  1. My worry is more that most teams, who don't rise up the leagues, will all go into debt and be unable to get out of it. This happened to me with my own databases. I'm doing a test now but I only have my laptop with me so it will be slow. I can report back if it's of interest. I've also added in a fake "level 11" so that different teams will pop into the visible league structure as I go along. I'm also going to remove the rule preventing B-teams from being promoted just because I want to play with that challenge. I'd be happy to share this version if allowed.
  2. Really enjoying this database. Thank you. Have you done any tests on team finances after many years? (or long term tests in general) I'm interested in playing a really long career so I might edit the database a little bit so that new teams can enter the league and the finances are relatively stable.
  3. A big issue, though, is that the AI teams are not doing this. So you can end up with most lower league teams in debt.
  4. This is a common problem with edited databases. I have always had this problem with the World League's I created and had to compensate for millions being spent on "other" by awarded prize fees e.g. for winning or drawing, or just participating, in a game. And/or increasing prize money for competitions and where teams finish in the league.

  6. Thanks for the great work with this! I had this idea to manage Plymouth Argyle because their reserves are in Level 10. I thought I could focus on getting the reserves up the divisions with the "assistance" of the senior team When I checked the rules for that division it says "B teams are not allowed to be promoted from this division". Can I just check - does this mean that if the Plymouth reserves finish top, they will stay in Level 10 and the team placed second will go up? Are there any other teams with reserve teams that could be promoted all the way to the top?
  7. This is a really good point. There's an opportunity for SI to actually rise above the "top bantz" which mean very little to an international audience and are probably awkwardly translated. Or just drop these tedious Q&As that don't seem to make much difference and don't give you many options anyway.

  9. I like it a lot. But I can't access the finance screen at the bottom of the left panel. It's covered by the battery icon. Is there anything you can do about this?
  10. What updates are you waiting for? I won't have time to release the next version for a little while but the squad numbers thing is quite easy to add yourself if you want to

  12. Hmm... interesting thoughts, guys. I like the idea of a quick fix (e.g. set all stadiums to 0,0) but I'm not sure if that has any knock-on consequences beyond finances. Have you noticed anything in your tests? Does it change regens or make players reluctant to move or more likely to move or anything like that? I hadn't thought before about making the system self-contained. It would be an interesting experiment. I'll run some tests when I get to the next version and see what the game is like after 20 years or so as a contained system. I would be a little worried the number of players in the game would fall, not sure. Thanks a lot for your suggestions both of you!
