Bloody quiet in here these days...

I'd like to see United sign a good destroyer in midfield, sat behind the creative players.
Can't really say anyone's deserved that title, since Keano left.

Purefun's suggestion wins.
(Including my cut, of course )

Visiting a bookmaker is another good idea.

You'd hate it in Spain then.

I've a feeling that it'll be Germany who'll win the Euro's.

Granada is even worse!!!
Only Dani Benítez... and he's not coming back next season.
May soon be at an English club... so that will be fun!
Meanwhile... summer transfer window. Yes, it's "silly season" once more. Rumours and speculation in abundance.

Watch a match featuring Sevilla, you'll be sure there's snipers in the crowd.
Add the fictitious card waving antics... urgh... despicable team.

One word...
Sevilla.

Why Granada’s survival is good for football in La Liga
Shameless plug
Purefun, you'll be pleased to know that whilst in Madrid, I did indeed consume copious amounts of beer. Quite unusual for me, but hey... Rayo and Granada fans both celebrating La Liga survival together... why not!

Get up to much whilst there Heath?
Lived moments of seeming despair, then joy... then spent the night toasting La Liga survival with Rayo and Granada fans.
Usual stuff for the last day of the season.

Back from Madrid... what a weekend!

Just wanted to say hello to you lot, live and direct from Madrid.
For the benefit of Purefun... Yes, plenty of beer tonight in the Spanish capital... But hell... It's expensive!
Will be tweeting live from the Rayo Vallecano v Granada match tomorrow night for @iCentrocampista

I never studied sport journalism. Just started writing about Granada CF, (published at www.elcentrocampista.com) and started making good contacts at the club.
Still very much "amateur" journalism, but you never know... one thing could lead to another. Taking things more seriously with it from next season. One benefit will be free entry to the games, though I did manage to get a free season for this season.
Will be travelling to more away games next season, so gotta pay for travel and hotel expenses, but I don't mind that. Good excuse to visit parts of Spain I've not seen much of yet.

Press accreditation and access from Rayo Vallecano and Granada CF received... CHECK!
Hotel in Madrid booked... CHECK!
Weekend of debauchery and football to be enjoyed in the Spanish capital... CHECK!
Relegation for Granada at the end of it all... I BLOODY HOPE NOT!

Have a nice time! and please do bring some of that weather back.
After crappy weather recently, it's lovely here in Granada too at the moment.
Off up to Madrid at the weekend. Managed to get a press pass for the Rayo Vallecano v Granada CF match, so will be tweeting live during the match.

Has anyone got anything planned for the week-end?
Only the insignificant matter of Granada v Real Madrid.

Could be "tom" in reference to male cats, with "tuck" a reference to how they can tuck themselves in such a way, they can lick their own arseholes with ease.

Interesting stuff heathxxx. So when you say the udinese chairman decided to invest in Granada , do you mean he forged a link between the 2 clubs, or he invested his own money in the club.
Don't the rules say one owner can only own one club?
I wonder what made him choose Granada over other clubs.
Basically Gino Pozzo cleared the club debts and as Granada are basically now a limited company, Quique Pina is president. Effectively now, Gino Pozzo is a director.
As for the rules, only in UK as far as I know. I don't think one owner can have two clubs in the same division though, plus I don't think there's any restrictions on one person or "company", investing in clubs in several countries. Take Red Bull for example.
As for "why", perhaps they saw potential. Reasonable sized city and fan base.
