I recently took the Russia job after the previous manager was sacked. The team was facing a play-off for the Euro 2016 tournament. I won the play-off, but the board expectation stated that they wouldn't be judging my performance in qualifying as it was too soon to do so, which makes sense. Since then, I've gotten through the group in the tournament itself, but the board expectations for the qualifiers has suddenly changed. They've gone from not judging me to criticising me for our "poor performance". This is stupid for two reasons: a) they said originally that they weren't judging me and b) I wasn't in charge for qualifying except for the play-off, which we won! Why would it suddenly change?
