    Season 2031...

Firstly lets get Champions League out of the way.

Playing big games so early in our season is a killer. I tried to get match fitness going but it was not enough.

In truth I was disappointed, Benfica is a team we have beaten a few times during group games with playing them cold as our first 2 competitive matches of the season was too hard.

    fd0f643b400dd25d9a4263d25391319b.png

    Our best domestic season yet!

A crushing 8th title in a row, we are hunting down Rosenborg  and their 13 in a row record as we continue our quest to be the greatest side in Norwegian history.

In terms of points, we finished on 86 and this is our best yet with 28 wins and 2 draws (Molde and Brann took points from us)

The defence slipped a little bit, this likely due to new combinations and slight tweak in tactics.

This the 3rd consecutive year of zero defeats domestically, we wrapped up a 3rd straight treble winning both the Norwegian Supercup 5-1 over Lillestrom and the League Cup also over Lillstrom 4-2

    Transfers 2030...

I upgraded our CB department, added a some speed to our forwards and improved our backup keeper position. I actually let a few first team players go as well, I decided to promote a few players from within.

    Players IN...

    b7d702c82d1d984847c887e51dc087a8.png

    76f7f6b85c24b6b1e81f6fb568a79ff7.png

3 players were signed for the first team and the rest were sent to the under 19s for development or loans.

    Martin Mikkelsen...

One of the better centre backs in the region, he signed for a large fee as well. I dont love his height or jumping reach but hes an upgrade to our ranks.

    d25b14073cb86c2da54172086be2050e.png

    Carsten Geertsen...

I loved his pace, I think he can be a real weapon for our side. I had my eye on him for close to 3 years but was never able to get him because they valued him very high. This window he was unhappy and finally was able to make a deal happen. I think he can be the long term star player for the side.

    e5ce0732bad2cb85e1d64f8dd817903a.png

    Jon Arne Rasch...

Another upgrade for the squad, a quality backup who was happy to sign as a backup as well. He ended up playing a few games this season as well and produced when asked.

Players promoted to the first team...

All 3 are ready to play straight away and all 3 did end up playing a few games this season as well. I really like Michael Topshoj, he looks great in games and is a big body and looks strong in the DM position.

I am going to retrain Tomi Korhonen to play on the right back position, hes an inverted left fullback now.

    Players Out...

Notable players out were:  Gustav Palmqvist, Felix Ytternes, Fredrik Biseth-Owe, Sandre Hove, MIke Williams and lastly Henrik Soderberg

All were good players but most of them wanted to leave and I felt I could upgrade all of them and it took our net spend to around 10 million.

    Champions League 2030...

    A mixed bag this campaign..

Again we had to do the long run to the group stages, it was in real danger with the 3-4 away loss to Celtic in the final playoff but we blew them away 3-0 in the home leg.

During the group campaign we were hot and cold again. The home form was key with 2 wins and a draw but away we got blow away by Juventus and Feyenoord. Thankfully we maintained our form vs Atletico and we pipped them into 2nd place in the group.

Sadly this is probably were it ends for this Champions League Campaign as we draw against City in the First Knockout Round...

I will try and line up a large number of friendlies before we take on City in an attempt to build up match fitness and form

    Squad Review 2030...

    Goalkeepers..

Rotated both keepers this season, with new signing Jon Arne Rasch being our cup keeper. He finished with the higher rating as well.

    Defenders...

I have 4 quality CBs to use but leaned on 3 of them with Vitor being the odd man out. Hes still a little raw to use but has huge potential.  Will continue with the same defence as this season, I will however sell on Aittola from RB and promote a player again.

    Midfielders...

No complaints again from our wingers Osterdahl, Haroarson and Lahtinen and sadly Jadma didn't end up getting the games I thought he would. I loved Topshoj and Amtoft in the middle of the park, they play well together and have big future for the club.

    Attackers...

Main man Geelmuyden was at it again this season, we slotted away another 33 goals this season as he continues to lead the line. I also then rotated Fischer and Geertsen as his main partner up front with 4 choice Dalsgaard also adding a few games but not many goals.

For the time being, I dont see any changes needed here as I will continue to use Geelmuyden as the main attacker and his support cast are also doing well. I want to groom Dalsgaard to play more as hes got huge potential but so far hes not shown it. I could also move him down to Midfield as hes natural in the MC spot as well.

