This isn't an SI Issue....If its that bad, then you need a doctor, rather than this forum.
Or just dont play it, i refuse to play this version of FM because the match engine is terrible, the beta was fine but they ruined it for some odd reason.

Trying to learn how the ME works is not relevant. Understand football, not the ME. Then consider how tactics work in combination with player attributes.
The demo is perfectly fine for experimenting with tactics and players 👍.
Football common sense goes along way, but to suggest FM is anything other than a game is beyond me, of course the match engine plays a big factor in success and enjoyment, thou i must say i always stick to my fav formation and tactics in any FM and always seems to be successful. But to suggest you can apply any modern day tactic through common sense and football knowledge to any football manager match engine is not the case at all, every FM match engine plays slightly different, from wingers out scoring fowards and vice versa.

With all due respect, receiving questions after winning a competition with them referring to you not having won said competition would be a bug.
In relation to updating all the text, it's not something that can be done all that easily given the game is translated into sixteen different languages and there are hundreds of thousands of different text strings in game. But appreciate that if things get repetitive then it can be frustrating.
If you have any examples where you don't feel the text works correctly and is wrong feel free to flag. Likewise if there are any press conference questions and answers, with how that would effect the gameworld that you have in mind please feel free to suggest in the Feature Request section above.
Thanks.
Then just remove them, majority of people either dislike or dont even bother with them.

They offered an opt-in beta, and people refused to treat it in the spirit was intended, so it was withdrawn as a complete waste of time.
A subscription model isn't going to magically change anything. All the things you said they could do under the current model. All it does is add more uncertainty on SIs end.
You would be surprised what money can do, for one it would provide more incentive from the development team to keep introducing new things that keeps the user investing in the game.
More money = more incentive.

yearly release games? I doubt that. I would agree with you if it was a game like GTA that has a few years in between cycles, like why would SI or any other company waste resources on a patch for FM 21 match engine when where in FM 23? it doesn't make sense to me. Now FM is the only game I play with a yearly release cycle so if there are any other gaming companies that are on the same cycle as SI that keep releasing patches for an old game when there is a new one let me know
FM is pretty much a copy and paste game every year with a few added features, the core game is always the same for a long long time, not exactly a bran new game is it.

won't solve it. Think about it this way, they have to release the game every year and they can't spend all their time working on a patch for the current game, they have to at some point stop an move all recourses towards the next game and it so happens that in football there is a transfer window at the middle of the season where players are allowed to move around and it's the perfect time for SI to put out the last patch to update the data base and fix what they are able to fix and move everything to the next game. The only way they would go back to working on the current game after the winter patch is if there is some issue that makes the game literally unplayable like crashes.
I don't blame them for that, every yearly release game has the same issue. some things are easier to fix and don't require as much testing and somethings are not, that is the nature of software
Si can release as many match engine patches as they please, i would presume that staff and income resources that stops them. Many game companies that have much bigger revenue with in game purchases have no problem releasing patches on a regular basis. More staff would mean you could split your time resources its not rocket science, seems your only making excuses to why SI dont behave like other game developers which i find odd.

Every game needs patches, no game is perfect on release, but i think with FM its the lack of patches and time frame thats the issue. Maybe employ more staff?

Sure it will be released before the new big destiny 2 lightfall expansion, alot of players who also play FM are waiting on this like myself, if not i may not even try the new update for FM23 making it the least played FM for me in over a decade.

Think of a player like Pirlo. Clearly a DM, but not great at the defensive side of things. The player you have there is clearly a ball player, not a ball winner. I imagine he would great in a two DM formation with a more ball winner next to him. Perhaps in a Segundo Volante role to take advantage of his physicality.
Perhaps Guardiola or Xavi could be a couple of more examples. Players that need hard working ball winners around them.
Guardiola was more than capable of playing the defensive side of the game, even thou his main strength was passing and vision. Definitely not as weak as this regen thats for sure.

