Wolves Rising: A Youthful Journey to Premier League Glory

This year as usual I am starting a Wolves Save. I have decided to do something a little different this time. The first thing I've done that's different is so the club is involved with signing young players cheap to build into future stars. I had the idea that the manager would be a young portuguese manager who has just retired from Football, going into managing Wolves with decent qualifications, who wants to aim to get stronger as a manager as time goes on. The second thing I've done is asked Chat GPT for a set of guidelines, aims and ideas for the save, and I will be updating Chat GPT on the progress with each season passing, and asking it for any ideas what to do for the next season. So I will now be writing down here the guidelines, aims and ideas that it has given me, along with potentially some of my own if needed. But looking at them, I don't think I'll need to. Also the name of the save was generated by Chat GPT for me, since I don't have much creativity for it this year.

Guidelines

Develop Youth Talent:

    • Use your youth squad first for deciding whether you need to fill a position, and prioritize putting youth players in squad player/fringe player positions to get experience through short but regular goes in the team. (Prioritize the development of youth players from your academy.)
    • As time goes on, steadily invest in your youth facilities and improve coaching staff where you can to strengthen player development. (Invest in your youth facilities and coaching staff to enhance player development.)

Scouting Network:

    • Try to improve the scouting team with scouts with experience scouting in Portugual, England and Spain, with the aim to find young and upcoming players from those areas along with any players that are a little older that may be able to strengthen the team immediately. (Establish a strong scouting network, particularly in Portugal, England, and Spain. Identify and sign young talents with high potential from these regions.)

Strategic Signings:

    • Look for experienced players who can serve as mentors for the young talents.
    • Sign promising players from abroad who fit the team's playstyle and philosophy.

Tactical Identity:

    • Develop a distinct tactical identity that suits your squad's strengths.
    • Be adaptable and tweak your tactics based on your opponent and player strengths. (I will try to do this but I'm not too great at that side of the game, but I'll try to tweak my tactics based on the team we're playing, if we're playing a weak team, I'll go more aggressive, if we're facing a strong team, more defensive. Also, if they go a man down, we will push them.)

Balanced Recruitment:

    • Maintain a balance between experienced players and young talents in your squad.
    • Ensure a blend of nationalities, focusing on Portuguese, English, and Spanish players.

Limited Budget Management:

    • Make shrewd transfer decisions due to the limited budget.
    • Prioritize key positions and invest wisely in areas that need strengthening.

Short-Term Aims (1-3 Seasons)

Establish in the Premier League:

    • Aim for a mid-table finish in the first season.
    • Develop a stable starting XI with a good mix of youth and experience.

Invest in Youth Infrastructure:

    • Upgrade youth facilities and coaching staff.
    • Focus on promoting at least one youth player to the first team.

Solidify Core Squad:

    • Identify and secure key players for the long term.
    • Develop a tactical system that maximizes the strengths of your core players.

Medium-Term Aims (4-6 Seasons)

European Qualification:

    • Aim for European qualification through league position or domestic cup success.
    • Build squad depth to handle multiple competitions.

Continued Youth Integration:

    • Continue promoting youth players to the first team.
    • Establish a reserve squad that competes in lower leagues for additional development.

Enhance Scouting Network:

    • Strengthen your scouting team to identify top talents early.
    • Expand scouting focus to other countries if necessary.

Long-Term Aims (7+ Seasons)

Challenge for Titles:

    • Aim to challenge for the Premier League title and progress in European competitions.
    • Develop a squad capable of competing at the highest level.

Global Scouting Network:

    • Expand your scouting network globally to find the best talents from around the world.
    • Develop partnerships with clubs in other countries to facilitate player exchanges.

Club Legend Status:

    • Aim to have players from your academy become club legends.
    • Focus on creating a strong emotional connection between fans and homegrown players.

Financial Stability:

    • Ensure the club's financial stability through smart transfer dealings and consistent success.
    • Explore commercial opportunities to increase revenue.

All of this will be a lot to deal with, but it will make a very interesting save of Wolves this year. I know with FM2023, I only got around 5 years done before I gave up with the save due to real life, but hopefully I will be doing more with this club. I'll update this thread in a couple days or earlier maybe depending on how quick I get the pre-season done, and planning for before I start the save, with what tactics I'll be using and stuff. I'll be trying to use a 4-3-3 system, though, but that might change.

This will be the manager I'll be using. A young up-and-coming Portuguese manager.

This 4-3-3 has been good for us in pre-season.

We will also be going with a lower defensive line initially.

Match

47 seconds in, excellent team play lead to a goal from NELSON SEMEDOOOO! Assisted by Lemina. They had a chance on the 2nd minute, but were unable to execute it. Again on the 7th, but this time they were offside. They keep getting chances as they had a third chance that went wide on the 12th minute. We need to start winning the ball back. Sarabia wins the ball back on the 18th minute! Nothing happens. 20th minute, we have the ball! Backpass... Poor pass and they have the ball! Good save by Sa! We're still 1-0 up! We got a corner on the 29th minute, but were unable to score from it even from the rebound. We should make it 2-0, though, we've looked good when attacking. Even though a little poor in passing. Hee Chan got the ball and tried to shoot on the 45th minute, but was unable to score it! Second Half. I'm moving the defensive line up to standard, make us more aggressive, and moving our mentality to Balanced. Cunha is going to be put as a CF(A) to see if we get anything out of him. No subs. 45th minute again, we have the ball! Long pass, but it goes out. 48th minute, they have the ball. Maddison assisted Van De Ven after some excellent team play from their side, and they scored, making it 1-1. 56th minute, I'm making some changes. Fabio Silva comes on as a striker, Sarabia is replaced by Pedro Neto. Tommy Doyle comes on in the DLP role and we move it up to a DLP(S). Let's see if we can change the game here. I've told them to try to score the winning goal! They have a corner... They scored from it! Both of their defenders tonight got a goal each and we're now 2-1 down! I'm going to encourage the team... We won the ball back and we're trying to push forward! We get a corner! 82nd minute, I'm going to change up our mentality to positive! The game ends 2-1... We did well offensively going forward, unfortunately they were solid defensively and we were only able to score once. Simply put, they outscored us.