    Season 2030...

A nice welcome back season for me as the manager of Tromso, we secure the domestic treble yet again and in back to back years.

In the league, it was another comfortable season. We make it back to back league seasons without a defeat.

    Squad Review 2030...

    Goalkeepers...

Kim Scheele Moe maintained his status as the number 1, this will be the case for the next 7 years I would imagine at least. Hes by far the best keeper in the region and is perfectly solid.

I will be looking to move on Felix Ytternes from the back up spot, for no reason other than hes too good to be wasted here and has been unhappy about it for 2 years or so.

    Defenders...

A few players here didnt fill me with great confidence, its a shame we are so strong domestically because I can only judge on European games. I will be looking to make 2-3 changes in this area. Long time CB pairing of Hove and Palmqvist will be sold and I am going to review the fullbacks available and see if we can upgrade those as well.

I have a pipeline of talent in the under 19s that can help us as well, some are ready to move into the first team squad.

    Midfielders...

We have devestating and world class quality and potential in our wing ranks and they are so key and vital to our success. Both left wingers are truly world class, Haroarson and Osterdahl added 45 odd goals between them this season and thats more than I can ever ask of them.

On the right, I am working to bring out the same returns from Lahtinen and his backup Jadama and while the out put was not as prolific, there was 30 goals from right wing as well.

The centre of midfield is the biggest question mark in the squad, I use a DM who basically is just a cleaner and does what I ask, so thats ok for now. I will probably move on one of the options we have so either Biseth-Owe or Efremov and promote a player who looks better.

The other is meant to be a playmaker, Amtoft and Bentzen are my guys here. Bentzen actually struggles a little on the ratings but did give us 6 goals and 12 assists and Amtoft chipped in 11 goals and 14 assists.

    Attackers....

I have a solid 4 forwards to use for 2 positions and I dont see any reason to make a change here as all 4 seem to be good and we score plenty of goals. This season did see our goal machine Geelmuyden go backwards in his output but he still scored 30 goals and is still good enough to be our leading man for now and is basically already a club legend.

Next season I plan to give more games to both Fischer and Dalsgaard, they are the future forward pairing for the club.

    Champions League 2030...

I dont remember why and when but Norway lost its automatic group stage allocation this season and we had to start our campaign very early this year in the playoffs

We managed a comfortable campaign to make the group stages, not sure how did lose to Dundalk but we did enough in the first leg to not have to worry and we had an entertaining tie vs Kiev to qualify

For the group stages proper, we had familiar opponents Atletico Madrid and a chance to get redemption for the First Knockout round defeat last season and did that! We beat them both home and away.  Our only 2 defeats came to Chelsea as I would have predicted because they are a far superior side.

    50e2db24d269ac216945660416da12d4.png

We will take on Benfica early in 2031, a decent chance to push into the next round.

    Status Tracking...

Will add this at the end of each season, its a nice way to keep track of achievements.

    Champions League First Knockout 2030...

We gave it a good shout against Atletico, in the end their class got them through. Barely.

This was by far our best attempt at the Champions league, we finished top of the group and and lost only 1 game (2-1 away to Atletico)

    Manager update..

its been a few months since I played FM, I had some real world to deal with but I started getting the itch again. I am thinking I will possibly pick up where I left off in December and continue my quest to win the Champions League in Tromso and using players only from Scandinavian countries.

I will probably change posting approach for now, the domestic front is fairly straight forward so will likely only provide 2 updates per season (Middle and End) and I will focus more posts in tactics, players and European matches

    December 29...

    Unbeaten season is complete!

Easily dispatched Valerenga to unsure we didn't lose a game all season and then we win the cup to secure the domestic treble.

Also, we remained unbeaten in the group stages of the Champions League, we will take on Atletico Madrid in the next round.

Fantastic effort all around for the team

    cec4fa3366ba95f0430c920f580e78cf.png

Well down on the 102 goals score last season but we also conceded half as many, all my goals were met this season.

