  1. 😅 I stopped asking for more money long time ago, sometimes I just ask for less. Is useless feature. I can't spend it, and that is a minus for the game imo. The first post is or can be part of the game. If I would be at my career beginning, I would try to spend some part of the money on courses and tutoring, if the club would reject my request.

  2. I do want better stadiums, facilities, and all that, but if the club does not belong to you, as ownership, than you as manager should have nothing to say about were to build it, and how to look like, and other things related to the stadium and the facilities.

Sure, if you are 10 years old coach for same team, maybe you can have an opinion, but other than that, is not manager business how the club owner think is better for his club.

You as manager can only ask for improvement, but that is all.

  3. The skin is great, but in steam deck, i could not see the kits. i made a modification, if anyone wants this, and now you can use a tab and see the team kits. You can use my file and replace it, in my documents - si - fm - skin - wtcs5 - panel - club, or you can modify yourself.

  4. you can do it in FM Editor, but after you use the first post tutorial.

the only bad side is that you need to start new career, and also.. sometimes it will not be the way you wanterd.

For example.. i have a stadium that has a middle part that is in the middle of nowhere...and it supposed to be fixed with the others...

  5. This anyone tried this method in FM 23.

For me it does not work. I can edit stadiums in FM, but in games, nothing changes.

LE: It works, but you need to add 0 to all 8 pieces first, before building the stadium. Also for stadiums with no parts, first uncheck in use button, and after, uncheck exist button.

  6. This pack will replace all default standard kits for editor and inside game (it will not replace licensed kits from SI, or any other custom kits that replace individual teams kits).

To install this pack for Football Manager Game, you only need to download it, and copy the folder graphics, in your MyDocuments - Sports Interactive - Football Manager 202X.

Sorry about the slow answer... only just bought FM21 and started looking at the forums again.

Short answer, you need FM, FM Resource Archiver, FM Editor (or in-game editor) and a Paint program to create the images to do it yourself.

Long answer - here's the whole process (I'm sure someone might be able to streamline it slightly, you only have to do Part One once to extract the files, if you make backups you can use those instead of extracting the originals again).

Reminder - this is to change the DEFAULT 3D kit styles in game - so the 56 templates can be replaced by different designs and you can use the colour change function in the FM Editor or the In-game editor. This isn't for individual team custom kits or changes to 2D kits.

PART ONE, EXTRACTING THE FILES/IMAGES ----------
Start by using the FM2021 Resource Archiver - go to Create Archive, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2021\data and click SELECT.

Then choose the location on your device where you want to save the contents of the data folder, in order to be able to edit it later. (eg the Desktop). Click SAVE and it will create the extract of the data folder from FM21 onto your device, a file called "data.fmf".

Then, in Resource Archiver, go to Extract Archive - it should still have the location of the data.fmf file wherever you just created it - select the data.fmf you just created, and click LOAD. Then choose a location to extract the file structure that's currently within data.fmf - I call it something obvious like "FM21 Extract Graphics Original".

Click Save and it says "Extracting files" until the full data.fmf folder structure from within the game is on your device.

You can now go back into the Resource Archiver AGAIN and go into the data FOLDER you just created, (*not* the fmf this time) then the game folder, and select the graphics.fmf. Extract that to the same "FM21 Original" folder, it includes the images of the default kits under graphics\pictures\kits\3D\default though that's not where it takes them from! You can copy the templates from here - this is the format the 3D shirt images are in, including the red/green/blue format which is used to enable you to change shirt colours in the FM and In-Game Editors.

The file structure in here shows you the default kit and number:
01-0 is shirt style 1 with the same back style as front,
01-1 is shirt style 1 with a number square on the back
01-2 is shirt style 1 with a plain coloured back
02-0 is shirt style 2 with the same back style as front, etc.

One last trip into the Resource Archiver - click on Extract Archive and go up a level to the data folder, and extract the file simatchviewer-pc.fmf - click LOAD, and choose where you want to put the file (I keep them all in the same top level folder), click SELECT and that will show you the contents of that file, which includes the actual location where the default 3D kit files (in DDS format) are kept.

Now you've got the original extracts of the graphics and simatchviewer-pc folders on your device, you might want to take copies as a backup - I copy to "FM21 Extract Graphics Edited" and then do all my changes in there. I don't bother to back up the data folder as for these processes you only change those two files.

So... that's all the getting to the files sorted - you only have to do this bit once, time to actually make some changes.

PART TWO - EDITING THE KIT IMAGES---------------

You will need a paint tool, something like Paint.net, PaintShopPro etc. which is able to save files in DDS format.

