    Goodluck !
Keep in mind you can't field u17 players in Germany, so that is basically 2 seasons to go without using your newgens.
I am also in Germany with Lokomotiv Leipzig, currently sitting at the bottom of the table after 13 games. Hope you'll do better :)

I have enjoyed managing in Germany before, top of the table after 3 games...

Losing my best player to Hamburg isn't a great start however.

    Hellas Verona 2020/21 Season Summary

"Hellas Verona will look back on the season as a job well done as they impressed sufficiently to break clear of mid-table obscurity and announce themselves as a club on the rise, finishing above their expectations.

Hellas Verona were one of the competition's feel-good stories, defying expectations mainly thanks to an impressive spell of form between September and October and, after climbing as high as 7th at their peak, they were able to celebrate a job well done by finishing in 9th place- Calcio Dilettante Veronese

    Luca Toni's Post Season Words
We finished with 58 points, 7 points more than season before and 2 places higher in the table. In the former half of the season our usual 5-3-2 formation was used focusing on a possession game with a positive mentality. I am proud of what we achieved and we took a big step forward by experimenting with a new 4-4-1-1 tactic in the latter half of the season. The aim for the third season is to challenge for 7th place to bring our football club to Europe.

    The board
The board was very pleased with our overall leadership of the team giving us a B. Luca Toni was also awarded the manager of the year award in the Serie A!

The next season - transfers and squad
As I stated above we aim to finish in the European qualification spots next season. We spent € 12.5 million on new players. The most exciting player being Pedro Mendes, who was however bought in January 2021. We were given a very tough opening fixtures list. However as of now the team managed 7 points from a possible 9 against Roma, Milan and Inter! I have stated that I value experience and role models within a team and brought in Wayne Rooney and José Callejón to bring a presence into the dressing room and for mentoring.

This next season it will be crucial to keep on improving and challenge for Europe to attract better players. Looking forward to update you guys in the future :D

    EDIT: WHAT A START!

Has anyone come in for Kumbulla yet? Looks really good on my Parma save. They quoted me 72 million :O

  3. Parma End of Season 2

So the league went to the final match, at home to Juve

Also reached the Europa League final, losing to Inter 2-0. Looking towards next season, both CB's are finishing their loan, Araujo and Bastoni. Would love Bastoni back but Inter want to use him. Araujo was decent but I don't really like relying on loanees. Signed Cistana from relegated Brescia for 10 mil, Betella from Atalanta for 9 mil and Goldaniga for 500k. a trio of cb's! Also have Schone arriving on a free for mentoring purposes.

Inglese is wanted by Chelsea, he is 29 but has scored 43 goals in all comps the last two seasons combined. Ricci and Adorante are coming back from loan to the first team squad, would like to move Cornelius on, unfortunately he is only just joining permanently :D

Gk is a big decision, Sepe was first choice then picked up an injury in January, Alastra came in and did well. Molla is coming back, maybe a season or two early for him.

Anyone heard of Isaac Lihadji? Signed on a free from Marseille end of 1st season, now a wonderkid...

  4. Parma: End of Season 1

Having topped the league at the half way point, we kind of fell off and dropped to 3rd. Quite happy, winning the league this early would have killed the save tbh. Juventus won by 17 pts in the end.

Buffon retired, he did pick up an injury which probably didn't help his decision.  Got him in as a u18s gk coach.

Signed Coman (Romanian winger) and Ricci (young cm from Empoli), Balic from Udinese has come in on a free, was a world beater for me at Hajduk a few years ago.

Not sure I will sign anyone else. Extended Kulusevski's loan, unfortunately Bastoni won't come back. Looking at Kumublla from Verona for a long term option.

Zola still won't sign as my assistant manager after finishing 3rd in the league, maybe he will when next season actually starts.

In his last game for me, I think his pace was 4?

He actually still playing really well as well, even at 40. And my Bruno Alves had a 4 month injury too at the start of the game.

I'm actually in two minds whether to make him my permanent first choice or not in my 3rd season. He performed really well when given the minutes, sometimes even better than Radu.

Wow,  I worry about playing defenders with less than 10 pace. Radu was my 1st choice GK but now Buffon has come in, I have let him go back to Inter. Between, Buffon, Sepe, Alastra I should be ok.

    Bruno Alves' sale hurts :(

What will your GK plan be for next season? Molla as 2nd choice? What about Alastra?

Nice! Interesting how you would do it to replicate that formation. Definitely a vintage Parma-feel to that.

Zola joined me as u20 coach in the 2nd season. I didn't even try for him in the first season because in FM19 he also refused to talk to me early in the game  I think I got him as Assistant Manager then in the 3rd or 5th season in FM19.

Do keep us posted of your progress! :D

Tbh didn't notice until now that Alastra had potential to be decent. Molla is only 17 so will be a while until he is ready. Alves is too old and slow, just got Bastoni in on loan for the rest of the season. Dropped to 2nd now...

Yeah. A couple of us signed him January, mine was on a Bosman that was brought forward for £275k. The other was £600k transfer offer iirc @WilsonJuve? Both times he retired in season 1.

There were a few other examples that if he is joining your club in the 2nd season, he will play on for another 2-4 seasons instead.

    :(

Anyway, how is your Parma save going? Any transfer or had the window disabled?

Seems I overpaid then, worth it though. Top of the league after 14 games, just ahead of Atalanta by 2 pts, Juve in 3rd.

Only bought Birindelli, a young RB from Pisa as cover and Marco Molla the young GK from Bologna. Sold Bruno Alves and loaned out Laurini.

In honour of the Parmalat years, my manager is Dino Baggio....I'd like to use the Scala, Malesani formation of 3-4-1-2 but don't really have the player at the moment. Trying to get Zola in as my assistant but won't enter talks yet :(
