I think it's the first time it's been repeated in decades, none of the mainstream broadcasters would touch it with a bargepole today and even with the cuts and bleeps it's quite shocking. Thank you I will watch it tonight. I used to watch in sickness and in health and Jim Davidson but don't find him funny now and can see how somethings coukd say then can't say now. Gets me down sometimes. I sometimes feel low but would no way confined in him. I’m not being funny doesn’t matter what colour someone is or what country they are from or what job they have we should all respect others and if they don’t show us respect don’t go down to their level just have as little interaction with them as possible. I can’t get my head round to how my brother thinks the way he does

My brother is different to me and annoys me at times. I got no problem people having different views it just annoys me how he lives in a different world
mps claim thousands he has no problem with that but if someone claims £20 for food during school holidays he has a problem with that. I was thinking yesterday these people who want to make the world more environment friendly etc how many Range Rovers do they have and gas guzzlers 4 litre cars yesterday following the queens coffin obviously I didn’t ask my brother. Have to accept some people it’s like banging your head against the wall they won’t accept they are wrong and don’t judge on what’s right and what’s wrong they judge on who has the most money or which person is deemed to be more important

Guys regarding the football being cancelled this is just my theory not seen others mention it
Do you think it's out of respect or do you think there will be a minutes silence some will observe it some won't which could cause crowd unrest and trouble? If want show respect can observe minute or two minute silence can't think of any other reason why should cancel football

I didn't think I be upset about the Queen but when she passes away I think of my mum as she's 89 and I'm sure many others think of their families when hear news like this
I think yes she had money etc but life isn't all about money. She travelled the world didn't see grandchildren and other family members deliver their children or spend much time with them and travelled alone with Prince Philip.
It is sad but come on we are here for you but every other day when so many die from suicide, cost of living crises etc just put radio on life goes on we will cheer you up with some happy tunes. Queen dies we will put most saddest songs on radio and make it depressing for next 10 days
I rather hear nice stories like what she did for charities, the sorry about an American not knowing who she was etc that make me smile

it’s nice seeing old pics of the queen growing up and her life story etc but by the time hey finish talking about the queen we will know her better than some of our own family
as I said I don’t mind the queen or princess Diana but not keen on the rest of them but don’t wish any harm to people just because I’m not keen on them

was going to the game myself. I can’t make the next two home games as I will be working both Saturdays and can’t get time off for champions league games so will be gutted if it is postponed. We will find out later today if it is or not but I thought football would be cancelled even though I don’t think the players would be effected and it should carry on in my opinion
I must admit I didn’t think I would be that bothered if she passed away or not but got bit watery eyes hearing the news. My mum is 89 so thought of my mum and also people can say the queen had a good life seeing so many countries had money etc but throughout her life she travelled many countries working meaning she couldn’t see her family and family’s new born and children growing up . Prince Philip was he only she would spent time with because of her duties and her dad passed away at an early age
queen and princess Diane are the only ones that I liked to be honest as they connected and and understood the people

Thank you and thanks to you and Smurf for your patience and help. I think I have finally decided on the laptop and going for the one you said will do nicely. Specs are fantastic especially for the price although only 1 year warranty. I may well play football manager majority of the time but it will do the job for horizon 5, halo etc nicely too.
my only remaining uncertain is do you think it would be worth paying a bit extra or getting a model down graphics card and going for a better screen qhd 2k 500 nits? I’m guessing no but I’m not the expert that’s why I’m asking you guys 😀
Im guessing 500 nits is only important if viewing screen is bright room or outdoors in sunshine is that correct? I know the higher the number the better the screen but unsure when it would actually be useful. I know colours are meant to be brighter too.
2k screen apparently makes the txt sharper but noticeable in games but sounds might be good for football manager as that’s txt and surfing net just want reassuring that the screen is fine and go for the higher spec graphics card. I would go for the highest specs I can for two reasons one so I’m not thinking to myself oh for a little bit more I could have got that and two I want it to last without upgrading for a while
I had originally planned spending £700 to £800 but then thought I like horizon Im at my girlfriend most of the weekends if not all the weekends and when she has a knapp I can play games so might as well pay a bit more. I have series x and ps5 but I can now Game while at hers and can play football manager while she watches tv and when I’m home I can watch tv while playing football manager. I live with my elderly mum so can also chat and watch her italian tv rubbish while playing football manager

Just had a really good look today on what laptop gives more for your money etc. I am buying it for football manager but I may want to play horizon 5 when I’m not home and halo alone with fable and other Xbox games via game pass.
I read that you need 100w or more for the graphics cards to get the best out of them and the gigabyte g7 power for graphics card is quite low. I think legion 7 is great spec wise but other than screen the legion 5 is just as good with the specs being the same. I think both screens are Dolby digital but the 7 has 500 nits while the 5 has 300

