geordiep
Hi, I was wondering if I could get some of you to critique my new tactic. The Shape (VERY loosely based off of the Catenaccio): Player instructions: -----Mentality----Closing------Passing----Creative Freedom----Marking----Run With Ball GK----07 -------- 05 --------- 06 ------------- 04 ------------ Z ---------- R CBL---08 -------- 09 --------- 05 ------------- 04 ------------ Z ---------- R CBR---08 -------- 07 --------- 08 ------------- 07 ------------ Z ---------- R DRC---10 -------- 09 --------- 11 ------------- 06 ------------ Z ---------- M DML---11 -------- 15 --------- 06 ------------- 04 ------------ Z ---------- R WBL---13 -------- 08 --------- 08 ------------- 08 ------------ Z ---------- O MCR---12 -------- 13 --------- 13 ------------- 14 ------------ Z ---------- M AMR---12 -------- 15 --------- 09 ------------- 08 ------------ M ---------- M AMC---14 -------- 15 --------- 05 ------------- 15 ------------ M ---------- R STC---15 -------- 15 --------- 04 ------------- 09 ------------ Z ---------- M LFC----14 -------- 15 --------- 04 ------------- 08 ------------ M ---------- O ------Long Shots --- Through Ball------Cross Ball----Cross From----Cross Aim----Wide Play GK--------R ---------------- R ------------- R ----------- Deep ----- Mixed ----- Normal CBL-------R ---------------- R ------------- R ----------- Deep ----- Mixed ----- Normal CBR-------R ---------------- R ------------- R ----------- Deep ----- Mixed ----- Normal DRC-------R ---------------- R ------------- M ----------- Mixed ----- Mixed ----- Normal DML-------M ---------------- R ------------- R ----------- Deep ----- Mixed ----- Normal WBL-------R ---------------- M ------------- O ----------- Mixed ----- Near ----- Hug MCR-------M ---------------- O ------------- M ----------- Mixed ----- Mixed ----- Normal AMR-------R ---------------- M ------------- O ----------- Byline ----- Far ------- Inside AMC-------M ---------------- O ------------- M ----------- Mixed ----- Mixed ----- Channels STC-------M ---------------- R ------------- R ----------- Mixed ----- Mixed ----- Normal LFC-------R ---------------- M ------------- M ----------- Byline ----- Mixed ----- Hug Free Roles = STC, AMC Team Instructions: Defensive Line 14 Width 15 Tempo 16 Time Wasting 14 Focus Pass Left Counter No Offside Trap No Key: Z = Zonal R = Rarely M = Mixed O = Often http://www.2shared.com/file/jj0A-TyF/Catenaccio_Left_V11.html

geordiep
Unfortuntly my laptop battery ranout before windows went into hibernation - meaning that I lost my current save and have had to play the preseason matches again. Anyway, the results are a bit meh I started fiddling after the Bolton match and never seemed to recover. Then my number 1 GK got injured and my backup keeper is not very good. The changes I have made is that I find that the STL and WBL are often occupying the same area of the pitch, which I found wasteful so I have tweaked them to try to avoid that. Also I tried to tighten up the defence by stopping the RB getting forward as much but it seems to have backfired. There are a few other small tweaks as well. http://www.2shared.com/file/HOiYmD-s/Catenaccio_Left_V13.html I'm still not happy with it so expect further changes.