Go to your copy of the images in graphics\pictures\kits\3D\default and open image 01-0

As a test, and proof of concept, just paint a big, obvious shape on the front and back of the shirt using either the green (R 0, G 255, B 255) or blue (R 0, G 0, B 255) default colours. Then save the file as 01-0.DDS in your copy of simatchviewer-pc\textures\generic_kits, overwriting the original - do the same on the front of 01-1 (green square on the back) and 01-2 (plain red colour back) and save those to the same location.

Once you have your test file, you'll want to import your updated file into the game...

PART THREE - IMPORTING INTO THE GAME------------

You now have an edited simatchviewer-pc file which you want to put into the right location to work in FM.

Firstly, go to C:Prog Files x86/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Football Manager 20xx/data/ and back up simatchviewer-pc.fmf

    To create/replace simatchviewer-pc.fmf in C:Prog Files x86/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Football Manager 20xx/data

Go to Resource Archiver, Create Archive, navigate to your edited simatchviewer-pc, click SELECT
Then navigate to C:Prog Files x86/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Football Manager 20xx/data and click SELECT. If there is already a simatchviewer-pc when you click SAVE it will ask if you want to overwrite the existing file - say YES (if you have made a backup), if you renamed the original it will just create the new simatchviewer-pc.fmf when you click SAVE and the program Creates the Archive.

PART FOUR - START THE GAME---------------

Now all you need to do is launch FM find a team using the kit style 1 in the game (or change a team to that style using the FM editor before you start FM or using the In-Game Editor if you've loaded it). You may even see it on the wall of the changing rooms before you start playing! Remember you may need to delete the cache and reload the skin etc - you may also need to disable licensed kits(!) and the on-pitch 3D kit will have the design you created (and you can use that design in multiple colours for lots of different teams). As there are 56 shirts in the game you can change 56 styles to whatever generic designs you want! (I think 57 is for keepers, not sure).

NB this won't change the images in the FM Editor, so the kit designs in the FM Editor won't correspond to the default kit styles you're using in game when you're trying to change colours. In order to do that you need to edit the default 2D kits using a similar method and extract and overwrite the contents of the graphics.fmf file in C:Prog Files x86/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Football Manager 20xx/data/game/

Hope that helps, credit also to everyone on this thread who helped me last year!

this is not working on 2023 :(

i did to extract file and create archive with same original file, no editing, and it does not work. the game lose all colors :))

  8. Hi there,

    Thank you for you answer.

Might be an ideea what you say, i have to research how the MLS system is, but as i am not pro in editor, i might fail badly.. 😔 The teams already play with eachother 18 regular games, and the only simple option i can think of is to create, if possible, other 2 play off leagues with 21 teams each group, where the championship of the 42 main leagues, play to eachother one game only.  The relegation is regular, 2 teams from each regional league relegate. And 2 from inferior league promote. And that means 2 from each region will fall, and must be replaced with teams from same region.

The problem with the regional thing, is to be honest, i don't understand how it work fully. But i might give it a try and see how it works.

  9. Hello there,

I need some help and solutions to few issues i have. A small tutorial would be also great and welcomed.

#1. I have 42 small domestic leagues, with only 20 promotion spots. How can i dived 42 championship teams into 20 promotion places?? Any possibility?

#2. How i said earlier, i have 42 small domestic leagues, based on regions of the country. How can i do that the teams who fall from upper division to go in his own region league, not randomly.

#3. As the same problems as above, i have 42 domestic regional leagues, and i want the teams that fall to the inferior league to be replaced by teams from same region. It is this possible, and how?

  10. Hi there,

The panel is great, but i want to make one modifications. Can you help me please?

i want to remove the number next to his name. Possible?

  11. Hi there,

Based on this topic, i created my own custom default kits with model similar to the real ones, and up to date. The kits looks okay in game, no errors as i know, and does not replace any other Original, or SS, or any other custom kit. This pack replace only the default kits.

The Installation is easy. Download the pack and copy folder inside YourDocuments / Football Manager XX / graphics

Pack FM19 does not work for FM 20 or 21.

Pack FM21 does not work for FM 19 and bellow.

There is a checkbox in the editor for clubs on the Ownership tab that says "Stop Outside Takeovers", does that prevent selling the club?

  15. History lesson!

1962 - The year in which AFC Viitorul Bucharest, the football team, was born. The year in which Aunt Tamara, full of energy and impatience, was born in Colentina Hospital in Bucharest. In the middle of the night, and 2 minutes later, the document proving the establishment of the club is signed and stamped, and at the same time, in Colentina hospital, 1st floor, room 204, Aunt Tamara is born, with only 3KG 250gr, and 55cm long.

