  1. switching my LB to FB/A results in going from demolishing teams to creating 0 chances and losing every game
  2. its quite literally just a goalkick. no, sometimes its my other winger doing that.
  3. please just look at the gk screenshot. my LW is treq and hes pressed up while my rw is at the halfway line. this has nothing to do with my treq, i play IW, IF there too. more often than not i have 1 player back whos supposed to be pressing on the GK. already have mark tighter on front 3 and the 2 CMs
  4. just look at my RW bro... my treq has 18 work rate and 13 aggression. i also don't always play him as Treq. has nothing to do with my roles. we press just fine except for GKs where there's always 1 attacker wildly out of position.
  5. on opposition GK every time one of my player is out of position: vs on my goalkicks:
  6. yes, fairly wide + DLP instructions + higher LOE but left DL on standard as my CBs are on the slower side. no luck trying attacking mentality now, still not creating chances but am somehow scoring more for example 2 goals from .1 xg and barely did anything all game, 4 goals in another match from .86 xg. we're just not creating chances ourselves.
  7. ive switched my RCM to a CM/a and kept my DLF/a. still can't create chances unless i play with an AF , just relying on being clinical and scoring every tiny chance we get. i've brought in a really good IF and he keeps getting 6.1-ish rating every game. i hate AFs in FM, they're overpowered, you dont need a brain to score playing an AF, i've always scored way more than i should've with an AF. my AF at my last club scored 192 goals in 257 games and the guy did NOT have the attributes to do so.
  8. hard disagree. +500 hours in fm22, it has the same issues that are in many previous fm games that they just refuse to fix. so i'll probably have to play an advanced forward type i guess cause i prefer 2 support duty CMs. my Mez/s has really good attributes and already has gets forward whenever, beats offside trap, gets in opposition box yet still doesn't offer enough penetration but on attack duty just mindlessly bombs forward.
  9. FM21 my winger is really just a dribbly boy, very high dribbling and speed and crossing, really poor finishing. wide players in FM are just a joke, they beat their man then wait for them to catch up just to slam a cross into them. the amount of times hes in space to cross and doesn't makes me wanna rage quit. CM/a + DLF/a hasnt been much better but + PF/a or AF has created more chances and penetration, maybe i need a truly world class DLF/a to make it work. im using play down right to open up a cross field switch to the LW who has gets forward whenever, gets in box, breaks offside trap, and my RCM and RB both have +14 passing, technique, and likes to switch ball.
  10. bell is a wonderkid but not a standout yet, gonzalez lacks dribbling and strength.
  11. tried it for a few games and still can't really create much. main issue i think is the lack of players attacking the box in the final third with the DLF offering himself as a passing option instead of being a goal scoring threat. if i want to keep playing a DLF, im guessing playing a CM/a or Mez/a instead of a Mez/s is my only option for more penetration in the final third cause my winger is purely just a dribbly boy
  12. mid table side, striving for Europe. nothings really clicking. usually we manage some nice passing to progess the ball forward then someone decides to punt it or play some non existent hollywood pass to nobody. we've only score from set pieces in 8 games against mostly similar sides and a couple goals from long balls behind while playing with an AF. tried CM/a RCM and DLP on support in a cup game against a smaller, we managed to create more but we were pushing more bodies forward and im thinking that would get punished in the league.
  13. another game filled with non sensical plays; keeper throwing the ball back to the opposition, first time long shots from FAAAR out, CBs ignoring open midfielders, clearing for no apparent reason, 6 jumping 5 strength striker winning headers against our CBs, but this last one just made me rage quit - throw-in at opposition's corner flag, my player throws it directly back to their player for a counter, my right CB decides to rush all the way across...
  14. they seem like they don't know how to play in certain games. when the tactic works, it works, when it doesnt, it's like watching kids play football. it's hard to explain. in the "good" games, the same player in a similar scenario would make the "logical" play whereas in the "bad" games he would do something that doesn't make sense such as clearing when under no pressure, not passing to the next logical player and instead go for a bad long pass, getting into crossing situations then making a long pass back to the DM, high agg and bravery stopper CB stepping away from a long ariel ball to let the opposition ST control it, throw-ins directly back to the opposition etc etc.
  15. 3-0 against a mid table side 1-1 labored against another mid table side 6-2 against a top 6 side 0-3 amateur performance against a mid table side 4-0 against a relegation battle side 1-0 two total highlights against a relegation side it has just been a yo-yo of performances. playing entertaining football, making logical plays in one game to absolute duds, making literally illogical plays the next game. similar scenarios in either game but result in the opposite plays.
  16. i've tried many hours and haven't been able to recreate it in FM21. the new xbox version with it's needless league limit cap on PC is hot garbage or else i'd be playing FMT22. now that you've mentioned it, i notice it far more often and its pissing me off so much lol
  17. doesn't IF provide more penetration and is more of goal scoring threat than an IW? how about the no chances part of the tactic? i took off work ball into box, ticked pass into space because i was seeing a lot games where we lacked a final incisive pass but my players are still keen on passing it sideways outside their box and hanging on to possession or when it goes one of the wingbacks, they'll wait for the opposition to defender to close them down then smack a cross into them. this is what we're playing this season. we over perform against top 4-6 sides but it's the same against everyone else. make our way to the final third and just keep passing the ball around outside.
  18. something recurring is that my RW who has 15 teamwork with no PPM likes to dribble diagonally across the pitch to where the LW is, bypassing every passing option.
  19. here is one of my favorite tactics from FM22 that does not work at all in FM21. same team, league, similar players (some same players too), same PPMs. (just cant remember if i had counter-press or counter ticked and if i had prevent short GK on, i tried all variations but it didn't make a difference) in FM22 it's silky smooth 1 touch passing, in FM21 its hot trash.
  20. well, that sucks. I'm a Touch player and they've killed it off in 22, the Xbox version is pretty trash, and the above is a huge difference between the games. i might have to switch back to full fat FM after 6 years. unrealistically easy in FM22 I'd say
  21. why do i have such a hard time in FM21 when FM22 is such a walk in the park? how big of a difference is there between the versions where the exact same tactic with very similar players/team/league fails in one but is a huge success in the other?
  22. before posting, we were crushing it most games. now it's almost every other game, no one's willing to make that final pass behind. defensive sides. as soon as we score and/or they decide to open up a bit to try and score then its smooth sailing for us from there. i tend to switch my RCM to a CMa mid game if we don't find a goal.
  23. i've got my team playing pretty much the way i want them to for the most part which is quick pass and move plays, everyone's got plays one two PPM. the issue im facing in some games is that no one's willing to make the final pass. i'll have a couple players on the shoulders of the opposition defenders anticipating a through but my CMs, who have tries killer balls, continue to make short passes instead of trying a through ball, or even worse spread the ball out wide to a fullback (not a short pass) who lofts a cross (not a low cross), neither of which aligns with the TIs. the tactic is wonderful in games where they actually play through balls behind in the final third. i already took work ball into box off.
  24. much confusion such wow so if i wanna play at whatever shorter passing and normal tempo is at balanced but on a higher mentality, how would i do that? just eye ball it in game when there are so many other variables?
