FootyMadder
There seems to be a problem with genie scout because on my Barcelona game I loaded up the save in Genie and looked at the same players. There were certain players like Palacio who it said had current rating 79% and potential rating 84% (I'm remembering the figures best I can) but then a few months later in a different save, Palacio's potential rating had dropped to 82%. Similar, a regen I signed had potential rating 77% and then the following season it's potential rating 85%?? What is going on here? Thanks in advance
Cenotaph
The potential rating is not a set number, it varies. Depending on injuries, training and most likely much more.
FootyMadder
So would you say it's better to go along with Current Ability and Potential Ability figures when deciding who to buy?
Cenotaph
What you really can use the potential rating to do, is to see how fast they will develop. A 16 year old with CA 90 and PA 188 with a 80% potential rating. Will rise in the grades fast, and be a wonderkid in a few years time. A 16 year old with CA 90 and PA 188 with a 68% rating, can develop to become a great player, but he won't reach high CA until mid/late 20s.
chapperzUK
How can Genie Scout calculate the potential attributes of a player? Is it down to CA and PA or are there other factors?
phnompenhandy
Potential Rating is different to PA. Genie has his own algorithm of position weightings. This can be changed by the user - e.g. maybe you rate Determination more highly than he does - you can factor it in.
