  • Champions League TV Revenue

    In the 2024-2025 season, the format of the Champions League changes which appears to have detrimental effects on the TV revenue. 

    Playing as Dortmund, in 2022-23 and 2023-24 I finished 3rd in the group stages and earned £42,403,118 and £37'848'932. In 2024-25 I was knocked out in the quarter final stage but only earned £750'000 in TV revenue. 

    Is this a new rule or has the TV revenue been misattributed?

    Has this been fixed in any of the updates?

    I'm playing a save started in the full version where I only received £3.5m in Champions League TV Revenue in the 2024/5 season after making it to the round of 16.

    It's a bit of a game breaker because it removes the financial incentive for qualifying & doing well in the CL.

    I have nearly the same issue. Playing Dortmund as well, now being in December 2024 in the "new" Champions LEague format, I only receive between 45k (vs Porto) and max 70k (vs Madrid) in the League phase for a game which is a whole magnitude less than for TV revenue of the DFB Pohal (750k per game approx)
