Guest El Payaso
SEASON 8 (PART 2/2) The new owner gave us some money to work with and I decided to strenghten the defense as we were lacking depth. Llamas was the perfect cover for Gayá: a more defensive minded option who is more than happy to play the back-up role. Muñoz was and is Spain national team regular and experienced option. Just what the defense needs IMO. We got knocked out of the Copa del Rey like I expected: two quite even match ups against Real and they did have the small edge in these to take the place in quarter finals. Kevin Gómez took 5 MOTMs at the start of the year and then got injured for the rest of the season against Betis. Alfonso Herrero also got injured and I had to play Adán in goal for some games and he single handedly gave the points to Atlético. Pick of the games of course. The best performance ever against Barcelona and this was likely to seal it for us... Surely? -No. The end of the season almost undid the whole season's job as the big teams simply don't drop points and we started doing just that. We didn't deserve to win against Villarreal but we finally did. We took 98 points from 38 games and Real Madrid finished only 2 points behind us. That was too close. I did a bit of an experience in the away leg and really lucky to beat them: Adán took the MOTM award in Rome but at home there were no questions asked. Crazy game where we completely destroyed Lazio who used a narrow 4-3-1-2. Our wide play really took a flame there. Gutted. I thought that we would be able to do it this year but no. I'm a sore loser but in fact the goals we conceded here were all cheap ones: 1. Herrero parried a free kick straight to opponent and a free goal was scored. 2. A dubious penalty. 3. Throw-in and player unmarked. 4. Stones 90+3': I was in the tactics screen making my final substitution and Stones just scored out of nowhere. Went in from the front corner so easily. Couldn't believe it. Got some trophies! Sad to see Him go. A true Legend. Well hello there. Stats.
Guest El Payaso
SEASON 9 REVIEW The King is back. Xavi Quintillá took the captains armband after being away for two seasons and Cervero and Susaeta retired. Also brought in two rotation options for cheap. Supercup was a sign for things to come this season. Barcelona had appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager and he wasn't as bad as Lucho was. First trophy of the season. La Liga offered us yet another unbeaten season. I decided to keep the fringe together even though many of the players demanded to move. That also got me sacked for the first time in my FM history: This happened in february so I decided to bring in a familiar face: Only one draw for 'Egea' and the team pulled themselves together for one last time... Road to the final was quite easy. The final instead was a nerve wrecking one as Levante scored twice from set plays. Finally we took the third trophy for the season: Won the group against Chelsea, St Etienne and Basel and finally took us all the way to the final: The final had it all and we did manage to conquer it on penalties. Finally. The team is now breaking apart and this is the end of this save game. It has been enjoyable and successful drive.

Guest El Payaso
Nothing fantastic but decent career for Leo. Over 20 goals for us. Tried to create whole style of play around him but I guess that his CA is too low to perform well regularly. BTW this is the final season for me in this version as I don't enjoy these kind of games and results happening all the time: That's UCL semi-final so we're still in there competing for every single trophy.
