Any info about this? This seems like a major bug to me.

I already signed this player but managed to reproduce it for other one. He is Frank Odhiambo. All I did is agreed with his first offer, and locked the release clause and then offered him better contract and increased the release clause(that's important part that there is no disagreement to what he agreed previously). Then you can increase it infinitely.
The save is called release-clause-bug.fm
I even recorded a video with it:It's the same thing as in FM20, FM21, FM22, I think it was reported as well, but you ignored it so here it is again.
But if there is new player coming to a game he might think that this is normal thing, and if agent agrees then okay - everything works "fine", when in reality it's just bug being here straight for 4 editions or maybe even more.0 -
This is annoying that there is already february and things like this are not fixed :/ @Kyle Brown

So as i understand Football Manager also somehow calculates those points? Interesting, didn't know about this. Still feels weird that my team playing in second division don't have a chance to play it.

Apologies for the delayed response, but can confirm this issue has been put under investigation.
Any info here? Why it wasn't fixed in latest updates in December? This is really annoying issue.

Hi, it's already more than month when this is reported, it was even earlier here:
Any idea when this will be fixed? @Luke Hume This is a small thing but pretty annoying because i use those bonuses almost all the time.

Did you even read my post? I added save file name and mentioned player name there. No wonder it takes you so much time to fix bugs(like few editions) if you don't event read. Added video as well.
