sabex
I am not too up on the PSP but a general cruise of the internet reveals that there are some variations on the basic PSP which include other things like memory chips and so forth. The SI website lists under requirements: coming soon. Given that i will be buying the PSP purely to play FM, what is the absolute minimum set of accessories I need? Are there any recommended accessories, eg hard drive etc? Thanks

sabex
I should add that the primary reason for the purchase is an upcoming flight to New Zealand and I need to keep myself entertained for 20 odd hours. I assume I would need additional batteries...
daviddias123
Unless i am mistaken there are no hard drives for the psp. The game will work on any psp, i would get a giga pack (psp plus 1Gb memory card) so you can have a few saved games on the go, oh and put the odd movie on there aswell for your flight. You will need to update the firmware for the psp probably, but the game does that for you the first time you start it up
daviddias123
Yup you will need xtra batteries, the most i have got out of the battery with FMH is around 7 hours, which is the best i have achieved for any games or video watching on the psp.
sean_oc16
Yeah, definitely need extra batteries and at least 1Gb memory card. I think you can get a hard drive for PSP, it's like 4Gb or something and you attach it onto the back of the PSP
sabex
Thanks for the feedback. So far, I am hearing I need a memory stick and additional battery. I have seen an PSP external battery . Has anyone tried one out yet?
pdid
You can get a 4gb memory card now, not cheap at £120 cheapest, but it looks a dam sight better than the ugly, sticky out 4gb HDD. Cheers P
danger_mouse
No need for the 1GB pack!!! I only have the 32MB stick and could still fit another 4-5 games on there and i have songs pics and about 5 other saved games!
sean_oc16
but you need more memory for videos or several albums saved to memory stick.
sean_oc16
at least 1gb highly recommended
sabex
thanks for all the advice. I really don't intend to watch movies etc and I rarely play more than one game so i will probably go with a 512MB stick and split the difference.... That should free up some cash for the addiutional batteries....
