Having been a goalkeeper myself many moons ago, I can tell you this is absolutely possible. I once really badly dislocated my thumb when coming out to catch a ball. It was agony for days. Had the ball been moving any quicker, it's no stretch to believe it could have been broken.

All looking pretty normal in my save, I hope they don't muck about with this too much, the ME is great this year.
