personal ties to, hopefully I can start with it at some pint this week. Again, appreciate the feedback and hope to have you onboard for the next challenge
  17. Thanks Bitner but unfortunately I have to report that this save has ended…I had an issue where the game was running really slowly, including any new saves saves that I started. I tried several things and after uninstalling and installing the game it is finally back to normal speed. Issue now is that the the save crashes every time I try to load it, despite all the folders being exactly the same before uninstalling. To say I am gutted would be an understatement
  18. 2043 Campeonato Paraibano Preview Onto the second attempt at this and the roles have been reversed with Botafogo (PB), with them now in Série B and us a Série A side and now favorites for the title. We did get the easier draw as they have Treze in their group, the only other side in the State not in the Seletiva, but realistically it will be easy for both of us until the final. We will hopefully have the advantage of fresher legs when we get there without the additional Copa do Nordeste games. Transfers I really struggled to find players that would add quality to our squad and that we can afford or are interested in us. We lost out on a couple of free transfers to other Série A teams and the R$2M transfer budget we have is not really enough to get the required quality in. We did however manage to make two signings. Franco Cardozo I took a gamble on singing him ahead of his contract expiry without really scouting him and it didnt really pay off. Great physicals but terrible defending attributes, Nevertheless still better than playing a makeshift midfielder as right back. Léo I liked the look of him and he was available on a free from Fluminense so took the plunge. He will be our first choice in a position where we now have too many players so either Ricardo Yarak or Osvaldo Vásquez will have to go. Initial Fixtures Even without the Copa do Nordeste it is a busy month, but manageable especially as the competition will be weak.
  19. January 2043 A quick update before we do the State Championship Preview. As State Championship runners-up we did not get automatic qualification to the Copa do Nordeste group stage and had to face 3 preliminary rounds to try to get there. We almost stumbled in the first hurdle as América (RN) held us back before we sealed our passage through penalties. The second round was straightforward but in the final one we faced a Retrô side that just got relegated from Série A. We played out a drab two games before I thought we stole the tie with a goal in the 90th minute. Retrô however scored an equalizer in the fifth minute of stoppage time and then went on to knock us out on penalties. There are positives and negatives to the elimination. Missing out on R$1.5M participation money is not great for the club, but having to play 8 games less in the next couple of months will keep us fresher for the State Championship, which is the ultimate goal.
  20. 2042 Brazil Review Série A: Palmeiras win back to back titles and are now the most successful team with 14. It was a strong year for São Paulo State teams as 6 of the top 8 are from the State. Botafogo (PB) are the only team to go straight back down to Série B (yay), along with Northeast counterparts CSA, Sport and Retrô. Nova Iguaçu and Cuiabá go straight back-up, joined by Ponte Preta and State Hunters Campinense, who make an appearance for the first time since 1981. State Championships (in Ranking order) 1. São Paulo: Palmeiras beat São Paulo to claim their 27th title. Corinthians are still record holders with 34. 2. Rio de Janeiro: Vasco win their first title in 5 years and 27th in total. Flamengo are still record holders with 49. 3. Rio Grande do Sul: Grêmio win the title against Internacional and go up to 55, 4 ahead of their rivals. 4. Minas Gerais: Atlético Mineiro win their third title in a row to extend their record to 57. 5. Paraná: Athletico Paranaense beat Foz do Iguaçu to win their 35th title. Coritiba are still record holders with 43. 6. Santa Catarina: Criciúma beat surprise package Brusque to win their 17th title. Avaí are still biggest winners with 20. 7. Ceará: Ceará beat Fortaleza and win their 49th title, still some way behinde their rivals at 61. 8. Goiás: Goiás beat surprise package Jataiense again in the final to extend their record to 40 titles. 9. Bahia: Vitória gain the title back from rivals Bahia to win their 38th title, still a long way of the 62 their rivals have won. 10. Pernambuco: Sport beat Porto (PE) to win a record extending 52nd title. 11. Alagoas: A big upset as someone other than CSA or CRB win the title for the first time in 10 years. Santa Rita (AL) win their 2nd ever title, the other one coming in 2004. CSA are record holders with 46. 12. Mato Grosso: Cuiabá win their fifteenth title in a row and 30th overall, extending their lead as record title holders. 13. Pará: Remo beat Paysandu to win their 55th title and reduce the lead to their rivals to 2. 14. Maranhão: Iimperatriz beat Sampaio Corrêa on penalties to win the title for the 7th time. Sampaio Corrêa are still record holders with 52. 15. Rio Grande do Norte: An upset as Potiguar win their 3rd ever title and first since 2013. ABC are still record holders at 69. 16. Paraíba: Botafogo (BP) beat State Hunters Campinense in the final again and win record extending title number 42. 17. Sergipe: Itabaiana beat Confiança (SE) again to win their 12th title. Sergipe are record holders with 39. 18. Amazonas: Fast Club beat Atlético Amazonense to win their 9th title. Nacional (AM) are record holders with 50. 19. Piauí: Altos (PI) end the run of 4 straight wins from River (PI) to win their 10th title. The beaten finalists are still record holders with 42. 20. Acre: Vasco (AC) easily retain the title by winning both stages and now go up to 18 titles in total. Rio Branco (AC) are still the biggest winners with 33. 