Fredrikstad will face a playoff to try and stop being the yoyo club of Norway. It would ideal if they could stay up as having the bigger named clubs around makes it look better overall. I also was thinking if I got bored of Tromso, I would head there and save them.

    b8472faefe9ab6027ba2c9430d76441c.png

Atletico are a familiar team, we have played them 4 times and yet to win so far but we are now also a far better team the previous games we have played them.

    f5c939113dea072ea30d22b2e78ce956.png

    Goalkeepers...

Nothing different this season, I continued with Kim Scheele Moe as the number 1, still only 22 and should be the number 1 for many years (pending a super regen coming through)

I may look at selling Felix Ytternes, hes too good for a number 2 spot and I have a decent enough alternative in the youth ranks.

    Defence...

The biggest change in defence saw Juli Viktorsson become a major fixture at the back, he played the most games and both Hove and Palmqvist were used on rotation next to him.

Also Patrik Larsson was promoted from youth setup, he will serve as the 4th choice but actually looks like a major prospect and could get more games next season.

All 4 of the wingbacks performed well in their "lockdown" roles, I will probably be looking to move on Emil Palsson and promote a player to replace him.

    Midfield...

Both of our DMs played well, still no clear favourite with either Bisteh-Owe or David Efremov but the latter does seem to like to score goals despite it not being anywhere near his job description.

I will be selling both Edvard Tagseth and Ronningen Jorgensen, I have no need for either anymore and there is better players in the under 19s who can fill in when needed. I will being using both Amtoft and Bentzen more heavily next season as our playmakers.

Outside, our dynamic wing duo of Erik Osterdahl and Juha Lahtinen were again superb for me, contributing not only assists as required but a fair few goals as well. I am also very lucky to have a 3rd very good winger in the squad, Bjorki Por Haroarson also added 11 goals and 15 assists.

    Attack...

Herman Geelmuyden led the way again for Tromso, just missing out on back to back 50 goal seasons but he also played a lot less games this year.

His partner was mostly Henrik Soderberg, he chipped in 23 goals and also used on rotation was Danny Ziegler and youth prospect Kim Fischer. I like Fischer actually, hes a big tall and strong player so he gives us another style of player to use up front. Its for this reason that Danny Ziegler will be sold in the next window.

    November 29...

Beating Juventus away is one of the results of the save, the Italian giants are a superb side and take 4 points from the 2 games against them is a great step forward.

Followed that up with a home draw to Benfica, we are now unbeaten in 5 games of this season Champions League and only the last game away to Dinamo is left

There is 3 more games to go in this season, 1 more in the league vs Valerenga and I need to win to complete the unbeaten season. We will then play Stabeak in the Cup Final and try to win the domestic treble and then lastly we travel to Croatia to take on Dinamo Zagreb and look to secure top spot in the group.

    September 29...

Tromso hit the road for their first match of the Champions League this season, we came away with surprising but nice victory over Benfica.

Also in August we had the semi final of the Cup, knocking out Haugsland this time. I want to win the cup again this year, its been a few since we have tried for the domestic treble. Stabeak will be our opponent in the final.

Another 3 routine wins in the league, Molde did make us work for it however with only a penalty and late goal secured that win

    547513b74a900d2b9731dad45ad442cb.png

The win over Molde did secure title  7 in a row.

Just 5 to go now and we can equal the 13 in a row from Rosenborg. It seems so so far away............

    October 29...

Well well well...back to back wins in the Champions League? and a 6-1 thumping that we are not on the end of.

Then a draw with Juventus! That was a very entertaining game as well, not many teams can score more than 1 goal against our suffocating defence.

    abe5bdffda6b3ab887d1788b93e94dc6.png

After 3 games, we are sitting on top of the table!

It appears we should already pretty much confirm a top 3 spot now as well as I assume we should at least win the return game vs Dinamo Zagreb.

    b8472faefe9ab6027ba2c9430d76441c.png

4 Games to go now, I am really trying to get the unbeaten season and a bonus for single digits in the goal FOR column.

    July 29...

    Another dominating month in July

Tromso scored 18 goals and conceded only the single goal.

Already 15 points clear, basically over at the halfway stage now.

    August 29...

4 more games in August, again our rock defence is holding firm and concede just the single goal again this month.

The quest is on now to go unbeaten AND keep the goals FOR column in single digits.

64 and 6 at the moment..

    10 games to go!

    Champions League...

Interesting draw, I am feeling positive about this group.

