Pitch Textures... circle pattern... please help

Tried that and it didn't work -
My home stadium has a horrible circle pattern on the pitch and i want to change it. I've downloaded a texture folder, put it into my FM folder, swapped names of the circles.dds and the checkered.dds, cleared the cache and reloaded skinn but the circle pattern is still there! I managed to do this successfully in FM23 but i can't get it to work on this version. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this please? It's doing my head in haha TIA
