Struggling to get a System for a Weak Team...

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys.

I'm Hull City (Media Prediction 20th :o), and I've been experimenting with a lot's of different systems and I really can't to find a successful one. I do understand that I am one of the weakest teams in the league, so I can't attack and throw men forward constantly. I've been trying to make a counter system but failed badly. So I was wondering if anyone has had some success with weak teams like Hull, Burnley, Wolves, etc. What Philosophy did you use?

This was my most successful System:

4-2-3-1.

Rigid

More Direct

Less Expressive.

Everything else set to default.

GK: Default

DR: Full Back (Automatic)

DL: Full Back (Automatic)

DC: Limited Defender (Defend)

DC: Limited Defender (Defend)

MC: Ball-Winning Midfielder (Defend)

MC: Ball-Winning Midfielder (Support)

AMR: Inside Forward (Attack)

AML: Winger (Attack)

AMC: Attacking Midfielder (Support)

ST: Target-Man (Attack)

Have Playmaker as Geovanni (AMC)

Have no Target-Man, but Striker is set to Target-Man, as Vennegoor of Hesselink is strong and good in the air.

Does anyone want to post some views on Relegation Candidates tactics.... I am hoping to get alot of views on the matter so that people can come to this thread and get advice when managing these teams.

how well do you do in possession during matches? play a shorter game if you're constantly losing the ball

Match 1: 43% (Manchester Utd)

Match 2: 49% (Burnley)

Match 3: 57% (Millwall)

Match 4: 51% (Birmingham)

Match 5: 51% (Portsmouth)

Match 6: 54% (Sunderland)

Match 7: 50% (Everton)

Match 8: 54% (Tottenham)

Match 9: 43% (Chelsea)

Match 10: 44% (Wigan)

On average the Direct Passing does okay.