1963 - The year in which AFC Viitorul Bucharest refuses to end the football competition, and dissolves the team. Shocking news for all Romanian football in that interwar period. The year in which Aunt Tamara was baptized, and was given her name before God in the church of St. Andrew in Bucharest.

1965 - The year in which Aunt Tamara invents walking on two legs, at only 3 years old, and discovers the mystery of the words used to express yourself. The year in which Aunt Tamara sees for the first time a ball, and a black and white picture, with AFC Viitorul Bucharest. The year in which two hearts meet, and become one.

1977 - The year in which the earthquake of 7.7 degrees on the Richter scale, destroys many joys and values, many people perish, and go to a better world. The year in which Aunt Tamara, a strong, independent, and very daring woman, began her studies in naval, road and aviation mechanics, and in the following years she graduated with 10 +++ and became the first woman in history to invent a engine that is supplied with tap water and does not explode.

1982 - Aunt Tamara, raised in a modest family, out of the desire to make money, a better future, a family, decides to flee the country. Hardly, through rubble, wind, rain and snow, he succeeds, and after only 4 months, he barefoots and starves on the thresholds of Sweden. The birthplace of the future husband Håkan Samuelsson.

1988 - Aunt Tamara, gets married, settles in her house, starts her new job at SAAB-SCANIA, and climbs to the top of success, developing 3 generations of engines for small cars and trucks, after which she wins 3 awards that bring her a considerable amount at that time.

1989 - The year in which I, the manager, open my eyes for the first time in a hospital in Bucharest, and see the rays of the sun ... or the lights on the ceiling ... I don't know exactly ...

2000 - Aunt Tamara, in a happy marriage, but not without adrenaline, quarrels, and a lot of love, decides to open her first company, which proves over the years that she is a winning lottery, otherwise in only 7 years, Aunt Tamara decides to sell the company for 300mil Euro, and to focus on conceiving her first child, and prioritazing family life.

2008 - The most devastating year for Aunt Tamara. She waited too long to decide to have a baby, and the doctor told her she was impotent at her age. For the next 4 years, Aunt Tamara struggles with medication, depression, and a lot of frustration, but being a strong woman, she raises her head from the ground, and dedicates herself to another case. It becomes a UNICEF partner, and travels more around the world to protect and help poorer children than the rest of the world.

2010 - I, the manager, start the first UEFA C License courses in Bucharest and graduate in only 6 months ... out of a maximum of 6 that I could have done .. then I turn to UEFA B License, and in only 4 years of school ... I managed to graduate .. with a passing grade ... License A, It seems a long way .. as does my career as a coach ... but you never know ...

2018 - Aunt Tamara, decides it's time to focus on the family. Although she has no children of her own, she has nieces and nephews, who are still thinking about her, and whom she has not seen for over 10 years. In order to make amends on them, and to apologize for the long departure, and distance from them, Aunt Tamara accepts a project for each of them and sponsors them with a maximum amount of 10Mil EURO.

2019 - The year in which I present my project to Aunt Tamara. Not knowing that Aunt Tamara is in love with football, and with AFC Viitorul Bucharest, she decides to get more deeply involved in my project. From the position of chairwomen of the club ... Hmm ...

2020 - The Bolta-Rece stadium is inaugurated. The Electroaparataj training grounds are re-inaugurated, and the club's takeover of the Juventus Colentina stadium is celebrated. AFC Viitorul Bucharest is being re-established, the colors and the logo are being changed, equipment is being bought, and people are being sought for the technical staff. Following a trial, the first players join the club.

Presentation of the AFC Viitorul Bucharest Club

Following a large number of competent technical sponsors for equipment, we decided to join the Hummel group and sign a 6-year contract. AFC ViitorulBucharest does not benefit from anything other than the sports equipment, offered by the Hummel group. The main colors of the club are Yellow-Blue, the secondary colors are White-Red-Black. The official stadium is Bolta-Rece, it has 800 seats, all with seats, heated lawn, drain and automatic elevators, the total amount spent reaching 2,439,716 Euros. The Electroaparataj training grounds, two in number, were re-arranged, and re-built from scratch and were brought to the level of one (1) UEFA yellow star, the amount spent being 3,724,770 Euros. The U19 Academy benefits from the Juvents Colentina stadium, which was taken over by the club, from the capital's mayor's office and re-modernized, the total amount spent reaching 3,025,045 Euros. The club's budget was divided in a normal way (random.org), 457 957 Euro Finance, and 131 184 Euro for transfersWe do not yet have a main sponsor of the team, but we hope that in the years to come, we will benefit from a suitable one. PM if you are interested in becoming a sponsor of the AFC Viitorul Bucharest team. The team is for the first time in history, registered in league 5 Romania, from where it starts its ascent to League 1.
