Decided to start a new save as not really played the game much lately, won the domestic treble first season but only made the CL quarters.
Only 3 incomings during January with one being a loan, Obrador was signed by Edu as have him in charge of finding future prospects. No outgoings though have just sold Nketiah to Chelsea for £51m, the idiots.
Have a couple of others I want to move on but may look at the younger players we have rather than spending loads myself but not sure yet.

Season 4 done and we was superb in winning the Prem and CL, not so good in the domestic cups though where we made the FA Cup 5th Rnd and runners up to City in the Carabao.
Probably looking to upgrade on Raya in the summer and maybe Balde at LWB but have been thinking of retraining Martinelli there to get him in the team regular. Have also been trying to sell Smith-Rowe for 18 months as requested a transfer, but no one will bid for him due to his wage demands.

Wait until they start signing players in the summer, on mine they've brought in -
Season 2 - Gnabry
Season 3 - Raphinha, A Silva (Benfica), Bellingham
Season 4 - Musiala
Obviously been a few others too but these are the bigger names, spent £688m with £273m coming in. I've spent £720m but have brought in £649m and only have £37m left in the bank!

I'm in April in Season 1. No transfers on. The only business was to sell Cedric to the Saudi's in Jan, as well as loaning out Nelson to Newcastle because he kept moaning about game time.
Started well but we are fading. City have knocked us out of both the FA Cup and League Cup (and we play them in the CL quarter finals).
The League is really tight. We drew twice with City and we lost at Anfield. We have Liverpool at home next (Saliba suspended).
The front three have been great. Odegaard very good. Raya spent a few months out injured and cost us both cup games v City so he won't be signed. Zinchenko spent 4 months out with a broken foot, so Kiwior has played a decent amount of games at LB.
Havertz the pick of the average performers in the LCM role (it's as weak as rl). Nketiah also very realistic. Hat trick one week, a 6.2 the next.
Unsure what I'm going to do in the summer. I'm not against selling players like ESR, Vieira and Tomiyasu as they have interest. Partey is definitely getting sold.
Personally I'd keep Tomiyasu as is so versatile and generally puts in good performances.

Of course the game is scripted , though no one from the top will admit it , it must be your tactics instead
Why do you think this?

I think the biggest question mark about the AI here is that Kalvin Phillips has managed to get on a football pitch in a Man City shirt.

just started with arsenal, but have no idea how to use rice or havertz? i prefer rice as a dm, i was using as a bbm, but there is no direct replacement for him in the squad sa bbm. so thinking of havertz in the midfield 2 with odegaard. one playmaker and the other mezzella?
Havertz will improve in CM if you give him plenty of game time.
In other news Henry is back.

No way. Next patch will be in "near future". I expect this or maybe next weekend. We are practically still playing the same beta version. I think SI only addressed GK injury problem in latest patch. There is still A LOT problems in current version of game.
Unhappy players has definitely been toned down a lot which is a massive plus, for 2 seasons I had at least 6/7 players unhappy about the most stupid things then after the patch they gradually went and now I have a squad that doesn't hate me.

Well that's the end of that then, was already planning who I was gonna sign too ffs.

Second season finished and some silverware won, should have gone further in the CL but Porto ended up being runners up to Bayern.
Success was mainly due to me going big in the transfer market, I don't usually do this but as we were attracting good offers for our it seemed the best time to cash in and use the money to bring in better players.
Squad stats
In other news, though not sure why we're being called Champions League champions because were not!

Believe this is only a problem on MAC's (though may be wrong).

Finally finished my first season, was under pressure a couple of times to be sacked but somehow avoided it and did at least finish with some silverware too. Really struggled at times going from playing great one week to ***** the next, also certain there's a problem with the AI teams just having to score a goal at some point during the match no matter how bad they're playing.
I always start with transfers switched off so no deals can happen until January, board turned my requests down for more money (only had £250k) then randomly gave me £106m midway through the window. Brought in Osimhem and Andre from Fluminense in Brazil. Hoping to move on some players in the Summer and haven't renewed the contracts of the likes of Jorginho/Elneny etc, plus will probably be sticking with Ramsdale instead of signing Raya to save myself £27m. Ideally I'd like to bring in another LB and a top quality DM/CM to partner Rice.

Back playing FM this year so will post my results after work later. Not sure if I'll do benchmark 4 though as I reckon it'll take over half hour on my 5 year old machine!

Brilliant idea, I miss the old European comps and have always believed the Champions League should only be for the champions of each nation. Will definitely give this a go at some point with the hope of creating our win in Copenhagen 1994, I won't mention the 95 final and Nayim though...

Feel this would be a simple but much needed addition just to make things much easier when trying to compare any potential staff signings with what you currently have.
As you can see from the screenshot your own staff list is a complete mess where as being able to simply sort them by team (1st, u21's etc)/job role would make things so much easier.

Will load this up tonight and will possibly be the first time in over a year I've played.
Will be Arsenal as usual but I imagine I'll be more Emery than Arteta.

Be patient, it will be released once it is ready.
In fairness mate the game should be done right the moment it hits the shelves and people start paying their hard earned money for it.
You shouldn't have to wait nearly 4 months for an update to 'hopefully' fix its problems.

I'm yet to even play the game at all and have been waiting for this update to come out.
Though by the sounds of it I've not missed much this year

9 for me, would only give a 10 if England were to win as that would obviously be perfect.

2D Icons And Ball Are Too Large When Using A Higher Resolution
in Football Manager General Discussion
Posted
Is there a way (or a mod) to make the 2D icons smaller than they currently are as they just look so out of proportion to the size of the pitch, even the ball looks too big as well.
I've noticed its worse when I'm using a resolution of 3840x2160 compared to 1920x1080 which you would think would work the opposite way around.
This isn't a new problem I've just not asked in the past and for some reason the screenshot doesn't make them appear as big as they are in the game though still bigger than I think would look right! Zooming out doesn't solve anything as that just makes everything smaller so they're the wrong scale for the actual pitch.
