Instead of playing attacking how about fight them at your own game? Push your LOE back, give them space and they'll get complacent. You have to open yourself up a little to reap the rewards.

LOE to standard or slightly higher with a normal/low defensive line= more space for them to play in so they'll up their game thats when you want a quick tempo game to throw them off and play it quicker. If they get cocky go direct and run at defenders/pass into space, usually works against lesser teams. OR find a formation that can push from the top and belittle their possession- 424/ 343 etc.

That’s how my style has been, usually stripping them of possession and hitting them on counters however I know want to dominate possession but I can’t seem to do that when they’re passing freely at the back regardless of my press? Maybe I do need to drop the lines and bring them out more but I just feel if I do that they’ll be more comfortable passing in they’re own half.

  2. This tactic is great won me the league 2 seasons in a row with 1 champs league however keeping possession is a problem especially against teams who play on cautious or defensive. I’ve tried to counter this with pushing higher defensive line and higher loe but the possession is not consistent enough, I have a split block press with 5 players the front 5 and I’ve tried shorter passing and lower tempo etc, can anyone help me dominate possession and yes I’m aware some of you may tweak but I’m up for suggestions the league is already done and dusted :)

  3. Before anything I’m overachieving and I know you don’t fix what ain’t broken however I’d like to see what changes would be made to this tactic. Just got promoted last season and just had a good run here to push me up the table. In terms of play style I’m kind of a possession guy and I’d like my team to keep the ball well but also play that risky pass when it’s on, a lot of my attacks is either we play the winger through and he doesn’t square the ball! Or inside forward cuts in sometimes will play it to greenwood or to a midfielder who then plays it out to my wingback for the him to play the square ball. Now we’re unbelievably inconsistent right now and we’re getting peppered at goal and attacks are inconsistent we’ll either create a ton or struggle to create any. My question here is are my roles and duties well balanced and what mentality should I play for the big games I’m usually positive at home and balanced away depending on opposition I don’t go lower than balanced unless I’m literally trying to hold out for a lead. Thanks in advance.

On your first post about buying a computer - copied above - you said you were looking for at 4gb RAM laptops as this is all you can afford.

Now you come back and say you can buy an Apple Mac?

Apple Mac start at about £1000

If you spend £1000 on a laptop you'll get a far superior computer for Football Manager.

Of course, if you still want this Apple Mac then go for it.

Yeah I’m a student now so I get student finance so I can afford to get loose a little bit lol. So Apple Mac is superior for it? Something I most likely will go for but is there any cheaper option.

    Thanks

  5. Ok so I apologise if I’m on the wrong thread before hand. So I’m about to purchase a laptop after a few years of playing football manager touch, however as a student I’m on a budget so I can’t exactly splash out on a expensive laptop. Most of the laptops around my budget range have 4gb ram is this good enough to run football manager or no? I also have no idea about specs and so on with laptops so thanks for all you guys help in advance.
