Good afternoon all,
I was wondering if anybody could help me make sense of how mortgage loans work in the game. I've had it a couple of times in different saves and it's confusing and frustrating me in equal measure, due to not having a clue how it works.
I can see the mortgage loan within my debt and loans tab in finances, but I cannot see any mention of it within my income or expenditure. And when I spend the money granted from it, it goes onto the balance sheet but no signs of this mortgage loan money.
Could anyone explain what I am missing? Thanks

Early doors, and I've been a huge critic ever since FM13. Haven't really enjoyed any of the FM's since 12. But to give credit where credit is due, this feels like a hell of an improvement. I remain cautiously optimistic but it actually feels like they've really tried to make a good game, rather than just putting lipstick on a pig every year.
Fair play SI, you deserve a lot of credit from what I've seen so far.3 -

yes he is keeping the pressing intense in the low block. Teams that play a low block tend to do that, the fact that you don't engage the opposition higher up doesn't mean you don't have to press intensely when they come into your own half
That's completely fine. But if you're playing a low block and are standing off teams (a tactic as old as football itself). They shouldn't just be able to lob balls over the top with impunity, with your defenders not reading or picking anything up whilst teams slice you open like it's nothing. I've played FM for years and have never known it be this bad.

Honestly the defensive part of the match engine is so bad. You can have the lowest block, no pressing, and sitting back. And I guarantee you'll still get balls being pinged over the top on the regular resulting in goals as though you're playing a Pep/Klopp high line. Really is an awful game.

I think I am done with the Football Manager series now. I've really tried to reignite my passion for the series, but the years of constantly paying 30/40 pounds for what are essentially unfinished games has taken a toll on my interest and passion for it, especially when the subsequent updates never sort anything, if at all. I was initially really excited to try the new match engine with fixes for the ridiculous long balls and various other issues. I was quite optimistic, but the match engine just has so many other issues that have popped up in its place. Solve one problem and other problems pop up. It's properly worn me down. Best of luck with the game everyone, it's beaten me down and I've got no desire to play it anymore.

Anyone else constantly having clubs offer to loan your players that aren't even listed, whilst contributing 0 to 10% in wage contributions and minimal monthly fees? Honestly bizarre.

The phrase would indicate a large winning score, so if club A had won the game 6-0, the the headline is correct
I would argue it doesn't indicate that at all. Six of the best is an idiom used to describe being struck/beaten. Therefore to say 'six of the best' and then 'for' indicates the team it is 'for' was given six of the best. Doesn't really work and it's just a lazy tabloid headline. IMO.
Not that it really matters of course.0 -
I think it's probably a problem with your tactics pal.

Lol, you're aware they can play up to 49 games in the league right? smh.