I have played all 3 teams before as well, so we have some experience. I obviously need to get the 6 points from Dinamo and then hopefully take 2-3 points from Benfica.

    June 29...

In June we had to face the only side who beat us last season, Bodo/Glimt went on to beat Tromso 3 times last year.

We again meet in the Cup so its another 3 games against them again this season.

Thankfully we have exercised some of the demons and thrashed them in the cup and then again just 4 days later. Was glad to shake that monkey from our backs.

The draw to Haugesund was disappointing as they are not a good team but at least it was a 0-0 draw.

    37c694171c0fe235284f4cb4d2e4f956.png

Some our performances to date have just been perfect, I wanted to suffocate the opponents and that is exactly what is happening.

Most sides are resorting to long range shots just to break through our wall.

The real tests are to come however, we need to show improvement on the big European stages.

    March/April 2029...

The debut of our new more narrow and compact formation started well, we dispatched Stromgodset for yet another Mesterfinalen trophy.

We also blasted Ranheim 9-0 and a 12-0 win the cup, our biggest wins to date. We concede just the single goal in the opening 4 games of the year.

    670c51a6356c5e84cb044cbee3968d64.png

    May 2029...

May brought 4 wins and a draw in the league, the defence is still looking good and our attacking output is basically on par as last year.

Asker surprised us, they are the first team this season to score 2 goals. I decided I wanted to win the cup again this year so we are using a fairly strong team even in the early games.

    =120e48971334ebd4aae65e8218c45bf8.png

9 games in and we have 8 wins, 1 draw while scoring 29 goals and concede only 3.

Main man Geelmuyden has continued his form of last season, hes on track for another 40-50 goals this season. Hes in his prime now so his powers are at full peak.

    Pre-season 2029...

The upcoming season is my 10th as Tromso manager, I want to make it the best ever season as well to celebrate. The big question is will Tromso break Rosenborgs record 26 titles BEFORE winning a European title?

A small recap of the last 10 years.

    15 trophies...

7 x league wins (6 in the Eliteserien and 1 in the Obos-Ligaen)

6 x Mesterfinalen (Cup and League winner VS match basically the same as a the Community Shield)

2 x  NM Cupen Cups (league or FA knockout style)

    Europe adventures...

Europa Conference League Semi Finals - 2023/2024

    Europa League 2nd Knockout Round - 2026/2027

    Europa League Quarter Finals 2027/2028

    The club before...and after

    Stadium...was 6,859 and now 19,500

Training Facilities... was Good and is now State of the Art

Youth Facilities... was Great and is no State of the Art

Junior Coaching... was Good and is now Exceptional

Youth Recruitment... was Excellent and is now Exceptional

    The season ahead...

    Transfers IN...

For the first team, not a single transfer was made but I did sign a few players that are added to our talent pipeline in the youth teams.

I dont expect any of these guys will make the step up this season but I will asses again at the half way point.

    10e5d9b946b570246ac7fa231fa6b5a0.png

    Transfers OUT...

I didn't want Sabri Benzarti to leave but he refused to sign again for us and left on a free. Its shame as he did cost 3m only a couple years back and was close to moving into the first team set up.

Wilmer Albrektsson was moved on, I had 3 DMs and wanted that to be only 2..it was a simple decision really.

I also let Axel Wallenberg leave, he had been a great servant for the club but it was time to move onto a younger and better player in Mike Williams, he was promoted last season and has impressed.

The biggest name to leave was Filip Nilsson, I never liked him but he was a decent player for the club over a number of years. The 12m we received was too good to turn down, more so when I have a few every exciting talents on the verge of being promoted into the first team.

    e2055efa18d5056fcb1b8c6eed31773f.png

    2029 Squad...

Its a smaller squad this season, I will just tap into the under 19s if we get stuck on injuries and fatigue.

There was one promoted player for this season

Ebou Jadama - Hes got rapid speed but wouldn't be able to jump and head a ball to save his life.  My plan is to use him for this season from the bench and see if we can just utilise his speed to break down games

    95b05b0bfc4e46d48a258b002505c555.png

    Tactic Changes...

I've also made changes to our tactic, its quite the odd setup but I want to give it a try.

