matty2323
Everyone knows about the near post "bug". Its quite common to have a CB scoring 10+ goals a season. However, i just wanted to add something ive discovered on top of this. (It might be common knowledge and im only just clicking on). I play as West Ham, so naturally ive have quite a Tall squad. I have my corner takers whipping the ball towards the near post like everyone else, with a CB attacking it. However, i was finding that on several occassions the keeper was making point blank saves. Up step my STC (Carlton Cole, John Carew). I moved them from "go forward" to "mark keeper". That was about 5 games ago. Since then ive scored 8 goals from corners, 3 to Tomkins, 5 to Cole. The amount of times my defenders win the ball from a corner and head it goal-wards is quite high, but with Cole standing in front of the keeper, he is able to help it on it's way and flick in from 1-2 yards out. Worth a try to anyone who wants their striker picking up cheap goals and gaining morale!
