bro your file is in total mess. You should add division type and competition level first. You should really take care about your database first.

I managed to load your file (imagine that with all errors) in game so when you fix your errors you should be fine.

Also dont add parent competition (K7 League) setting to your regional parent competitions. K7 Busan and others. Just for child comps.

Where am I adding the division type and competition level? Is this with the rules? Or the database?

I don't even know what mess you mean, I have no idea what 'mess' you are referring to.

Not sure i understand this - never mind. Dont change anything in database. All child comps have K7 set as their parent competition.

Now just decide how you wanna make that split. When you decide, create new parent comps for level 7 and add it to your rules instead of that single parent competition you have now.

So I now have an issue I had before. I verify and it finishes all 7 levels, but it only say 6/7 verified leagues. Do I need to add the regional K7 parent competitions to the Nation and Competition tab within a country?

And there is your split. For example here in Serbia first split is at level 3. I have 4 regional divisions. So at level 4 i created 4 parent comps - one for every level 3 league. I added level 4 child comp to their parent comp and thats it.

Most difficult thing for anyone here is to understand this - when you create lower league - plan is everything. First you need to understand your real life system 101%.

Do you have dynamic relegation in your regional leagues? Thats the case here in Serbia.

Second option is to move some team to next region if needed. Some countries have this system in order to keep same number of teams in every lower league.

Third option is to have variable number of teams in lower leagues.

Some countries have dynamic relegation (1 team from every reagion is relegated no matter what position is) because they want to keep same number of promoted and relegated teams from all regions.

Fortunately, between the 6th and 7th tier, all teams stay within their region so I don't need any hassle of dynamic relegation yet. But as I am creating a real life system, there is no promotion/relegation between the 4th and 5th level. Once I add a fantasy promotion system there, then I need to play with dynamic relegation.

Yeah but those 31 league have some regional split?  Teams from some groups promote to specific level 5 leagues right?

Yes, but I sorted that by adding the winners of each division to it's own cup stage within the K6 parent league. Then the promotions are done via those 11 stages in the K6 parent. Then the 5th level relegates down to the appropriate level via their own relegation system.

Ah okay, I think I understand. I'm gonna go shout at the editor a bit more and see if I can get this to work. Thanks!

You select levels to load in the game, so level 1 till 5 and not specific competitions per level. If you have various parent/child combination, that means you select all parent/child combinations of a certain level.

In some ways the use of separate parent divisions makes things more organized and logical as well.

Yeah, I think I'm confusing myself with the different levels and where I set them up.

You dont understand - you will keep all child comps under that K7 parent comp because this is set in database under every child comp.

Only thing you will change are parent comps under level 7. You will add multiple K7 parent comps (i dont know how many because i dont know your regions) and set child comps that belongs.

Back in 2015 i had 10-11 parent comps under level 6. I used regional divisions to sort teams to proper division.

Okay, I think I mostly understand. I setup the parent comps and children within the database tab, and not the advanced rules tab?

As i said to your friend - i think this was case in previous versions also. Not sure about that TBH but i think someone wrote about this in previous years.

Only possible solution is to split your system somewhere in K7 leagues. 2 or more parent competitions instead of 1. Lets say K7 Leagues North, K7 Leagues South...

    Or something similar.

That kinda sucks. Did SI never try to fix it?

Is there a way to keep the K7 North Parent and K7 South Parent under the K7 parent? I need to make sure people select the entirety of the K7 when setting up a nation, or not selecting it at all. I don't want people being able to only load the K7 North and not load the K7 south. I know it's not possible to have a parent competition under another parent competition, but was wondering if you knew a way around it?

  9. I am trying to add a league that has about 160 leagues within it. I have been gradually adding them in batches of 10 leagues and testing to see if it verifies and have had no issues, apart from not adding enough 'match days' in some leagues, with those errors being very quickly fixable.

I have had an issue with crash dumps and errors stating 'not enough teams', when there are. I decided to remove some leagues from the parent competition and noticed that all my issues, crash dumps and bugs about teams being missing disappeared as soon as I had 128 or less leagues as children to the parent competition.

I can verify with 128 leagues as children and load the editor file up in FM21 and run it without issue. The moment I add a 129th league in the editor, immediate crash dump, or errors about not having enough teams in a league. Remove a league and all is back to normal and working.

Has anybody got any idea if this is an issue that is known or if anybody has a fix for it?

  10. I'm looking to see of anybody can read a dump file and understand it in a meaningful way. I am trying to verify rules on a custom database. My rules worked fine when I added the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th tier. But adding the 7th tier is the one causing the crash dumps.

When I click Test Rules and click either 'All' or the 7th tier, the game gets to the end of the first part of the test, where it shows a date around 22nd November 2020 and the the editor just crashes.

If I reinstall the editor, I get a different error stating one my leagues doesn't have enough teams for stage 0 of the league. I have checked this league and there should be no issue getting the teams, none of my other leagues have this issue and they are setup almost identically. If I run the test again, I just get another crash dump until I reinstall it again.

I can attach a crash dump file and it is mentioning an issue with a DLL, but it's not something I can understand. Hopefully someone here can help.

