  1. Not sure how to explain this one but I keep on getting transfer offers (many for many youth players) for my youth players but I do not have an option to make them ”unavailable for transfer”, I can only change the loan option. this is quite annoying because I have to reject each offer by itself.

attaching screenshot - if I can’t change the transfer status I shouldn’t get transfer offers either.

Yea but you typically simulate a day or two at a time in normal play and the differences is probably a few seconds at best. I havent noticed any real differences at all in actual play on my ipad mini 5

You might not notice it, but you’ll still spend more time. As you say, if you actually play the game, 15 additional mins x season are negligible.

If you play 50 games, that’s about 20 additional seconds x game - up to each and everyone if that’s worth it :)

What's the speed of the game like?

I simulated (went on holiday) a full season on ipad pro 2019:

    - save/db from above (50k) took 20min.

    - 3 countries limit (IT,DE,UK) with the top two leagues for each nation, took under 5 mins (4'30").

so as expected the diff is quite noticeable.. maybe the best thing would have to have 5 countries with top 2 or 3 leagues, that should offer a good balance in terms of time and players.

Thx but how/where do I put it on the ipad? It's a .bin file, above there's talk of an .FMV file?

Edit: I figured it out, thanks :D Only annoying thing is the 0-0 screen when simulating a game, but it's OK. Also, does anyone know if this will get rid of the 30 season limit?

    This forum haha.

I understand that lowest spec has to be common denominator but would it not be possible to have a device filter so you can choose high spec with higher performance? Otherwise the game will always be held back by legacy tech. And gaming is surely about pushing the limits.

This basically means the 3 nations limit will never be removed/increased because low-spec android tablets are here to stay (that's so obvious, I feel silly typing it out) :D

If cross-play is the issue it would be nice to have a "disable cross-play" when playing touch, wouldn't that solve this?

Also, related to low-specs: is there still the 30 seasons limit?

I agree with you in terms of the elements that are in the game, but in terms of the optimization that we users would expect, I think the game just stalled. This is particularly evident in the android and ios version.

In 2015 when the FMT first came out to android and Ios we had a 3 nations limit and a 30 season limit. 5 years later we are with the same limits.

There is also a clear lack of optimization of the game to be played to truly in a "touch" environment, with buttons and drop menus too small to be touched with your fingers.

So, there is a huge work that can be done to really make FMT a "touch" game.

Totally agree with you, I'm not really sure I'd play FMT on my ipad if I hadn't the apple pencil + I find the limits a bit ridiculous too: just give the players the option to add more leagues and seasons, flagging how it impacts the speed (as it's already doing)..

Here is the link to the new features in English for you: https://www.footballmanager.com/features/fm21-touch-new-headline-features

I'm unaware of a features comparison, but essentially FM Touch focuses on Tactics and Transfers. The Touch version strips out Dynamics, Team Talks and the vast majority of media interaction.

In fairness to SI, it's hard to add features to FM Touch without moving away from it being a stripped back version of the main game. All the fundamentals are included already.

    Thanks for the link!

Absolutely, I guess I got a bit "scared" when "new celebrations" are called out as a main new feature.

    Can't wait for Dec1st!

  8. Hi,

While I can't seem to find it in English (for sure my bad), the German page of FM lists these four as the most important new features in FMT 2021.

Out of 4, two are mostly graphics related, one is celebration related and one is match engine related - is that really it?

    - spectacular game day (graphics)
    - better results with data (mostly graphics)
    - celebrate your victories (graphics, you can now see how players get their medal)
    - our most immersive match engine (data)

    https://www.footballmanager.com/de/features/fm21-touch-die-wichtigsten-neuen-features

With only 3 days to the release, Is there an overview that compares the features for each version? People who buy this game are all about data, so even if the list would be huge I'm sure it would be useful to make an informed decision on which version to buy.

Because the top end prices for players value listed in the game tops out about £85m-£90m

I'm assuming he's up in the 100s because that's how much he was purchased for - the game basically sees that as 'overpaying' and then reduces the price down to what it thinks 'normal' is for a player of that quality.

Has always been like this in FM.

I think you might be right generally speaking but I actually paid him 60m 5 seasons ago, when he was 20-21, so not sure if that's the case (see screenshot). His value climbed year after year since then and has been +100 for at least two-three seasons.

Why do you keep changing the asking price?

Anyway, value is pretty meaningless. If you don't want to sell a player, it doesn't matter what it is, and if you do, you'll set your own price anyway. I rarely take any notice of it.

I'm trying to sell him to make money since he's contract will run out this season. I keep adjusting the asking price to what the value is since I guess no team will spend 120 when his value is only 80? But maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way then? What do you use as an indicator when selling players?

  10. What's going on here!

My 26 year old elite attacking midfielder lost 30% of his value over just 5 months? He lost about 4 points spread across all skills (most of them irrelevant, like "long throws") and that results in a -30% value?

Something started looking shady so I started taking screenshots, you'll have to click and scroll through the images to be able to make something out - the date is in the top right corner, the value in the middle.