21. Distrito Federal: Brasília beat Formosa in the final and win their 16th title overall, 1 behind record holders Gama with 17. 22. Espírito Santo: Desportiva beat Serra in the final and claim their 30th title. Rio Branco (ES) are record holders on 39 titles. 23. Roraima: Baré win their first title in 5 years and 11th overall. Atlético Roraima are still record holders with 24. 24. Tocantins: Tocantinópolis beat Interporto to win their 9th title. Palmas are record holders with 15. 25. Mato Grosso do Sul: Operário (MS) retain the title to win their record extending title number 22. 26. Rondônia: Genus beat Barcelona (RO) again to claim their 8th title. Ferroviário (RO) are record holders with 17 despite not existing anymore. 27. Amapá: Ypiranga (AP) win back to back titles and extend their record to 24 titles. Former Champions Watch I will only update on the teams with which I have won State titles with. Tapajós (AP): Just managed to avoid relegation from the State Championship and finished 4th in the Seletiva again. Pimentense: Bottom in second State tier and second bottom in the Seletiva. Costa Rica (MS): Frustrating year, losing in the Seletiva final and finishing third in the State Championship. Palmas: Lost to Interporto in the State Championship Semi Final and finished bottom of their group in Série D, a poor year. Náutico (RR): Finished second to Baré in the Seletiva and third in the State Championship. Knocked out at the first in the Copa Verde. Desportiva: They beat Serra in the State Championship final but their rivals got revenge by beating them in the Quarter Finals of Série D and therefore getting promotion at Desportivas expense. Did win the Copa Espírito Santo too and got to the quarters of the Copa Verde. Brasília: The year started well with them regaining the State Championship but ended in disappointment as they were relegated from Série C. Other cup performances were not noteworthy. Rio Branco (AC): Finished runners-up in the State Championship again, but won the Seletiva to go back up to Série D again. Knocked out pretty early in the Copa Verde and Copa do Brasil. River (PI): Disappointing in State competitions as they lost to Altos in the final of the State Championship and Semi Final of the Copa Piauí. In Série C they did get to the Second Group Stage but were unable to get promoted. Amazonas FC: Lost to JC in the State Championship Quarter Final after finishing 1st in the League Stage. Decent first season in Série C as they finished 6th in their group. Itabaiana: Surprisingly won the State Championship again but frustratingly lost the Seletiva final to Santa Cruz (SE).
  21. 2042 Season Review Squad by Appearances Best Eleven This was the longest season of the save for me, by far. A staggering 63 matches meant we rotated the team a lot and only 4 players made more than 50 appearances. The defeat in the final of the State Championship was obviously disappointing but we have to be pleased with the rest of the year as we overachieved in all other competitions, with promotion the icing on the cake. The squad was very well balanced with the exception of right back, where Ademar was our starting players despite being more adept at playing in midfield. We did look light up front but the signing of Néstor Yackson solved that problem as he helped fire us up the promotion places. We had very few disgruntled players, but a few fringe ones left at the end of the season and our very bright prospect of Fábio Luiz is upset as he was out of form towards the end of the season and lost his place. With Milan interested in him I might struggle to keep him at the club next season. Top Performers Walter Leonardo Almost everything went through him as he got a massive 44 goal contributions in 51 appearances. We signed him to a longer deal during the season and will look for him to keep leading from AP next season. Néstor Yackson Signing of the season for me. I stumbled on him as our team started struggling up front. His contract with Defensor Sporting was about to expire and we closed out the deal pretty quickly. His 17 goals were just 2 shy of the Série B top scorer, who played 13 games more than him. Fábio Luiz His form did drop towards the end of the season and he was not the most prolific in Série B, but he is a huge talent. If Milan decide to act on their interest I cant see us keeping with us next season. Finances This is my biggest concern, despite just under R$10M in player income this year we are losing money like crazy. I hope Série A has decent money as we only got R$200k for finishing 4th in Série B...
  22. November 2042 Easy does it, the win over Náutico ensured our promotion and Campinense are in the top flight for the first time in over 60 years! The loss against Remo meant we were not in the race for the title but promotion is what matters most. At the end of the table Botafogo shockingly go down to Série C, they even had the chance to overtake Náutico by playing them at home in the last game but bottled it and lost. We got roughly an additional R$1M added to our wage budget, so lets see if we can attract some better talent early next season, which is only 1-2 months away!
  23. October 2042 Promotion is almost secured but we are stumbling towards the finish line. After an impressive win at Imperatriz I thought we were there when we were playing relegation strugglers CRB, but they frustrated us over 80 minutes and after we got a goal they came back and got an equalizer 5 minutes later. Coritiba then tore us apart at their place in a very deserved defeat. Next Fixtures We need two points from our last 3 games to ensure promotion, all against sides in the bottom half including bottom place América (RN) who have been awful, so surely...we also still have a shot at the title but honestly at this stage I care mostly about promotion.