This is the legion 7 yes I would like hdr etc but the legion 5 has Dolby picture but dpi is a bit less and unsure if it has hdr oh and as I stated legion 5 has 300 nits compared to 500. I don’t think those things are worth the extra £300 and I was only going to spend around 800-900 originally . I just wanted your thoughts guys before ordering one on Monday

I wasn't sure if I watch Netflix or do some gaming I would be gaming dolby vision and 4k as I seen some screens around £1400 that have dolby vision but would I notice it on a small screen and paying for the screen means might get cheaper or slower components so will stick with original idea although the Asus looks decent. I might play witcher 3 or gta game when away from console but as you say most of the time i will be playing fm while watching TV
Gigabyte has decent spec and 2 year warrenty. I was hoping it might be in a deal come black Friday

Is it worth having QHD 2k and 4K screens in a laptop? Will the writing etc be that much sharper? I have seen they cost around £1500. I was going to budget £800 for a laptop but prepared to £1200 I have to draw line somewhere as I have series x and ps5 and as I say 90% of the time will be football manager and Netflix or sky
I was going to order one today in hope arrive tomorrow so can play it at girlfriend 😂 I will wait until next week and look at some reviews as well as reviews from people who have bought them. I just wanted your opinions sorry I keep changing which laptop to go for just I keep looking as there are a lot out there and want to keep it for a number of years so want to make sure it’s the right one.
I keep looking at the gigabyte because it’s 17” and 2 year warranty but guy at work said they lost all customers database a while back so people’s purchases were not longer covered by warranty not sure how true that is but put me off a bit. I then see I can get better quality screen but it’s 15” not 17” and more powerful the laptop the hotter it will get I imagine and it’s lifetime will decrease I imagine

In terms of where to put the money, into the Processor first and foremost, and then the GPU.
A balance of them.
RAM - minimum 8gb - you can upgrade to 16 later on - 32 is not going to help that much more than 16.
SSD - fast boot times and overall operational procedures for the OS.
Thank you might order myself the 17" in one of the earlier posts for £1000. £700 or £1000 isn't much difference in price but seem to get a lot more for your money and even if it's just for football manager and watching videos it will still give me future proof. I don't think any of the battery will last long when using dedicated gpu
I saw the laptop I'm referring to has over 100dpi I thought it sounded poor compared to my phone but apparently its quite good for a laptop screen after googling it. Thank you for all your help I appreciate it.
I know I could play the game on xbox but its nice to play while watching TV and nice that's its portable so can take to girlfirend or on long coach trips once when I go football again next season. I will just need something to charge the laptop or get another battery

Thank you. I was just thinking for future proof for future football manager games and windows 11. I’m enjoying horizon 5 so possible I would play that at times. Do you think I should for 8GB ram then? I see laptops range £600-1200 just not sure what to go for. I’m trying to be patient do research rather than buy first half decent laptop. 8GB ram and on board graphics card knocks a lot off the price but I think separate card is better even if it does have effect on battery life

In terms of whether the first one is overkill, you are getting a top of the range CPU and the 17.3" screen. If you do want the larger screen, this is £100 less - the CPU isn't quite as strong, but it is still excellent and within the original max budget you stated.
Thank you that does look decent. I could spend more pay monthly as my mobile phone contract is up or buy now pay it later just don't think it’s worth buying an expensive laptop just for football manager and watching you tube and Netflix. What would your advice be? Is 8GB enough to run 14 nations with all leagues for a few years yet and windows11? If wanted laptop so can take it to girlfriend house for weekend play football manager and playing it at home while watching tv how much would you spend to have the best experience of the game meaning largest database and all the leagues at top European countries with Brazil and Argentina on top
I don’t want to save £100 then find in a year i wish I had spent the £100 more but at same time don’t want to pay more than I need to as I have both consoles if that makes sense. Thank you for your help and advice appreciate it

Just started playing Xbox version and loving it however Xbox is not very portable when visiting girlfriend so definitely looking at buying a laptop. I was debating about using it for other games but I only want it for football manager and maybe watch Netflix and other tv programs
I am running 10 nations with all the leagues on Xbox and medium database so would like maximum database and all the leagues from around 15 nations. I was thinking can I get a laptop that will give good match engine as I’m enjoying it on Xbox and give me maximum database and that many leagues from nations for around £700 or would I be looking more at around 1k? Does screen quality make a big difference for football manager and viewing Netflix etc?

Southgate got the England job not because of what he achieved at club manager level but because he is English and people didn't want a non English manager
A decent manager would have won last year's euros and maybe the world cup. England's problem is get rid of Southgate who do you get in and England are not blessed with great managers at the moment.
Howe won't leave Newcastle at the moment so can't think of anyone else and certainly not with European experience. I'm not sure lampard has done any worse than Southgate at club level. I can recall Southgate reaching Europa league final I think but other than that he doesn't have much experience other than working in the background with England set up
England fans want exciting football and win every game. It's rare a team plays exciting football and wins tournaments especially international level
