Coaches teaching PPMs I told them not to

Whenever I ask a coach to teach a player a new preferred move and I get the "I don't think they can do that, they should do this instead" message... if I overrule the coach and tell them to go with my suggestion anyway, every time the coach apparently tries to teach the player both my suggestion and his own.

I know this because a few months later I get messages telling me the player has either succeeded or failed in learning two new moves, one of which I didn't want them to try.

Has anyone else experienced this or know how to stop it? Is it a bug, and if so, which sub-forum should I report it in?