Well i think the problem is for many is how these dominated games where you lose or draw is represented where the gamer feels robbed, where in real life you seen exactly how such results unfolded and real life cannot be disputed. FM is not real life, its a game trying to simuate real life football.

I don't have access either, but then again I don't claim it exists. The burden of proof is on the one who makes the claim.
That is true but all he can do is provide scenario that he has incountered from his experence with the game, true or false none of us truely know accept the actual game designers. To say hes spreading lies and conspiracy theories is a bit harsh since none of us truely know the inner workings of the match engine.

If you give me the proof I asked for, I'll happily apologize. But until then...
The proof that you would like provided is impossiable for him to provide since he does not have access to the source code of football manager.

Your responses are so black and white, you either pick the right one or you completely upset the player. Theres also not many right options out of how many? to come to a compromise, theres only ever like 1 or 2 right responses to keep the player on side out of like 10 or more options.

General fitness is important but match fitness is more important, dont get to hung up on general fitness, the ai consistently play a strong a team under 90% and doesnt effect them to much.

The problem with not accepting things going your way with results like this, it has a kind of butterfly effect. Where if you reload this game and win it you may not win the next game or the game after that where you maybe would have expected to lose and vice verser.

Well the loss itself is a risk.
Sure they could sell him in 3 years time for £5m to someone, but Chelsea might not be in a position to afford to book that loss. They're also liable for his wages for the period. So definitely still a risk.
There will also be an annual loyalty payment - but that will become liable upon the termination of his contract and that's another cost to Chelsea.
Lol 5 MILLION for enzo in 3 years time, behave! maybe in some alternate reality.

Am hearts at the moment and even thou the money is tight there youth setup is rather good, and add to that if your successful like i have been your performing players can fetch a good transfer fee south of the border.

A longer contract increases Chelsea's risk at a certain point.
UEFA's plan is to add a rule within FFP that will only allow transfer fees to be spread over 5 years for accounting purposes. So if you offer an 8 year contract, the transfer fee can only be spread over the first 5 years for FFP. The last 3 will have £0 transfer value attributed in the accounts.
Enzo as an example, if he flops, Chelsea are tied into his wages for 8+ years anyway.
Not really cause they can just sell him at worst case scenario at a loss. The fantastic talent that he is even if he flops at chelsea am sure someone will want him at a decent transfer fee.

Please don't turn this into another tin foil conspiracy thread. This has the potential to be a place where you can discuss how to turn it around instead. So I urge you to do that rather than go into the echo chamber route...
Why is it always the player and never the game? I accept the user might be doing something wrong to handle the pressure but sometimes the game just has it against you and no matter what you do, you cant win those games under those circumstances and that is a fact.Different scenario and different circumstances things can turn out so different.

i love this game to death but its quite obvious someting is it not right, please sort it out SI.

This game is so god damn annoying, i cannot express how infuriating this edition of FM is. I tried to give it another go but no way, this cannot be classed as a good game, i dont understand how anyone can put up with this rubbish.

Why is there never any explanation why things are removed, i used to use this team instruction all the time, yet now its removed with no explanation whatsoever.

FM23 can be a very enjoyable game, especially during beta i enjoyed it alot. But every so often the in game matches make no sense at all, from total domination from the oppostion team, like TOTAL DOMINATION 35 SHOTS TO MY 1, to total domination for my team only to lose to some unexplainable scenario. Dont understand why majority of people are still playing this, i payed good money for it and quite gladly went back to FM22, where at least things make sense to a certain degree.
5 -
Well ive went back to FM22 cause i think its just a better game, wide players are better on FM22, less random results on FM22, feels like am in more control of my team and how they perform.
Also i dont like the new champions league setup in FM23 but thats not Si fault thats UEFA.

I appreciate people need to feed there familes and afford there expensive things, but if you look at the last 4 or even 5 editions of FM, its pretty much been copy and paste with a few added features, doesnt scream huge amount of time, investment and resources to me. Maybe its not time and money thats the problem, but ideas to actually make this game feel fresh and new.