The idea is the low block from the WBs and DM and these allow the attacking wingers to move forward with freedom. I also am sick of the AI wingers destroying me, I wanted to block those as best as possible, I have asked the Wingbacks to sit more narrow as well, this should help form a block of 3.

I ditched the DLP from the middle this season as well, I've noticed the Roaming Playmaker appears to be more mobile and will track back deeper and also get to the edge of the box to support the attack so the RPM to me looks more like a DLP/B2B hybrid.

Our attack was devastating last season and I didn't want to touch that too much but one change I want to make is swapping the F9 to the PF. I am hoping this will cause us to win more balls back quicker when we lose it up top and then switch on the attack ASAP.

Lastly, I moved to a more narrow approach when in possession. This was again done to help us appear to be more tight and compact and also trying to see if we can suck the opponent into the middle more, where we will have strength in numbers. If it works, then I think it will then create more space for the wingers to run or cross with hopefully limited players near him

    e34c7dac45c04df1695f8d45583b3ead.png

    Staff Changes...

Off the field is where I have made the most major changes to the side.

After 9 good years together, I decided to sack long time Assistant Manager Sami Hyypia. The Finish legend and I had started to disagree on things, he was also making the players upset with his media out bursts. I also thought I needed to get a better man to be my number 2 and help us take the next step.

So I welcomed Jose Mourinho's long time prodigy, I wanted to learn some of the Mourinho Ball tactics

    Welcome Joao Sacramento!

    fb19ee6b2664ac69e23c01f3be4fc4c0.png

I also hired another 2 high profile staff members to help us move the club forward, I wanted experience and I wanted some flair...

Welcome Julio Baptista and Neil Critchley!

Both bring loads of experience, Julio brings the flair and on field experience and Neil will try and show us the ways of Jürgen Klopp and what he learnt under him at Liverpool

I was very unhappy with our last 3-4 intakes on the Youth Setup and decided to make a change here as well

    Welcome Nils-Ole Schwermann!

Hes a regen staff member who is god like is almost everything. I would have liked him as my assistant manager and coach as well. Infact hes got better stats than my manager profile so he could just take over my job as well

Yep, I learned that the hard way the first time but after that I just loaded up on the friendlies. I found I had to booked them myself as the assistant would never get enough or time them well for the Euro games

The big games keep coming thick and fast! Cupen semi final gets the huge month underway. Bodo/Glimt who we have failed to beat since my time in charge provide us with a chance to win the title at the Skagerak, if not won there am sure it will be won between either Haugesund or Sarpsborg ,but its football anything can happen. Fiorentina arrive at the Skagerak what a huge occasion for the club.

Gibraltar National League - Championship Group - Season 2031/32

    We have finally done it!

    image.png.905b63acaf4bd37175a20f8a00dacf77.png

After coming so close, but falling so far short on a number of occasions, the 2031/32 season was the one that dreams are made of. Closing out the season with a 5-0 win against Europa, we have now played 21 games in the league and not conceded a single goal.

    image.png.287c0490754a2ee14b994b97f6e0488c.png

Lincoln Red Imps fell apart in the second half of the season, taking just seven points from their final 10 games. Despite being the worst performers in the Championship Group, they still managed to hold on to second place and a Champions League spot after Europa Point stumbled to a draw on the final day of the season. Speaking of Europa Point, it truly was a fairytale season for them - in their first time making the Championship Group, they almost managed to pull off a huge upset and finish in second place overall, but it just wasn't to be.

    image.png.c3216e89a02ba2625a354a2ae0479fc0.png

It was a great second half of the season against some of the best that Gibraltar has to offer, and we have worked exceptionally hard to get results with some combination of our "second string" players.

Goal Scorers - Gibraltar National League - Season 2031/32

    Joe McGlynn - 15

    Craig Galliano - 12

    Alberto Ruiz - 8

    Paul Shields - 7

    Carlos Romero - 6

    Filippo Di Biase - 5

    Screve Zola -  5

    Matthieu Muller - 4

    Filippo Ballarini - 2

    Kemeron - 2

    Matt Watson - 2

    David Bond - 1

    Kegs Chauke - 1

    Ryu Earl - 1

    Chad Haines - 1

    Rocco Sarcone - 1

    Own Goals - 1

How you didn't concede a single goal is nothing short of a miracle, not just because you have the best players in the league but no penalty? no free kicks or corner goals. Outstanding.