  11. I am trying to add a league the the list of South Korean leagues, in the advanced editor, to enable me to edit the advanced settings of the league I am trying to add.

But the moment I press the 'Add' button, I get an immediate crash dump. Any idea what's causing it?

For replication - I just simply load the fresh database, then Rules -> Add Nation Rules -> Add Lower Divisions for Korea -> Rules -> Convert to Advanced -> Click List on the left -> Press Add -> Crash Dump

    I have attached a screenshot.

  12. In Korea, 2 teams were unable to qualify for the Asian Champions League (ACL) due to them being military teams

However this year, one team (Chungnam Asan) are no longer a military team and are allowed to qualify again for the ACL.

This is what it looks like in the game.

Does anybody know how to change this in the Advanced Rules? I'd like to allow them to qualify the same as the other Korean teams.

  13. I am trying to edit an FA Cup structure and I am bit confused about how to add teams based on their league, or continental qualification.

The structure is essentially this. The whole competition has 60 teams, start to finish.

The first round has 11 teams from the 5th tier of the country. The 5th tier has 11 small local leagues, so I can tell the game to choose the best team from each individual competition to select the 11. It then also adds 11 teams from the 4th tier. And then the 10 'worst' teams from the 3rd tier, for a total of 32 teams.

The second round has the 16 winners from the previous round, with the addition of the other 6 teams from the 3rd tier and entire 10 teams of the 2nd tier. That is a total of 32 teams again, 16 winners go to the next round.

The third round is where things start to get complicated. This has the 16 previous round winners plus 8 of the teams from the 1st tier that did NOT qualify for the Asian Champions League. This is a total of 24 teams, 12 winners go through. There is an issue here if a team not in the 1st tier qualifies for the Asian Champions League, which I assume would cause the cup to not be able to get enough teams at one stage and I don't understand how to prevent that.

The fourth round has the previous 12 winners, plus the 4 teams that qualified for the Champions League, for a total of 16 teams.

The fifth, semis and finals are simple, just a knockout without adding teams.

Now my issue is, is there any way to set this up in the Advanced editor? Can anybody help with any if this at all? I have just spent a day adding a 5th tier to my database and adding a whole bunch of clubs and league changes. But the FA cup is my final hurdle to get this league perfect.

    Season 2021 Review

    League Table  -  Fixtures 1  -  Fixtures 2  -  Team Overview  -  Finances  -  Club Vision  -  Transfers

Thanks to a very good run in the middle of the season, we managed to avoid relegation fairly easily. The form at the start of the season was expected, but the form towards the end was abysmal and I can't really work out why. Our top scorer did only get 9 League goals, the Kosovan with too many L's in his name, Erblin Llullaku. The man scored a decent amount, but his lack of pace is annoying and I may need to move him on if I can blood a suitable replacement next season.

The only major transfer casualty was Halvard Kvamme Urnes. He only had 2 months left on his contract and refused to sign a new one. Due to his huge transfer value of £0, I couldn't get any upfront money for him, but I was able to get a '50% of next transfer' clause in there. So if he sells for money on his next transfer, I will get something at least. But it is unlikely I will ever see any money from that, unfortunately.

The two star players were Lars Rydje & Sander Hagen. They both had very good seasons, but I don't think I'll be able to hold onto Rydje once his contract runs out at the end of next season.

    Youth Prospects

Due to the youth intake happening before the season starts, in February, my original post had a quick overview of the candidates. After a season, I have a better grasp of the prospects I have. The following 5 are the best of a very good bunch.

Sven Granlund - Jumped straight into the first team and has played all season. Hoping he continues progressing.

Onar Aaslund - Lacked a decent RB this season so he got a bit of game time. His pace is terrible, so works better as a defensive full back.

Atle Ingebretsen - I definitely didn't give this guy enough game time, but looks solid and will likely get alot of game time next year. Will be the Llullaku replacement.

Hakon Hagen & Ali Esmaeili - Two top looking prospects. Got no game time because I play a narrow diamond and don't need wingers. I will loan them out or adapt my formation

Now that I have finished a full season and I know I should be able to continue improving from here and (hopefully) won't be sacked, I will spend most the pre-season trying to get every player on as long a contract as possible. We already lack depth in the midfield and I don't want to lose any more players if possible.

  15. So after almost one season, Allerod are officially relegated and I am kicked out the club. The board were actually happy with my performances all season, but no lower leagues means I lose my role. I am actually annoyed at this, this team had Excellent youth recruitment so I was looking forward to the regens.

    Sacking Message

    League Position

Time to move on I guess. I will be starting again in Norway. I have been very fortunate this time again with a team that were in the top division as recently as 8 seasons ago; Hønefoss BK.

    Newly Added Manager

Let's hope I can get more than 1 win this season.

Edit: Quick update. The youth intake happens before the season starts, in February. Looks like a few useful additions - Youth Intake

The 2 most useful additions are a decent backup Goalkeeper Sondre Sagbakken and a backup Right Back, Onar Aaslund, as I was lacking anything decent on the right
