How to retain B team players

Hi guys. Need some help here.

I created an expanded version of my local league, which includes B teams of clubs from other nations. Affiliated club was set as 'B team', with no other options clicked. I transfered a few players from the main club to the feeder B team. However, when I load a new game, the players went back to the parent club. I've also noticed that whatever players the B team signs will just go into the squad for the main club.

Any idea where I'm going wrong? One of the B teams already in the database held its players instead of them going to the parent club.