What is your tactical set up?

Didn’t realise you got 70m for mini Haland. First season been good for me. Then went in a huff cause I wouldn’t loan him out even tho he was in and out the first team

I didn't have that problem with him, he was thrown straight in the first team at 19

Yeah 70m, I feel like I could have got more as well because they snapped at that price pretty easily.

    November/December  28...

Another loss to Bodo/Glimt, its somewhat amazing they beat me 3 times this season and all 2-1, infact they played well in all 3 games too.

Unbelievable. Lost only 3 games to Norwegian sides and all 3 to our biggest rivals.

We lost another very tight game to Inter as well, confirming our 4th place in the group. they scored with a corner from a central defender as well. We probably need to work on those...

We did manage the single victory, in the nothing game of the group but needed a 91st minute goal to secure it.

    d58f20540c8655d2fc2e67ad50aa07ec.png

In a way, this was maybe our best campaign in the Champions League,  we only won the single game but we were competitive in all the matches.

If we can just have a little more luck, defend corners better (that cost us 3 goals this campaign) and take the limited chances we get, we should be in a better place next season

    40e09690287f91fa7538b266885bc7ad.png

Other than the 2 defeats, our league form was sensational and I dont have much to complain about.

We scored 102 goals, conceded just 19 and finished with 78 points and all are records for the Eliteserien

    182f96e719ce4e2788ecc3fb4d1c159a.png

    Tromso 2028 Squad...

    Goalkeepers...

Both were good this season, I tried to rotate in Ytternes in more games but he only ended up with the 10 games again. He does appear to be seemingly ok at the moment with that.

In surprising news, we have another in our under 19s, he came through our academy and is now 18 and spent last season on loan with Lillestrom and hes just been called into the Norway squad for their upcoming games...One to watch.

    Defenders...

Hove again was the main player picked here and was again decent for Tromso and his usual partner was Palmqvist.

We started the season with 2 new right fullbacks, both played well and did enough for me to not worry about this for the next window. I was disappointed to see Palsson didn't average in the 7s but he seemed to play ok and did add a few assists. I changed the role for both positions from wingback to fullback this season as well so I was not expecting the same attacking output of the previous years.

Im trying to decide what to do with this area of the pitch, I started with 3 specialised CBs, then promoted the 4th option in Viktorsson to give us cover. I actually dont really need 4 of them, we have Biseth-Owe who can cover as a 4th option if needed. I suspect that we will probably let somebody move on from this area.

    Midfield...

I was too over reliant on both Bjarki Por Haroarson and Erik Osterdahl on opposite wings, we had hardly any cover for them and they played fatigued in many games.

Tagseth is actually a viable left winger option, he played well when asked and Juha Lahtinen was added 9 goals and 5 assists as well but we need to get more from these areas and I need to add cover.

In the middle, well the DM does his job and I used a few players Effremov was the most used, Albrektsson and Biseth-Owe also played there. I will be moving on Albrektsson, hes not a bad player but 3 needs to become 2.

My idea to have a DLP in the middle of the park who would run the show was a mild success, I still found the players bypassing him and none of the players did REALLY well. I also have too many options here, so 1 and maybe 2 of Jorgensen, Bentzen, Amtoft or Skibsed will be departing the club in the window. I am also going to try a role change any try a the Roaming Playmaker and see if that helps to unlock the middle of the park.

    Attack...

This season I used 2 up front and it paid off, Geelmuyden scored a huge 54 goals. He was unstoppable at times but was also supported well by Henrik Solderberg and Danny Ziegler. Together they scored 88 goals between them all.

I cant remember ever having a forward score this many goals before, I thought I would struggle when Tjaland left us 2 seasons back but Geelmuyden has been a great little find. Hes still only 26, so I think he will only keep going and we can use the time to bring up the other younger players over the next 2-3 players.

    b5c635a219da4675fb9e160b2dd7f32a.png

Here is the season in full for Herman Geelmuyden.

Normally I wouldnt have looked a player as hes too short and I dont like his work rate for how we play but I cant really argue with the results.

He now has more goals than games for Tromso

    October 28...

