  1. I would like a new option available for highlights, something between key and comprehensive.
It will include all the key highlights (like it does now) plus 1 minute at set intervals (5/10 minutes). So if we take 10 minutes interval as an example, starting with minutes 10:00, 20:00, ... , 80:00 show the match for 1 minute, even if that 60 seconds interval does not include key moments.

It would be nice to be interrupted from time to time in those matches in witch nothing worthy of "key" happens and I wouldn't mind seeing 3 minutes of random play per half.

Giving the user the freedom to set both intervals would be a big plus.

  2. I know I've seen this mentioned before but I cannot find it now.

Why is the pitch condition not correctly represented? My current team plays on a stadium shared by other 3 or 4 teams and of course its condition is always terrible.
When I started the save, I was surprised to see questions about how the terrible pitch could affect the matches since what I always see in 3D is a perfect pitch. Only when I looked at the stadium page I saw it said "terrible".

So, again, why don't we see terrible pitches anymore during matches?

Also, a small point on the ME. Deep crosses to the far post seem to create significantly more goals than IRL. But this has been the case for many iterations of FM so maybe that's why nobody is harping on it.

I've just finished my season in Andorra and for the second season in a row the player with the most assist (by far) was my left wing back (attack). Had 23 assists (18, in the previous season) and apart from 2 or 3 crosses from free kicks, all of them have been diagonal crosses to the far post.

I play a narrow 433 with no wingers and although this was somehow the intended behavior, I do think it is a bit too much.

    1. Assistant manager feedback. To be frank: it's rubbish. It wouldn't even be helpful for people new to the game. An opposition player could be a 6.3 rating, smash in a screamer, then be on a 8.0 rating and your assistant will be telling you that the player is "pulling the strings" or "really controlling things out there". No, he's not doing any of that; he was having a poor game and then scored a screamer. Yet if you follow his advice, you'd bend your tactic out of shape for every such occurrence. My assistant kept telling me that Joe Gomez was an "accomplished crosser of the ball" - Gomez has a crossing stat of 8. He's also completely wishy-washy about passing. We could be dominating the ball with mixed passing and he'd tell me we should play it shorter. We could be making chances with short passing and he'd tell me we should be more direct. While it's all ignorable, there's potential for this feature to point out things I have missed or should be aware of. As it is, it hasn't been at all useful since its introduction.

I've recently had a match where the assistant said the opposition central defender is pulling the strings and needs to be closed down; that was, of course, after he scored from a corner.

I find it rather funny (mostly because I always ignore the feedback, I prefer to watch the game myself) but I totally understand that his feedback should be one of the most important features of the game, especially for new players.

    And great post, btw.

I have a bit of a cycle in my save, I'm Bristol City and 10 seasons in, around 2020 Ashton Gate was expanded to from 24,000 to 27,000 (its actual real life capacity but okay...) but haven't been offered the opportunity to expand since, explained elsewhere due to AG's real life limited expansion potential. Every time I attempt the build new stadium any option and I get a response that the board doesn't believe the expansion potential is there in the fan base. In the last 4/5 seasons I've  pretty much sold out every game, I've won the league cup, FA cup twice in a row, Europa leaue. Last season I won both the league and FA cup, finished 2nd in premier league and quarter final of the champions league. My finances are at about £170m to the good, got a message that my facilities had been downgraded due to time, ask for them to be upgraded, said it would help persuade high quality signings, get a response that the wage budget probably wouldn't allow for these high level signings anyway so request denied. I also didn't get a new transfer budget for the upcoming season so having to sell players. I also had the smallest wages to turnover percentage in the whole league last season at about 24%.

So basically the board say the money isn't there to bring in high level signings due to low wage budget so won't allow upgraded facilities, however also won't build a new stadium helping to increase income due to a perceived lack of potential support despite selling out for years. There appears to be no way to break this cycle and I keep having to sell good players each summer to maintain the finance level/bring in new players.

    Any ideas?

Tell the board you'll quit if your requests are not granted?

Yeah, was originally Octopush, came out of a BSAC club in East London I believe.

Is now an international sport and pretty popular over here. She was never that into sports until she went to try-out-the-sport night at the local pool. Now, at 15yrs old, is on the verge of the New Zealand u19 team for the Worlds this year.

It's in Sheffield - so wife and I slipping money aside just in case. Good excuse to come home for a visit. Could scout some of the players I've been tracking on Football Manager!

She has been playing now for three years, I have driven and flown all over the country to her tournaments, taken her to the pool for trainings three or four times a week been at every tournament she has ever played but never actually been able to see her play! It is the very opposite of a 'spectator sport'.

Still, plenty of FM time with the lappy waiting for her to finish.

Good news here is you can play FM :)

Anyway, looks like your daughter has some promising attributes; I'm sending an "Encourage" shout from here and I hope you can see the pool in Sheffield.

Getting back to the topic, I almost forgot the blisters my friend got at his wedding last summer.
I'm not artist (don't get fooled by the drawing), but here's how it looked like:

Yes, it was that big and for a week or so he was unable to wear anything apart from flip-flops.

So, in some cases, 8 to 10 days being _red_ injured with blisters does not sound so extreme.

To be fair, my daughter got a huge blister that was a real problem for a good couple of weeks - she plays Underwater Hockey and using the fins over the blister was agony for the first week, improving slowly for the second week.

No way she was training 2-sessions a day, four days a week plus a  match so yeah, I can see a blister taking 8-10 days before a player is able to go through the workload of a professional footballer.

    Had to Google that....

    Octopush :)
    Nice
