  1. Definitely a waste of time if the person bought this product and invested time and energy into bug reports without the intention of buying FM25 with the hope that this product might be fixed. If you cannot see that then this is where it's glaringly obvious where SI don't really care about the consumer nor the the product they release yearly. Totally unacceptable behaviour.
  2. It's been that way for years. Many things are conveniently ignored.
  3. Absolutely, the game I am referring to my reputation had grown and the teams stealing the players from me had only just been promoted to the National Leagues, but I wasn't able to compete with them when it came to being an attractive prospect. It was surreal!
  4. When you are in a higher league and you are offering a wage which is only 20 pounds off what the player requires and he rejects it to go to a team in a lower league for almost half of what you offered, it's more than ridiculous. This happened frequently during a recent save with Banbury United in England.
  5. If this is truly how it works, it's wild! What an abomination of a transfer system.
  6. And yet I can guarantee that if knap went on to show his tactics before ever using them, and asked the same opinion of whether they would work or not, he would be met with a resounding no, and that he should make changes as they aren't good tacitcs. Now, I don't mean good as in the ethos of the game, I mean good as in successful.
  7. It's actually incredibly unprofessional and largely unacceptable, but they get away with it every year.
  8. It does happen, but it isn't the norm. In FM it would seem that many players see this happening. I still play the game, but it's so obvious what is going to happen sometimes given the way the game works. In addition, it's not the total xGA which is important, it's the average ga needed to score a goal. Other than penalties, most I concede are very low xga, most I score need to be high xga.
  9. It really isn't. It has been this way for years and this is a misconception. I have recently gone back to FM22 which is much better than 24 as I had a great long-term save. I have won everything with Ibiza. I can show my tactic if you like but it is neither downloaded nor gung-ho. Now, the AI score with very low xg. andf hardly need any shots to score. I could accept being counter-attacked and opened up as a player mis-placed a pass or through a defensive clearance, but this is not hte case. It is quite simply even if I have a box full of defenders there is no resistence to the opposition, it's as though you have to hope the opposition mess it up rather than my team being able to actually defend despite not being overloaded. The narratives of 'It'S yOuR tAcTiCs' or 'ThE dEfEnSiVe TeAm Is CoUnTeRiNg' are disingenuous and lazy.
  10. I appreciate the response and the effort you made to try to help with the article. I still feel it could be simplified (the game, not your article) with better explanations/options that are less ambiguous.
  11. I don't fully agree but that's neither here nor there. I'm not asking for an early 90's Arsenal type of offside trap. My question is this, does every team naturally look for an offside where necessary in-game, whther using high-block, mid-block or low-block? Does the percentage of the defenders doing so rise depending on pressing? Are there specific attributes which identify this? Is there an official explanation I can read so I can figure out how to crrate my tactics adequately? Or is it a case of 'we don't know specifically when players will try to play an offside, it's really vague and ambiguous, BUT, teams don't play an offside trap anymore', which again, would be ridiculous. Can anybody give me any further information on this please as I cannot find any info anywhere.
  12. Is there any substitute for getting players to hold a line in order to replicate an offside trap? For it to have been removed without something similar makes zero sense! Teams do still try to hold a straight line to catch oppostion strikers offside!