Not the best month at all, in the league we knocked out another 2 unconvincing draws. Our form has dipped since our Europe campaign started, probably my fault as well for not rotating or resting enough

Lets talk about the Champions League double header vs PSG

Game 3 vs PSG - Fairly even game, they probably were better value for the win but they also scored from both their centre backs and both were from corners. This is from the side bosting Mbappe, Haaland, Fati, Havertz and Dembele

Game4 vs PSG -  Another mostly even game, they again got the win and this time scored from their terrifying front 3. Haaland scored on his return to Norway.

I am not too upset from those matches vs PSG, they are elite and we stood with them toe to toe for the most part.

We are now however on the backfoot to make it into 3rd place and play in Europe after the New Year.

    August/September 28...

We lost a game last month, we draw game this month as the first since a mini wobble are showing. We needed a late goal to salvage the draw.

To make matters worse, we then lost to Bodo/Glimt again, this time in the cup. They are the only side to look like beating us. I was actually trying to win the cup again this season and I wanted to have a treble season and it had been a couple season since we last tried and won it.

Champions League also started this month and its been a frustrating start.

Game 1 vs Inter - We outplayed them, they scored a goal in the 84th minute with just about thier only shot on goal and steal the draw

Game 2 vs Schalke -  The only other team I have managed in Fm21 so far was our opponent here. The game was very even, we edged the possession, shots and shorts on target but we gave away a penalty and they scored it to win 1-0

    Transfers...

I moved on Wallenborg, he was just continuing to ask for a move away and it was bugging me. He had moved to the backup role this season anyway and we have a fine prospect that can be promoted (as per usual)

    1439531a42581c96db9b0098170173aa.png

    Promoted Players...

Mike Williams - Will move up and be our backup left fullback. Hes a Swedish born USA national hence the most none Swedish name ever.

    51c76847bdcda6be70d62aa1899af89a.png

Also being promoted is a defender, we had some injury and fatigue issues in defence so he will add cover.

Juli Viktorsson -  He looks to be decent prospect as well, I can see him getting a few games to aid his development

    3fe20493ba2bb40ce2131a3bb63b0b19.png

Lasty, we also decided to ask the board for more seats, we had been getting close to capacity in most games and with now playing home games in Europe in Tromso we could use the extra income.

Well July is where the run came to and end and it was to our closest rival, fellow Artic club Bodo/Glimt

Still 41 is a new record, taking out the previous 33 from Rosenborg

We did bounce back and win the next 2 games so we start again on the run.

Enjoying reading this. I've just finished my first season with Tromso myself having started out with Karlstad in Sweden and then moved to Norway for the 2025 season. They finished 5th in the first Division in 2024 on my save, but my promotion odds were 1-20 so it's fair to say they've been underachieving! I don't think I share any players even with your starting squad, but have a number of high quality Norwegian newgens who I'm just about managing to hold on to! I'm hoping to challenge for European places next season as we're way too strong to only think about survival.

    Thank You!

Glad you are getting some quality regens, I am yet to hit the lottery with those, I've had to import from the other Scandinavian nations.

I dont think there is any of the original team in my squad, not for a few years now.

    AUGUST 2020 UPDATE

A very good start to the season. 9 clear at the top, playing a 4-3-3 gegenpress.

    FIXTURES AND RESULTS

won every game except draws with ull/kisa, Lillestrom ( i think) and Ranheim before suffereing a shock defeat to stjordals-blink. We bounced back with a 3-0 win with Kitolano as a false 9. We unfortunately have a concerning habit of blowing leads late in games, often to one of the opponents few shocks.

    PLAYERS

we have a very good team, with azemi and espejord the top 2 scorers in the elitsieren, Yttegard Jensen is a hero with the highest average rating, most assists, and has just generally been impressive. Our goalkeeper is a bit leaky, conceding practically every shot he faces, so I might be looking for an upgrade. Will show a screenshot of my starting XI soon.

    Transfers

    IN

1 player- Oumar diaby, mali international who came in on a free transfer in order to bring experience to a goalkeeper group where the oldest is 23. hes only played 1 game, but played well and got a clean sheet. he will probably start next game.

we also have some end-of-contract signings done from other leagues, which i will cover when they arrive

    OUT

a couple of players on free tranfers and an old player who was never going to get into the first team

I think you accidentally posted in the wrong thread mate.
