  • Scottish League Cup Midseason Rebrand

    In Scotland, the League Cup was rebranded mid season. It is no longer the Premier Sports Cup but is now the Viaplay Cup. This can be confirmed via the official SPFL site - https://spfl.co.uk/news/press-release-viaplay-cup 

    All branding, marketing etc. is now aligned to the Viaplay Cup. I think SI have the license for this competition which is currently in game as Premier Sports Cup. 

    Thought to flag incase not already known and given that the upcoming Semi Finals and Finals in real life will be branded as the Viaplay Cup. 

    The above is because Viaplay bought Premier Sports and went for a full rebrand. 

    The new logo is shown below too and can be seen on the above press release along the bottom of the screen. Not sure if there is a better quality version out there somewhere to replace the current one in game.

    I should have added that the colour scheme will likely change too. The current one in game is against the Premier Sports colours of Black and Yellow, but Viaplay go for a white background with either pink or black text. The image of the trophy in the press release shows the Viaplay colour scheme.
